Las quemaduras en la edad pediátrica representan un grave problema publica es una de las principales causas accidentales de morbimortalidad en la infancia. El objetivo del estudio fue determinar las repercusiones clínicas de las quemaduras en pacientes pediátricos. El estudio fue de tipo observacional, analítico de corte trasversal realizado en un Hospital pediátrico del Ecuador desde el 1 de mayo del 2013 hasta el 1 de mayo del 2017, incluye a 523 niños entre 1 y 15 años de edad. Se empleó el programa SPSS 21 para el análisis de los resultados. El 9% (48%) presentó repercusiones clínicas de importancia, como la neumonía nosocomial (100%) y los trastornos hidroelectrolíticos (71%). Se concluye que existe asociación estadísticamente significativa entre las repercusiones clínicas con la infección de las heridas (0,001), tromboflebitis infectada (p=0,042), sexo masculino (p=0,001) y la SCQ > 15% (p=0,02), quemaduras de 3o (p=0,001). Las estrategias de prevención deben abordar los peligros relacionados con las lesiones por quemaduras, la educación para las poblaciones vulnerables así como las capacitaciones en primeros auxilios.

La interleuquina 6 (IL-6) es una citoquina clave para el sistema inmunitario con funciones muy variadas., estímulos como infecciones, favorecen la síntesis de esta en células T, macrófagos, fibroblastos o incluso en células musculares, y en los pacientes con sepsis, los niveles de ‘IL-6’ pueden aumentar horas antes de que empiecen a aparecer otros síntomas; en virtud de lo expuesto se determinó la sensibilidad y especificidad de la IL6 en pacientes ingresados en la unidad de cuidados intensivos en un hospital semiprivado del Ecuador durante el 2018 diagnosticados con síndrome de respuesta inflamatoria sistémica; Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, observacional; utilizando medidas de tendencia central para establecer la asociación entre variables y el análisis estadístico fue realizado en programa SPSS versión 21. Del total de pacientes de estudio (69), predominó el sexo masculino con el 65% (45), mientras que el sexo femenino representó el 35% (24). la interleucina 6 fue un biomarcador útil para diagnosticar o excluir la bacteriana, dada su fiabilidad del 96,44%, especificidad del 95% y sensibilidad del 98,60% la determinación de la interleucina-6 es una excelente prueba para diagnosticar bacteriemia en pacientes ingresados en UCI puede aportar más información en el diagnóstico de bacteriemia en pacientes con sepsis.

La hemorragia uterina anormal es un trastorno ginecológico muy común, multicausal, puede variar de leve a potencialmente mortal si no se reconoce y trata a tiempo. Esta investigación tiene el objetivo de determinar los principales hallazgos clínicos de las hemorragias uterinas anormales observadas por ultrasonografía realizada en pacientes ingresados en un Hospital de especialidades ginecológicas en Ecuador durante el periodo del 1 de enero hasta el 31 de diciembre del 2017 Se trata de una investigación de tipo observacional, descriptiva y transversal, siendo la muestra 100 pacientes. La técnica empleada para la recolección de información fue el análisis documental, utilizando como instrumento y fuente secundaria de información a la historia clínica institucional. Este estudio demuestra que el 47 % de los pacientes tuvieron hallazgos ecográficos anormales de las cuales el 40% y 34% correspondieron al grupo etario de 20-40 años y 41-60 años respectivamente. Los hallazgos ecográficos más frecuente fue la presencia de miomas uterinos (47%). El ultrasonido es el método de primera elección en pacientes con HUA.

Esta edición especial de medicina se basa en la necesidad de expresar los cambios que se han ido produciendo en los últimos diez años sobre morbilidades prevalentes en los hospitales y centros de salud tanto público como privado en la ciudad de Guayaquil, Ecuador y que son de interés en distintas áreas especialmente por el desarrollo de nuevas investigaciones que requieren modificaciones en las modales terapéuticas y tratamiento farmacológico así como técnicas de diagnóstico de imágenes y la tendencia a favorecer los tratamientos médicos quirúrgicos sobre los tratamientos conservadores.

The objective of this thesis is to determine whether the Speak Out program influences the increase in oral expression of English in students of a private institute in Peru. The type of research is applied and its design was quasi-experimental. Expert judgment was used for the validity of the instrument and the Kuder Richardson test for reliability, which determined that there is high reliability. The “Speak Out” program is based on Chomsky's theory and on what was stated by Halliday about the communicative approach to language teaching, which were synthesized by Oxford (1990). The referrals indicated that the Speak Out Program significantly influences the increase in oral expression of English. Presenting the Kruskal-Wallis distribution that is approximated by the Chi-square distribution with 3 degrees of freedom, in this case the Chi-table value was 86.168, we obtain a probability lower than the significance level (p-value ** <0.000) so the research hypothesis is accepted.

This study aimed to determine the relationship between administrative management and the Work Climate in teachers and administrators. The research was carried out in Guayaquil -Ecuador, during the year 2016, in the educational institution "Vicente Ramón Roca". The study was processed under the quantitative method. The research was of correlational type, a descriptive - correlational design was used, the sample that was selected consisted of 24 workers. The information collection was carried out by applying an opinion questionnaire on administrative management and another questionnaire on labor climate, applied to teachers and administrators, which were validated through the respective validation matrix. Pearson's statistical tests r and the student's t were used to analyze the information, which allowed to determine the relationship between the variables and test the hypotheses. The results of the statistical analysis showed a predominance of the level of regular Administrative Management with 0.73% and a prevalence of the Labor Climate with 0.80%. They also determined that there is a significant relationship between the two variables. The degree of relationship according to the Pearson r coefficient was 547 ** indicating that the correlation is moderate, direct and significant at 0.01 level 

This study aimed to analyze and identify tourism public policies, in particular, on Peruvian lively tourism context. Content analysis technique and a primary descriptive overview were undertaken. Public policies in different contexts were revised, little information to concept and origin about lively tourism has been found, especially in scientific journals. Questions were asked to guide the research: What are the policies applied to develop tourism? What is lively tourism? and Are there policies to develop experiential in Perú? - Scopus, Google Academic and university repositories database were used to research, considering articles, thesis published during 2000 – 2020 period, research included English and Spanish keywords. Studies on public policies about tourism were found, showing efforts from governments to boost and place in a better position in the tourism sector. Lively tourism has different concepts. It is essential to have a proactive and active role to develop tourism in each country and thus new touristic approaches should be considered such as lively tourism which allow to add value to rural communities, generate employment, economic independence and intercultural exchange within tourist and communities.

The objective of this article is to make a correlation on public policies and the entrepreneurial attitude in graduate students from the district of La Victoria in the department of Lima - Peru. At the beginning, some antecedents related to the public policies applied in our country are proposed, and how these have directly and indirectly affected the entrepreneurial attitude characteristic of Peruvians. Considering the importance of entrepreneurship from the first years of Basic education if it seeks to encourage productive activities in favor of improving the economy and quality of life. It was determined that there is evidence to sustain that public policies significantly affect the entrepreneurial attitude according to students who graduated from educational institutions in the district of Victoria Lima Peru. At the end of the investigation, a Spearman Rho correlation coefficient of 0.888 is obtained, between the variables: Public policies and attitude enterprising. This degree of correlation indicates that the relationship between the variables is positive and has a high level of correlation.

At the global level we are going through a health crisis that forced all countries to take restrictive measures, which is why the government of Peru assumes the commitment to suspend face-to-face classes to take it virtually. This article aims to analyze how reflective teaching practices have been developing from the study of different approaches, concepts and innovative strategies that have become a challenge for teachers, who see the need to change how working today in schools with the limitations that arise such as the lack of initial and continuous training of teachers with respect to the use of technology, the lack of knowledge in digital competence, the importance of knowledge and application of innovative strategies for virtual reflective practice. The methodology we used in this review article was the detailed, critical and reflective search and review of more than 50 Scientific articles on the reflective practice of teaching digital competences in the main academic databases. Finally, we conclude that it depends on the disposition and desire for improvement that the teacher has to carry out an adequate reflective practice making use of technology to cope with change and the different educational scenarios in which they find themselves.

The technological revolution in the educational context is transforming the pedagogical work of teachers, leading it to a deep reflection about their training in digital skills to respond to current challenges and, especially, to the needs of students. The objective of this article is to analyze the contributions of recent publications, identifying the digital competences that teachers require to incorporate ICT (Information and Communications Technology) efficiently into pedagogical practice. To do this, a review of the literature available on the web was carried out to prepare an analysis, firstly, about the training of teachers in technology; then, it is made known about the teaching-learning process in virtual environments and finally, it is shown a theoretical making an examination of three current frameworks on digital skills for teachers. Likewise, the relevance in making know how these technologies should be applied in the classroom.
