Resumen
A live birth of less than 37 weeks is considered premature. Every year 15 million preterm infants are born, about 1 million of them die annually, and many of the survivors suffer from neurological alterations. Objective: To review the scientific literature on minimal manipulation in preterm infants. Methodology: A systematic review of the literature will be carried out. The research was carried out through the following search engines: SciELO, PubMed, Scopus, Redalyc, Lilacs and Google Scholar. Results: The main complications related to the management of premature patients are presented, and the importance of the nurse's role in the care of these patients is highlighted. Conclusions: It´s essential that the professionals in charge of the care of premature newborns have awareness and knowledge that someone so helpless requires special care, and they must be able to interpret and know the needs of their patient.

Resumen
Awake video-assisted thoracic surgery (AVATS) today is positioned as the first option for almost all thoracic surgical procedures, since it allows combining a minimally invasive surgical strategy with advanced anesthetic management, which includes spontaneous ventilation accompanied by different anesthetic techniques (local and regional anesthesia and deep sedation), to reduce pain and postoperative complications caused by both surgical techniques and more invasive anesthetic approaches; without compromising the efficiency and the result of the procedure.

Resumen
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is one of the most performed surgeries in hospitals worldwide and pancreatitis of biliary origin is one of the most frequent causes of hospital admissions, for this reason it is of the utmost importance to determine with the Parkland Scale the transoperative difference between the laparoscopic cholecystectomy performed in patients who have presented Acute Biliary Pancreatitis. The objective of the study was to determine the usefulness of the Parkland Scale in laparoscopic cholecystectomies for acute gallstone pancreatitis. The research is of an Applied type, with a correlational, analytical, retrospective and cross-sectional scope with a quantitative approach. Patients with acute biliary pancreatitis who had undergone laparoscopic cholecystectomy were selected. Of a total of 121 patients, 81% were female, with a slight predominance between 18 and 30 years with 38%; According to the Atlanta classification, 77.7% presented mild pancreatitis; The most common Bathazar Scale was B with 43.8%; The Parkland Scale was distributed Grade 1 25.6%, Grade 2 30.6%, Grade 3 29.8%, Grade 4 9.1% and Grade 5 5%; 44% of the surgeries required resources such as aspiration drainage 50%, Surgicel 29.63%, hydrodissection 14.81%; Hospital stay was less than 7 days 5%, 8 to 15 days 33.9%, 16 to 30 days 50.4%, more than 31 days 10.7%; An association between Parkland Grade 2, Balthazar 3 and Clavien Dindo 0 is observed. It is concluded that the Parkland scale can be used in laparoscopic cholecystectomies in patients with Acute Biliary Pancreatitis.

Resumen
Preeclampsia is an important, common, and potentially serious pregnancy condition characterized by severe hypertension and proteinuria. It corresponds to one of the main causes of serious maternal mortality and morbidity. Although its prevalence is still underestimated in some places due to underreporting, pre-eclampsia is a condition that healthcare professionals must treat and address appropriately. The purpose was determine the maternal-neonatal results according to risk factors in severe pre-eclampsia associated with preterm delivery at the Guasmo Sur General Hospital during the period March 2019 to February 2020. it is a descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional study with a longitudinal design aimed at exploring 134 medical records of patients treated at the obstetric center of the General Guasmo Sur Hospital. Severe preeclampsia 34.3%, preterm delivery between 34 to 36 weeks with 6 days 50.7%. Risk factors: age <18 years 29.9% and> 35 years 17.2%; History of preeclampsia 36.6%, nulliparous 44%, multiple pregnancy 6%, diabetes 3.7% and chronic arterial hypertension 42.5%. Maternal-neonatal outcomes: maternal death 1.5%, neonatal death 6.7%; Hellp syndrome 10.4%, eclampsia 9%, ICU 14.2%, fetal weight <1500 g 12%, APGAR 3 to 4 19.4%, NICU 44.7% and hospital stay between 3 to 4 days for both the mother 58.9% and for the neonate> 5 days 64.2%. It was possible to show that risk factors associated with neonatal outcomes increase the incidence of severe pre-eclampsia. Therefore, educational interventions aimed at self-care, adequate health controls, preconception medical evaluation are required in order to reduce its incidence.

Resumen
Premature rupture of the membranes is an important cause of prematurity and short- and long-term morbidity and mortality. Prenatal care is an important issue for specialists as they try to identify and reduce complications and their fatal consequences for mothers and the newborn. The objective of the study was to determine the usefulness of biomarkers as predictors of complications of premature rupture of membranes according to risk factors. This is an analytical, retrospective, cross-sectional study of all women with a single pregnancy and PROM before 37 weeks of gestation admitted to the Alfredo G. Paulson Women's Hospital in Guayaquil, Ecuador from January 1 to December 31, 2017. 2019. The group of 20-40 years (53%) was the most common (mean: 19.46 ± 6.38), women of mestizo race (56%) with free union (44%), low schooling (51 %), nulliparous (26%), low socioeconomic status (60%) and who had between 3-5 obstetric controls (65%). Preterm delivery (81%) and postpartum infection (62%) were the most frequent complications. Statistical association was found in low socioeconomic level (p=0.0001), IVU (p=0.0001), low socioeconomic level (p=0.001), multiparity (p=0.002), age > 35 years (p=0 .01), previous PROM (p=0.001) and previous preterm birth (p=0.0001). There is a statistically significant difference between the group of pregnant women with and without complications [C-reactive protein (p=0.001), procalcitonin (p=0.001), and white blood cells (p=0.001)]. It is concluded that biomarkers such as C-reactive protein, procalcitonin and white blood cells are excellent predictors of maternal complications in women with preterm rupture of membranes.

Resumen
The adhesive systems seek as their main goal, to obtain a complete interaction with the dental structure that provides high adhesion strength, satisfactory sealing, good marginal adaptation and less microleakage of bacteria, fluids, molecules or ions between the walls of the cavity preparation and restorative material. The objective was to evaluate in vitro the degree of microleakage of composite resin restorations, using three different trademarks of self-etching adhesive systems, comparing two techniques: with selective etching in enamel and with self-etching technique, performing artificial aging at various temperatures. The sample consisted of 70 premolars divided into three groups of 20 samples plus a control group of 10 samples, the Tetric N-Bond Universal (Ivoclar), Prime & Bond Universal (Dentsply), One Coat adhesives were used 7 Universal (Coltene), applying two adhesive techniques: selective enamel etching technique and self-etching technique. The control group with the three-step total etched technique with the Optibond FL (Kerr) adhesive system. The thermocycling process was 500 cycles of 55 ° C, 37 ° C and 5 ° C and microleakage was detected by penetration of 2% Giemsa staining and observed with a stereomicroscope. Statistically there were no significant differences (p?0.05) between both adhesive techniques. A greater quantity of dental pieces was recorded without microleakage in group 1 with selective etching technique. It is concluded that the enamel selective etching technique presented minor microleakage predominantly grades 0 and 1, compared to the self-etch technique where grade 1 and 2 predominated.

Resumen
Emergency laparotomy is a high-risk procedure that is demonstrated by high morbidity and mortality. However, the problem is tremendous in settings with limited resources and limited data on patient outcome. The decision to perform and when to perform a relaparotomy for secondary peritonitis is largely subjective and based on professional experience. No existing scoring system helps in this decision process. The aim of the study is to determine the causes and risk factors for relaparotomy after emergency abdominal surgery. The main results were that the acute inflammatory abdomen (44%) was the initial cause of surgery. The most common surgical diagnosis was acute appendicitis (38%). The main cause of reintervention was intra-abdominal collection (36%). The main risk factors were age > 60 years (48%), surgery delay > 24 hours (35%), prolonged surgical time > 3 hours (31%) and mesenteric ischemia with the 11%. It is concluded that there is a significant association between surgical reintervention with age > 60 years, surgery delay > 24 hours, prolonged surgical time of > 3 hours, and ischemia. Mesenteric (p < 0,05).

Resumen
Hepatic hydatidosis caused by Echinococcus granulosus and Echinococcus multilocularis are the most common parasitic diseases that affect the liver. The course of the disease is usually slow, and patients tend to remain asymptomatic for many years. Often the diagnosis is incidental. Ultrasound is important in diagnosis. The literature was reviewed, using multiple research databases and citation tracking. Original research and review articles that examined the epidemiology, symptomatology, diagnosis, and treatment of the disease, published from 2001 to 2022, in all languages, were included. It is concluded that patients with hepatic hydatid cyst form a heterogeneous group, with poor and nonspecific semiology. Among laboratory tests, eosinophilia is a worrying sign but is present in less than half of patients. Imaging findings are the basis for diagnosis. Surgical treatment remains the "gold standard" in therapy, but minimally invasive methods with high applicability, less frequent complications, and lower hospital requirements are beginning to gain ground.
