The procedures for the diagnose was coproparasitologic assays and the number of analyzed patients was of 291. The results show a high presence of Blastocystis hominis in patients with diarreica disease resident in Gayra. A high percentage of the parasited population (62,6%) display as only causal agent of the diarreica disease to the B. Hominis, this results suggests the presence of ot her diseases that can involve an immunological commitment, the effect will be a weak immune response against the parasite.

Resumen
Starting at the end of the sixties in the last century psychology began an interesting process in which it has compromised the study and attention of problematic health-illness issues. When we immerse ourselves in the análisis of the health problems of the Cuban population, it is imposible not to think about the cardiovascular problems and especially isquemica cardiopathy. The isquemica cardiopathies cause a great physical and emotional impact on the population. After an event of this nature, a great anxiety of fear and danger is generated because the event may repeat with terminal consequences. This fear can also be transposed to the area of sexuality so that the person looses, in manycases, the sexual life they had before the event. Considering this was the motive to complete the present work with the object to determine the sexual peculiarities of 80 patients diagnosed with the illness who were being given care in the Provincial Clinical Surgical University Hospital «Camilo Cienfuegos» of Sancti Spiritus. Interviews and questionaires were used to diagnos the increase of sexual disfuncions in the patients, the reduction in the frequency of sexual relations and the increase in doubts and fears caused by the lack of proper counsuling. For all these reasons arises the need to propose a strategy of psychological intervention with the objective to give proper counseling to tose patients who have been diagnosed with Isquemica Cardiopathy so that they can find rehabilitation in their future sexual perfomance.

Resumen
The malaria is an infectious disease caused by Plasmodium parasites. Plasmodium falciparum is the responsible of the most severe form of the disease. The report of cases of malaria in Sucre (Colombia) increased of 371 in 2000 to 611 in 2004, according to data of the epidemiology department of DASSALUD; in spite of this, studies published about of causes of this increase do not exist. One of the factors related to the increase of the morbidity and mortality by malaria at world is the resistance that P. falciparum has developed towards antimalarials drugs . The resistance to pirimetamina has been related to point mutations in the gene that codifies for the Dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR), component of the biosynthetic route of folate of the parasite. The objective of the present study was to detect the presence in Sucre, of P.falciparum strain with the Asn 108 DHFR mutation, associated with in vitro pyrimethamine resistance. The investigation was carried out between October of 2002 and March of 2004. The detection of the wild genotype Ser- 108 and the mutant genotype Asn -108 was made by allele specific PCR. During the study 122 cases of falciparum malaria were reported, of which 6.6 % were native infections and 93.4% were acquired in endemic departments. Of 36 analyzed samples by PCR, 27.7 % displayed the genotype Asn -108, the rest of the samples displayed the genotype Ser -108. These results indicate that one of the main causes of the increase of registered malaria cases in Sucre, are the migrations and frequent flow of infected people, originating of endemic region. This is an important factor by the appearance of native infection and favors the introduction of P. falciparum strain with resistance to pirimetamina.

Resumen
The serious member trauma represents an important percent in the pathologies that consults the hospital’s emergency rooms. Actually the world, national and local statistics save the same proportion in presentation frequency, but on developed countries the treatment before hospitalization is done by high qualified personnel, this may obtain best results in attention and prognostic of politraumatize patients, getting a significant reduction on mortality frequency. In every serious member trauma is required a care and neat management to reduce complications which in several occasions turns really catastrophic When the serious member trauma treatment is think about, the amputation represents an option in general on those patients with associated pathologies, which contributes to a torpid evolution when a reconstruction is done.

Resumen
In the past 15 years several large scale, randomised controlled trials have revolutionised the management of patients with chronic Heart failure. Although it is clear that some drugs improve symptoms, others offer both symptomatic and prognostic benefirs, and the management of heart failure should be aimed at improving both quality of life and survival. Diuretics and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, when combined with non pharmacological measures, remain the basis of treatment in patients with congestive heart failure. Digoxin has a possible role in some of these patients, however, and the potential benefits of B blockers and spironolactone (an aldosterone antagonist) in chronic heart failure are now increasingly recognised.
