This article addresses the experiences of people deported from the United States, firstanalyzing migration to the United States, followed by the process of persecution andsubsequent expulsion to Mexico, ending with their arrival in Hermosillo to work inCall Centers. These are precarious workers due to the stigmatization that led to theirexpulsion and subsequent labor exploitation in digital service companies. The particularitiesof the current globalized services labor market take advantage of the culturaladvantages and life experiences of deportees who settled in the United States. Basedon in-depth interviews with deportees who work in call centers, the life experiencessignified by the stories that led them to migrate to the United States, the criminalizationof the migrant by US government policies, the legal process of expulsion and thedifficulties in integrating into the country in which they were born are studied.

This paper inquires about the migration phenomenon considering communicative ethnographic observations made in contexts with constant human mobility at the south of Mexico. A discursive analysis is proposed from a hermeneutical and interpretive position about narratives that place the state of Chiapas as a subjectified border, that is, as an appropriation of identities with complex communicative interactions such as code-switching or language alternation. From the above, it is assumed that geographic displacement is a perpetual phenomenon whose motivation does not always emerge from the material needs that the environment demands of its actors; rather, they are concepts deeply embedded in social cognition, shared in the same space or not.

The analysis starts from the research experience in a day laborer context with indigenousmigrants in the United States, with a qualitative approach, through one-ononeinterviews, recovering life stories, applied to ten young indigenous leaders andan older day laborer, seeking know their process of migration, settlement, current situationand what they expect from the future in the United States. It is observed thatthe majority of young indigenous migrants from Cuatecas Altas, Oaxaca, —settled inMadera County, California since their childhood— reproduce day labor; The incursionof some young people into the upper secondary and university education system isalso observed, who have a leading role in promoting ethnic and family reproduction, this under the tutelage of civil society organizations (CSOs). Network and reproductiontheories are the basis of this analysis, taking into account the language of peopleas an informative reference.

This article documents the state of Human Trafficking in Peru, specifically labor andsexual exploitation, highlighting the regions that, due to their geospatial location and/or economic dynamism, concentrate a significant migratory flow, analyzing this phenomenonbased on three dimensions: a) a theoretical-epistemological discussion ofTrafficking in Persons, in the framework of the recent CEDAW General Recommendationnumber 38 on trafficking in women and girls in the context of global migration;b) a review of the national legal framework and of the protection and empowermentsystems for citizens to live in spaces free of human trafficking; and c) the analysis offour regions selected for their economic dynamics and migratory flow: MetropolitanLima, Tacna, Tumbes and Madres de Dios. It is concluded that, in the country, withinthe framework of emerging extractive economies, the informal labor market and globalconfinement due to COVID-19, human trafficking is projected as a phenomenon ofgreater conflict given its relationship with the increase in poverty and the intensificationof social inequalities, which puts at risk the human rights of Peruvian men andwomen to live free of violence and exploitation.

This article addresses the issue of binational marriages in which the male is an American immigrant and the woman is Mexican. Through an ethnographic approach to the phenomenon, elements are provided to understand the socioeconomic and demographic composition of this type of couples. The study focused on heterogamous marriages, in which the American man is at least ten years older than the woman. It was found that in these couples, the man has a higher educational level and economic income. It is an exploratory study that seeks to understand the causes that lead to these civil unions in the marriage market. It uses a qualitative and virtual methodology to approach the phenomenon, for which it has contacted thirteen heterogamous binational couples in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico.

This paper is based on the premise that Mexico is beginning an increase in international immigration, associated with the context of the reinforcement of immigration policies in the United States. Immigration to Mexico in the last two decades is analyzed, showing the main groups that explain the changes in migratory dynamics, with particular attention to people from North Central America. The most recent immigration is also analyzed to have an approximation to the migratory process based on the characteristics of the immigrants, the motivations for emigration and the spatial distribution in Mexico. It is a quantitative analysis based mainly on the results of the Population and Housing Census in Mexico 2020 and administrative records.

The objective of this article is to analyze the provision of health services to the undocumented population, particularly Mexican, in a local context with an antagonistic immigration policy during the Trump administration. Twenty interviews were conducted with immigrants and institutional actors in Dallas County, Texas. In the case study, the Welcoming policy in the healthcare area was found in an inclusive health care model created since the 1980s. This model was useful as a basis during the worsening of federal and Texas immigration policy to implement strategic actions by health providers. The dissemination of information and education on migration issues aimed at the immigrant user population contributed to mitigating the effect of the criminalizing policy on health services.
