This study explores different variations on the theme of “memory” in Yves Bonnefoy’s poetry and translations. In his latest works, the poet bequeaths to his readers his childhood memories entrusting them with a mission with which he invests poetry: to celebrate, against oblivion, the “memory” of the experience shared with others. Moreover, memory is both the source and the process of poetic creation, as his practise as a translator also demonstrates. If the task of the translator, according to Bonnefoy, coincides with a search, an exploration of the depths of the sea that is every language, in order to bring forth from the dark the light of a restorative word, then, by translating the verses of other poets, Bonnefoy relives the experience of poetry through a new poetic act, recalling each time the intuition and the emotion.

Introduction: Video recording tasks have been adapted to practice oral productive skills in English language. This type of assignments has allowed learners to have more opportunities to develop their speaking skills while they are learning English. Productive language skills like speaking are as important as the other skills since it helps to communicate ideas in different contexts. Objective: This study was designed to get students point of views about the use of video-recorded tasks as language practice complement. Methodology: College students from level A1 and A2 complete five tasks during the academic period October 2021 – March 2022. There were 74 participants in this study. At the end of the academic period, the students responded a questionnaire which aimed to get information about in their perceptions of creating video-tasks instead of written assignments. Results: The results of the survey demonstrated that there is a positive attitude towards the use of this strategy. Conclusions: Participants concluded that video recordings helped them to practice more pronunciation and improved their vocabulary.

Introduction. In Ecuador, the dairy industry at a general level represents 6.1% of the activity in agriculture and livestock in the country. Regarding the consumption of fresh unprocessed milk, it is observed that around 43.4% of production is destined for final consumption, the remaining 56% for intermediate consumption, within which the production of dairy products stands out (89% of the total consumed). Objectives. Develop the mathematical modeling of the thermal milk storage tanks of the Tunshi Experimental Station of the Polytechnic Higher School of Chimborazo in the control of the outlet temperature in the cooling and heating process. Methodology. The determination of the initial temperature of entry of the fluid to the collection center was made with a value of 19.6 °C and 8 °C for refrigeration, the heating temperature was established up to 80 °C, the process was modeled Based on the energy balance and the simulation using the Matlab program (Simulink), worked with the 875-liter capacity of a vertical-type tank in a total time of 4800 seconds. Results. For the validation, three different behaviors of curves were determined both for the energy balance of the thermal tank, its transfer function in heating the milk and the behavior of both reception, cooling and heating up to a temperature of 80 °C. Conclusion. The behavior of the curves was evidenced and verified experimentally, validating the established modeling of the two different processes.

Introduction: In a social context, in which immediate actions are demanded from higher education that contribute to improving the living conditions of the population, but with an academy that barely responds to the needs of the population, intentionally isolating itself from reality, it is necessary make a substantial effort to evaluate the relationship between higher education and the demands of the labor market, trying to decipher in this way what has been the contribution of ESPOCH, as an institution of higher education, to productive development in an environment that, due to its sociopolitical situation, is highly conflictive. Objective: Determine the degree of participation in business by higher education graduates, to promote economic advancement, with the implementation of new ventures. Methodology: For this, research with a qualitative, descriptive, and correlational approach was proposed, an open survey was applied, via online, to which 89 graduates from seven faculties responded, the instrument was validated with Crombach's Alpha. Results: The data obtained was correlated using the Chi square statistic, based on several indicators, such as gender, the faculty of origin of the graduates, the time of graduation, the time of existence of the business, the affinity of the business with the career, the way in which the entrepreneurship was carried out, the support of the professional title and the generation of employment. Discussion: In general, it was possible to establish that there is no statistically significant correlation between aspects related to academic training and the labor market. Conclusion: It was also concluded that evaluation of graduates is conducted in compliance with a formalism and that a real commitment is required from the academy with its graduates to promote a productive development process in which real synergies are generated between the most emerging needs of the population and the educational scope of higher education.

A method is proposed using Recurrent Neural Networks for the prediction of chaotic data, applying Chaos Theory, to study the dynamic behavior of the data in the multidimensional space of the phases, establish the correlation of the same and determine the embedding dimensions as a basis for the training of the neural networks, as well as determine the dynamic characteristics of the system by calculating the Lyapunov coefficients and the Kolmorov-Siani entropy,  that tell us the degree of disorder that the system has, to project the accuracy of the prediction. Data on PM2.5 pollutants taken in the Historic Center of the city of Quito, at one-hour intervals, between the years 2005 to 2019, are used. The results determine that the data series correspond to a chaotic system (more than one positive Lyapunov coefficient), so the application of Chaos Theory in the analysis of them is justified, giving good results in the predictions applying the methods of recurrent neural networks of Elman and Jordan, when comparing the predicted series they are shown that they do not present significant differences between them,   nor with the measured data, using the method of variance with 0.05 significance, the percentage square error with respect to the range of variation of the data is approximately 5% in both cases. Objectives: To propose a method that helps the training of neural networks using Chaos Theory, by implementing the socket dimension in the space of the phases.

Introduction. Due to the global pandemic situation that is going through, it is considered to apply gamification as a learning process in virtual environments, since the game is introduced in the educational field, which is why the work game is the methodology that is used in early ages to achieve significant experiences and at the same time improve teaching practice, as an Objective. of this research is to implement gamification for the development of motivation to learn in virtual environments of children at the preparatory level of the "Salcedo" Educational Unit. Methodology. In this virtue, the research is based on the quantitative modality, with a descriptive and explanatory scope, starting from the analysis of data collected to explain the characteristics and properties of the study group. The method to be used is at the theoretical level: analysis and synthesis, hypothetical deductive and at the empirical level: direct observation (zoom) of five-year-old children and online survey of their representatives. Results As results, the reliability of the instrument was obtained with a Cronbach's alpha of .810, and in the normality evaluate a value of 0.00, which rejects the null hypothesis and accepts the alternate hypothesis in a highly significant way. Conclusions It can be concluded that the application of gamification if I motivate the student to have a significant learning in a reduced time.
