Resumen
The various types of yoga are used for health purposes, and it is classified as a type of non-conventional physical exercise in which physical postures (asanas), breath awareness (pranayamas) and mind focus (meditation) are worked on for a mindbody intervention. Yoga is meditation in movement. The World Health Organization places it among the practices of Traditional and Complementary Medicine, which encompasses practices that focus on the interaction between the brain, mind, body and behavior and that use the mind to affect physical functions and promote health. In this sense, the aim was to provide a space oriented to strengthen physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, through the practice of yoga, to all members of the educational community of the School of Medicine of the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste (UNNE). It was planned through the Department of Human and Social Sciences, in conjunction with different Secretariats of the Faculty and the subject Medicine, Man and Society, a call for teachers, management staff and students for a Yoga Workshop: A place to be well, scheduled twice a week, for a period of one month in the two sites of the faculty. Participants expressed that the practice helped them in "flexibility, strength and well-being", "relax", "fall asleep and sleep better", "connect with myself, with my inner self", "let go of things outside", "get stress and anxiety out", "peace", "work with the breath", "disconnect for a moment", "take some time", "free my mind, emotions and feelings that were weighing me down", "concentrate on my studies", "innovative", "recommendable", "I like that it is in the faculty environment and among peers". In the experience, the students have perceived physical, emotional and mental changes, which translates into an improvement in their quality of life. Being able to continue with these practices in the academic environment can favor and provide resources to face situations of stress and anxiety that are generated in this path to become health professionals.

Resumen
Objective: to propose a nursing care plan for the diagnostic labels of impaired gas exchange and the risk of unstable blood glucose levels in hospitalized patients diagnosed with diabetes and COVID-19. Methodology: a bibliographic review was carried out in various databases such as Cuiden, Elsevier, Dialnet, Scielo and Google Academic, of those works that analyzed nursing competencies in patients diagnosed with COVID-19 and diabetes mellitus. Subsequently, a nursing care plan will be produced with the two main diagnostic labels, as well as their nursing interventions under the NANDA, NIC and NOC taxonomy. Results: nursing care plans were developed for the diagnostic labels: a) impaired gas exchange and b) risk of unstable blood glucose level. Conclusion: the development of proposals about nursing care plans for hospitalized patients with diabetes and COVID-19 will contribute to the reduction of the main complications presented by these patients and will favor the standard of nursing staff care.

Ayahuasca, a tea initially used by Amerindian people, for medicinal, religious and sacramental purposes, and later spread in many parts of the world in urban contexts, which, in addition to its religious and spiritual use, also recreational use. The ayahuasca tea contains a very characteristic chemical profile consisting of psychoactive alkaloids that are N, N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT) with tryptamine structure, and harmala alkaloids with a β-carbolines structure, which administered orally, in synergy, acts on receptors in cells, mainly in central nervous system. The activation of the 5-HT1A/1B/1D/2A/2B/2C/6/7 receptors, Sigma-1 (S1R) intracellular receptors and TAAR1 receptors, glutamatergic receptors, and by modulation of the dopaminergic system, may explain its antidepressant and anti-addictive therapeutic properties. The specific activation of receptor 5-HT2A, not yet fully elucidated, apparently has properties that induce neuronal plasticity, a property called psychoplastogenic, stimulating neurogenesis, proliferation, migration and neuronal differentiation, increasing the complexity of dendritic tree, stimulating the neuritogenesis, spinogenesis and synapse formation in vitro and in vivo, in cell culture and in mice. These properties, if properly studied, can be used in modern medicine, helping in various health disorders as a possible complementary tool.

Resumen
The odontoid process (AO) is a bony eminence that is located in the vertebral body of the axis (C2) in its anterior part. Odontoid fractures (OF) are frequently caused by low-power impacts or falls in older adults and higher-power accidents in young people. The most common mechanism of injury is hyperextension of the cervical spine. The diagnosis is based on imaging studies that allow the observer to use the Anderson and D’Alonzo classification in conjunction with the Grauer classification for odontoid fracture types. In addition, this classification allows to evaluate the most appropriate therapeutic method. The objective of this review is to demonstrate which are the most important factors when deciding on a treatment for odontoid fractures and the efficacy of the different therapies currently applied to these conditions. In conclusion, it became evident that, when choosing the treatment, the two fundamental factors are the patient’s age and comorbidities, although surgical treatment has given better results than immobilization, it does not operate because of the patient’s condition.

Resumen
The effects of the Pandemic caused by COVID 19 draw challenges but also opportunities for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) at a global level, in this context the meaning of the strategic planning of HEIs is taken up in order to reflect on its reason of being, as a result of a documentary research based on the bibliographic review and comparative content analysis of the development plans of Mexican universities. The results of this work are relevant to the provisions issued in the General Law of Higher Education in 2021 in Mexico. Thus, strategic planning exercises require resignification so that HEIs are able to capture in their strategic planning exercises a guiding course that directs their interest groups and society in general to a better world.

Resumen
Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a hereditary, autosomal recessive neuromuscular disease. It causes progressive weakness and generalized muscle atrophy. Type I spinal muscular atrophy (Werdnig-Hoffmann disease) is the most severe form. This work offers a description of a four-month follow-up experience with a kinesic treatment in a patient suffering from this pathology. The patient was evaluated, and taking into account her clinical history, needs and restrictions, a kinesthetic treatment based on kinesitherapy and Kinefilaxia was developed and executed, also using tools to stimulate the cognitive- sensory area in coordination with her tutors. The results obtained from this experience were optimal, since the objectives previously set were met with the progress of the sessions, where the mínimum was a breakthrough.

Resumen
Ankle fractures are among the most common musculoskeletal injuries, mostly caused by a forced supination-external rotation mechanism of the ankle. The objective is to determine the effectiveness of surgical treatment of weber B type ankle fractures according to anatomical-functional results. This is an observational, retrospective, analytical and cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach, which analyzed the data of 162 patients with Weber B type ankle fractures from the General Hospital of the North of Guayaquil Los Ceibos during the period 2019. The SPSS software was used. version 28.0 for statistical data management, using a confidence level of 95%. Among the results, it is reported that the average age was 28.32 (SD ±3.548) with a range of 18 to 72 years of age. There were 78% men and 22% women. Indirect trauma prevailed with 89%. The most common etiologies were sports (66%) and falls from body height (21%). It is reported after 3 postoperative months, 49% of excellent results, 34% of good results, 13% of regular results and 4% of poor functional results. It was shown that there are statistically significant differences between the means at the beginning and at 3 months postoperatively (p=0.0001). Postoperative complications were found in 12%: surgical site infection (9%), suture dehiscence (7%), implant fatigue (5%) and implant migration (3%). It is concluded that surgical fixation of unstable ankle fractures in adult patients provides an acceptable functional result with a low rate of complications.

Resumen
The evaluation of the state of tissue perfusion in critically ill patients is essential for the prognosis of the patient, especially in states of sepsis and septic shock in immunocompromised patients. The objective of the study was to determine the markers of tissue hypoperfusion in the survival of cancer patients with septic shock in the intensive care unit. It is an observational, analytical, retrospective longitudinal study, which spanned from August 1, 2019 to August 1, 2020. The sample included the study of 81 medical records of patients admitted to the intensive care unit of the National Oncology Institute "Dr. Juan Tanca Marengo”. It is reported that the group >60 years represented 56%, predominantly female (62%). The most frequent comorbidity was arterial hypertension (42%). Solid tumors (73%) and abdominal infectious focus (35%) were characteristic in patients with septic shock. The sensitivity was 86% (SvcO2), 98% (lactate), 89% (?pCO2) and 94% (?pCO2/Ca-vO2). , while the specificity was 82% (SvcO2), 55% (lactate), 86% (?pCO2) and 90% (?pCO2/Ca-vO2).The level of diagnostic agreement was 0.58 for SvcO2, 0.60 for lactate, 0.89 for ?pCO2 and 0.91 for ?pCO2/Ca-vO2 ?pCO2 (0.952) and ?pCO2/Ca-vO2 (0.981) obtained the AUC (area under c urva) closest to unity. It is concluded that ?pCO2 and ?pCO2/Ca-vO2 are the tissue perfusion biomarkers with the greatest predictive capacity for mortality, reaching the highest values ??of sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV and concordance of the research.

Resumen
Currently, diagnostic methods against thyroid nodules have allowed early identification, prevalences are estimated between 3% and 67%, with higher frequencies in women and older adults, reaching 50-70% in people over 60 years, however, these prevalences they vary and depend on the diagnostic technique used from palpation to imaging tests and biopsies. The objective of this study is to update the theoretical references on the evaluation and management of the thyroid nodule. A documentary review of recent research was carried out in Elsevier, Pubmed and Scopus databases, Scielo of articles published between 2016 and 2020, in English and Spanish. Clinical trials, meta-analyses, case reports, and data analysis studies were excluded. Every nodule must consider the differential diagnosis between a benign or malignant process, to define an early conduct that guarantees safety and tranquility for the patient, favorably 95% are of benign origin and 5%, neoplasms, mainly papillary thyroid cancer; The clinical and ultrasound characteristics allow us to guide the nature of the lesion, however, they are not conclusive. The absence of risk factors or clinical signs of malignancy, as well as the presence of normal findings in laboratory tests do not exclude the presence of malignancy.
