This article aims to discuss the effects of the spatial and urbanistic modifications in the City Park from the reflection toward the right to the city and the geographic, historic, and educational premises around this right. The research begins with the following issue: how can Environmental Education help comprehend the city as a right and, in this perspective, contribute to facing the socio-environmental impacts resulting from the limitation of this right in the northern area of Aracaju, Sergipe? The reason and the importance of this study present itself in the fact that the locus is suffering from the social inequality and socio-environmental vulnerability of the city, which are crucial to the present possibilities to transform the local reality. The methodological procedures were stage delimited through the following: survey and systematization of theoretical support, and data production and analysis. The data were provided based on the “Historical Images” tool of the program Google Earth and then analyzed under the specialized literature. The results show the City Park as a place of disenchantment in the capital due to the restrictions of the right to the city and subjects such as the lack of government investment and environmental degradation, which leads to Environmental Education being presented as a means to awaken the (re)enchantment and care to this place and, consequently, to the appropriation of the mentioned right.

Currently, there are thousands of companies competing for the initiative in the technologic framework and their available resources to ensure that the market will always be solvent to meet their needs. Thus, strategies are applied at the national and local levels, to improve the companies' growth, by applying new processes in their policies, enhancing the development of acrylic fiber items commercialization. The inconveniences that affect the companies force them to find alternative solutions. By specifically dealing with the inventories as an essential capital solution found in the assets, which entail high administrative personnel and materials costs, and warehouse storage space, which necessarily require practical answers in order to balance the variables: customer and product rotation. The current research incorporates a multi-criteria mathematical model by developing a software that combines the C# programming language and the MATLAB computer package. This model will solve the inventory problem concerning orders of the highest demand products in the local and national market; thus, optimizing resources and finding a balanced solution for product rotation within an accurate inventory. The mathematical model is based on the "ABC" multi-criteria inventory analysis that combines marketing variables.

Dynamics involved in the teaching-learning processes, together with the society requirements, globalization, and internationalization, which demand high standards in academic quality and efficient management of Higher Education Institutions (HEI), have led to the application of innovative processes for the development of substantive functions and their internal management models. In this context, the Quality Management Systems implemented in manufacturing and service industries have been adapted to the HEI, with the purpose of guaranteeing high levels of quality for the development of the internal processes of teaching, research, and linkage with society. In the case of the Catholic University of Cuenca, the implementation of quality management systems in the research processes has allowed guaranteeing an organic structure and adequate planning of activities focused on the development of research programs and projects. This has contributed to the establishment of a set of institutional policies that are reflected in an increase in the per capita scientific production rate of professors. The study covers the period from 2015 to 2020.

This paper aims to propose the implementation of an innovative digital system for architectural design. This new method, based on the interpretation of human emotions for music composition, and the analysis of dreams, would be able to translate images based on architects’ memories, emotions, and learning to design architectural spaces. If this system is able to build, how will it affect architectural design? Different investigations, studies, and analyses are needed to support and answer this thesis. A discovery of a system for musical composition in London, based on the analysis of neural impulses and brain waves; the comparison between the process used for musical composition and architectural design through the explanation of renowned musicians and architects’ methods; and the study of dreams through brain wave analysis would provide us with results and possible benefits for an easier method to design architectural areas. This implementation will offer three benefits: accelerate the design process, automatically associate images and concepts, and have a pure and natural architectural design. Also, the system, capable of linking different images, concepts, emotions, and experiences, would provide various options of spaces produced by the architect. However, understanding that technology will keep advancing with time, human being labor is always needed to refine the method, and an architect would be needed to define and be in charge of choosing between the different options of spaces that the system produced.

This article explains the implementation of a Business Intelligence system to manage the productivity indicator of the outpatient area of the Pablo Jaramillo Humanitarian Hospital, which is part of a corporate group of companies. The productivity indicator refers to the number of patients seen in consultation in a period of time, by specialty and doctor. Currently the indicator is generated manually and only when the month ends and for this a flat report is requested that has to be tabulated in spreadsheets. To solve this problem, a Business Intelligence system was created that daily and automatically updates the information required to feed this indicator and is presented in a specialized tool for BI with information cut off the previous day. The implementation was carried out using its own methodology and the official tools of the group were used. After implementation, the results and benefits they represent for the hospital are validated, both in terms of delivery time and in resources used prior to and after implementation. The main benefits are: the elimination of the time required to obtain the indicator results, the rapid analysis of the indicators and the great variety of information obtained from a single dashboard.

This research develops a methodology for penetration testing execution, that it’s easy and fast to deploy, especially for small companies that do not have IT staff or have limited staff in this area. To achieve this, the developed methodology is based on the execution of automated tools, while providing techniques and processes that are necessary for its proper implementation. The application of the case study allowed to verify that the developed methodology is effective, fast and optimizes the use of resources. The results demonstrate a lack of awareness of companies in cybersecurity related issues and reveal little or no knowledge of IT professionals in this topic.
