Resumen
In this paper we briefly discuss the relationship between archaeology and communities from our work experience as team members of the Historical Archaeology of the Battle of Cepeda Project along with the Museum of the Battle of Cepeda. We present our first meetings with the community of Mariano Benítez (Pergamino, Buenos Aires), emphasizing the archaeological activities developed to approach the topic of the battles with children. We express our epistemological perspective and define parameters from which we design and implement these activities, questioning traditional practices and acknowledging the importance of interacting with different actors. We recognize the commitment to work together with communities is key to transcend academia and contribute to participatory and collaborative practices.

Resumen
In this paper, we present the first results of the analysis of the artifactual sample recovered in surface contexts at Paredón de los Grabados area (Río Negro province, Argentina). The raw materials and certain technological characteristics of the assemblages were studied. Also, we carried out a brief comparison with the lithic assemblages from the West coast of San Matías Gulf, in the aforementioned province. The results indicate that the inland assemblages present a higher proportion of instruments, more advanced flaking stages, instruments with simple edges mainly and the use of excellent and very good quality rocks for flaking activities. The sample would indicate a space equipment through the abandonment of instruments with potential of use, unlike what happens on the coast where this would have occurred through the abandonment of cores. Also, the coastal assemblages show greater variability regarding the quality of the rocks that were used and a great presence of the reduction process first stages. Finally, it has not been possible to establish a clear relationship between the coast and the interior taking into account the lithic analysis.

Resumen
The article presents a functional morphological analysis of the fragments of earthenware recovered in the archaeological site Mariano Miró (1901-1913), department of Chapaleufú, Province of La Pampa, Argentina. From the analysis of the distribution of these fragments, possible base forms of the earthenware materials are determined and their decoration is analyzed both from the surface materials and from the materials recovered in excavation.

Resumen
This paper attempts to link the rock art produced in ancestral times on the rocky walls of the Sierra de Capivara National Park, Piauí (PI) with some economic issues they could raise. The images include hunting, collecting and general relations with the natural environmente scenes. We will approach issues such as reciprocity, exchange and redistribution because, in our humble opinion, they presente connections with what was produced in those immemorial times. Our analysis finds support in certain texts written by Marshall Sahlins and Steven Mithen, among others.

Resumen
This work presents a review of the ceramic, lithic and bone materials from Oliveras´s collection, recovered from the Cañada Saldaña site in the 1950s. In addition, new contextual and chronological data obtained from recent field and laboratory work are provided. The site is located on the left bank of the Uruguay river (República Oriental del Uruguay, Soriano Department) on a coastal beach ridge formed from the decrease in sea level after the maximum transgressive Holocene. The recovered archaeological assemblage was generated by Late Holocene hunter-gatherers, who present numerous points of contact with the later contexts generically known as “Goya-Malabrigo”. The radiocarbon dates indicate that the site was occupied between ca. 1900 and 1700 years 14C B.P. The recovered context corresponds probably to a base-camp with a significant residential stability. The context includes pottery with a great stylistic complexity and a significant typological variability, lithic instruments (including bola stones), and a large number of bone artifacts. The subsistence was based on the exploitation of the fauna resources of the interior plain and the fluvial environment. The characteristics of the context are discussed in relation to others in the region that have the same antiquity, and some data related to its formation process are presented.
