Based on the study of La Protesta and La Antorcha newspapers we analyse how anarchist movement studied the indigenous issue of former the Norte Grande region of Argentina. This article begins in 1911, after the Centenary of Mayo Revolution repression, when Colonel Enrique Rostagno carried out a second military campaign to Gran Chaco. His objective was to use native comunities as a labour force in wood manufacturing, mate plantations and sugar factories. Our article ends at 1924, when the Napalpí reduction was repressed by the state and ended the forced removal promoted by the sugar factories and wood manufacturing since nineteenth century.

Sixty years after its triumph, the Cuban Revolution continues to provoke passionate debates about its significance and realities, as it sparked the hope of a deep change in the fates of the American peoples. However, a left-wing family questioned it in its very origins, noting, very early on, the dangerous turn taken towards Soviet-style socialism. This article examines how the anarchists reacted and interpreted this process. The analysis draw on different publications and documents produced by libertarian organizations in Argentina, Cuba, Mexico and Uruguay between 1960 and 1962.

The complexity of the profession of architect and urban planner is diverse, therefore, their graduation needs to be multidisciplinary. It is not possible to separate the competences of the professional in the area of geoinformation, as it is essential to quickly and simply understand the spatial patterns of space. Therefore, this work seeks to make a critical analysis of the process of formation of the architect and urban planner in the face of geoinformational knowledge and its technologies, given the current complexities of the area. Using quantitative methods for the analysis of curriculum and qualitative methods for the understanding of geoinformation and its technologies in the course conclusion works, it was possible to understand how the panorama of the area is in the formation of the architect and urban planner in Brazil. It was possible to identify the low obligatoriness of the disciplines of the area that are reflected in the fragility of the spatial analyses, when carried out, in the pre-project phase. Thus, the work points to the importance of a review of the geoinformational and geotechnological framework for the curricula of architects and urban planners that best contribute and facilitate diagnostic reading and design stages.

This article consists of an investigation into the space of inhabitation of the Italian immigrant in Rio Grande do Sul, taking as object of analysis the literary novels “A Cocanha” and “O Quat-rilho”, works by José Clemente Pozenato. The key issue for the development of this study refers to the evolution of immigrants' constructions over time, taking into account the objec-tive and subjective aspects of living. As for the methodology, the article is structured around the study of the novels, mentioned above, and from them, a specific iconographic and biblio-graphic survey is developed about the process of Italian colonization in the Rio Grande do Sul mountains. With the compilation and organization of the data obtained, it was possible to build a chronological line, organized in accordance with these literary narratives and theoretical references. The synthesis of this information allowed the idealization of analyzes that go be-yond the architectural field, also entering emotional and historical issues through the use of an interdisciplinary methodology that involves literature as a field of study. When combined with literature and materialized in photographs, architecture expresses, in addition to technical as-pects, a poetic dimension, contributing to the understanding of constructions as scenarios of human life, loaded with feelings, memories, identity and local culture.

The article presents an analysis of different morphological patterns of urban open spaces in the city of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. The article presents a comparative-analytical study of two urban projects, a Minha Casa Minha Vida subdivision, the Residencial Pequis, and a neighborhood planned by a business group, the Granja Marileusa. The research started from the premise that, in medium-sized cities, the open spaces produced by the new subdivisions form subsystems, with different categories and distinct systemic patterns. Thus, the configuration and materialization of open spaces of two antagonistic models was analyzed, one aimed at the low-income population, which follows the pattern of many Minha Casa Minha Vida program projects, and the other based on the principles of the new urbanism, aimed at the middle and high-income population. The methodology used was the morphological reading based on three tools: quantitative and qualitative, through the morphological elements provided for by urban legislation; categorization of urban open spaces subsystems, through their insertion in the urban fabric and the characteristics of use and occupation; and analysis of the distribution of the morphological elements of the subdivisions. As a result, it was noticed that open spaces are designed differently in each situation and therefore have different degrees of importance and urban quality, however, they tend to form their own subsystems with potential for use and appropriation.
