Introduction: Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death among women. Neuroendocrine tumors are aggressive and develop from endocrine cells in various organs, including the female genital tract, and specifically the uterine cervix. Objective: to describe the clinical- epidemiological characteristics of small cell carcinoma. Methodology: we made a review of the bibliography on the subject and presented the results. Results: They account for 0.9%–1.5% of all tumors of the uterine cervix and generally affect women of reproductive age. Given the rarity of the disease, limited data are currently available regarding the biology, clinical behavior, and management of such aggressive tumors. The etiopathogenetic association between cervical small cell carcinoma (SCCC) and high- risk HPV infections has been well documented in some studies and has a much worse prognosis compared with other histological types of cervical carcinoma. The treatment modalities of SCCC and small-cell lung cancer are similar due to similar biological behavior. Chemotherapy is an important component of multimodal therapy. We made a case presentation of a patient with diagnosis of SCCC with an overall survival of six years, well above the average international survival. Conclusions: research should continue to reach consensus on the appropriate treatment.

Introduction: Thromboembolic disease encompasses two major entities that are deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary thromboembolism together constitute the second leading cause of death in cancer patients and sometimes the first manifestation of underlying hidden neoplasm. It occurs most frequently in stomach, pancreas, gynecological, bladder, testicle and lung tumors, where it appears in up to 14% of cases and can increase further with treatment. For its management it is recommended to evaluate the risk and subsequently the use of low molecular weight heparins, although other options can be used. Objective: to explain the epidemiological ant pathophysiological elements and the treatment of thromboembolic disease in patients with lung cancer. Methodology: A review and analysis of the bibliography was carried out, detailing incidence, etiology in cancer patients and main management options. Conclusions: Its proper diagnosis and timely management will ensure for patients a better quality of life and greater overall survival, and for hospital institutions a reduction in significant expenditures.

Introduction: The histological classification of surgery tumors by the World Health Organization (WHO) is based on histogenetic principles, and it divides surgery tumors according to their derivation of epithelial cells, germ cells and mesenchymal cells (stroma and sex cord). Objective: to describe the clinical- epidemiological characteristics of clear cell ovarian carcinoma. Methodology: we made a review of the bibliography on the subject and presented the results. Results: Clear cell carcinoma (CCC) of the ovary has been reported to have a worse prognosis than all other neoplasms in this group. Taking this into account, this presentation of a case attended in our institution has been carried out, with an effective treatment, valid for the survival of the patient and a good quality of life. Conclusions: it is an epithelial ovarian tumor frequently resistant to conventional chemotherapy.

Abstract Introduction: Hepatoid carcinoma of the pancreas (CHP) is extremely rare. It is a primary extrahepatic neoplasm that resembles hepatocellular carcinoma in terms of morphology and immunohistochemistry. In the pancreas, hepatoid carcinoma could be pure or mixed with other histological components such as neuroendocrine tumor or pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Objective: to describe the clinical- epidemiological characteristics of hepatoid carcinoma of the pancreas. Methodology: we made a review of the bibliography on the subject and presented the results. Results: Induction of hepatocytes in the pancreas has been performed in several animal models. A case is presented at our stately institution T3 N0 M1, Clinical Stage IV, which received oncospecific treatment with chemotherapy, GEMOX scheme (12 cycles), with good tumor response, which at 6 months is revalued with CT that shows moderate ascites, second-line treatment with Gramont scheme (6 cycles) is decided according to response. Conclusions: it is a rare entity whose management is based on chemotherapy.

Introduction: Adrenocortical carcinoma is a rare entity with an annual incidence of 1-2 cases per million people. Oncocytic neoplasms that arise in the adrenal glands are extremely rare, and are usually discovered as non- functional and mostly benign tumors. Objective: to describe the clinical- epidemiological characteristics of adrenal cortex secretor tumor. Methodology: we made a review of the bibliography on the subject and presented the results. Results: Since the first description confirmed by electron microscopy in 1986, approximately 147 cases have been reported in the literature, most often described as incidental findings. The case is presented of a woman with adrenal cortex secretor tumor successfully treated, with disappearance of the initial clinic and who remains with excellent quality of life. Conclusions: it is a rare entity whose management is mainly based on surgery.

Introduction Damage control surgery has constituted an orderly step strategy that allows a severely traumatized patient to be given a second chance, with the purpose of preventing the deadly triad (coagulopathy, acidosis, hypothermia), in this paper the surgery is compared Conventional with damage control surgery Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of damage control surgery (CCD) versus conventional surgery (CC) in patients with severe abdominal trauma. Methodology: Patients with severe abdominal trauma undergoing damage control surgery and conventional surgery were included in the Surgery Service of the Abel Gilbert Pontón Hospital from January 2016 to December 2018. For which data from the computer system, medical records were reviewed. and operating records. Results: Of the studied population represented by fifty-eight patients, 79% underwent damage control surgery and 21% conventional surgery, with severe hemodynamic alterations assessed by ISS scales, RTS, Shock index. The most frequent type of trauma in the CCD was the penetrating in 59%, while in the CC the closed trauma represented by 58% was more frequent. Within the study it was observed that there was an alteration of coagulopathy in a greater percentage in patients undergoing damage control surgery with 61%. In both groups the most frequent surgical time is given between the ranges of 61 to 120 min. And the days of stay in the ICU were greater than 7 days with a totalization in their hospitalization days were greater than 15 days for both surgical strategies. Of the group studied, the one with the lowest mortality was in CCD with 33%, and the one with the highest mortality was in patients with mixed lesions 60% in CCD and in a minority 36% in CC. According to the RTS scale, there was a better survival in patients with CCD with 72%, it was also established in the mortality adjusted to the ISS that there are better results in the CCD since increasing their index does not increase their mortality. Conclusions: Damage Control surgery has a better outcome in the scenario of patients with severe penetrating abdominal trauma. Keywords: damage control, abdominal trauma, conventional surgery.

Introduction: Testicular cancer is the most common malignancy in men from 15 to 45 years, it represents 1% of male tumors and 5% of urological malignancies, its incidence has doubled in the last 40 years; effective management and prognosis are excellent with >90% healing rate and >95% survival rate at 5 years. Objective: to explain the clinical- epidemiological characteristics of diffuse testicular lymphoma of large B cells. Methodology: we made a review of the bibliography on the subject and presented the results. Results and discussion: Lymphomas areup to34.7% of paratesticular stromal tumors and may be primarys (LTP) or secondarys. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (LDCGB) is the most common type of testicular lymphoma. Most patients have a one-sided testicular mass andup to90% have stage I or II disease at the time of diagnosis. In 35% of patients, bilateral testicular involvement is detected and in more advanced stages there is paraaortic lymph node involvement; ascites and abdominal pain are evident. The surgical treatment combined with R-CHOP21, IT-MTX and RT testicular has been associated with a good result. We made a case presentation of a patient diagnosed with diffuse testicular lymphoma of large B cells. Conclusions: testicular lymphoma can be primary or secondary and its management is based on orchiectomy and chemotherapy.

Introduction: Breast primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma is an infrequent entity, is less than the 0,5% of all the malignancies of the breast. Due the lack of specific characteristics, clinics or by image (mammogram and ultrasound), it is difficult to stablished a pre surgical diagnoses, confused it with breast carcinoma, that could even occur with the cytological and histologic diagnosis using any of the current pathology methods. Immunohistochemistry is required to corroborate the diagnosis, type its cell of origin and select and adequate and more precise treatments. Objective: To explain the clinical and pathological characteristics of the primary extranodal NHL of the breast through the presentation of a case. Methodology: A review of the literature related to the subject was carried out and this review was prepared, the exposed case was diagnosed and treated at the Faustino Pérez Hospital in Matanzas, Cuba. Results: We present a case of a Breast primary extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma in a patient of 66 years old that shows a bad outcome, being deceased at the time of this report. Conclusions: it is a rare entity, with an unfavorable prognosis. There is a lack of clinical, diagnostic or therapeutic guidelines that allow optimizing the diagnosis and immunohistochemistry is essential to filiate the type of lymphoma and to be able to propose a treatment with immunotherapy.
