Resumen
Aortic aneurysm, regardless of its location, is an emergency situation in which a rapid uptake of the pathology and a prompt decision on treatment are needed. Therefore, a correct interpretation of signs and symptoms as well as imaging studies is necessary, which will be addressed in this article with the necessary generalities to be able to act on time, a review will be made of how to properly interpret the pathology in different imaging studies and the population at risk will be briefly explained.
Thoracic pathology will be addressed, this due to the difference in number of studies when compared with abdominal aneurysm.
Although it is true it is not the most common pathology, as will be discussed, if it is statistically important to know the number of cases that occur in a primary health service since mortality will depend on the approach that is carried out and the time on which decisions are made.

Community-acquired pneumonia and cardiovascular diseases are two entities that represent a high global mortality, and that can act synergistically to hinder the evolution of hospitalized patients. We present the case of a patient with multiple cardiovascular risk factors admitted for a diagnosis of community-acquired pneumonia, complicated by an acute myocardial infarction without ST elevation with atypical symptoms.

Resumen
Because of COVID-19 pandemic and the mandatory use of respiratory protection masks, a business oportunity arose for industries and entrepreneurs in the manufacture and sales field. Based on this is assumed that there have been on the market, masks that have not been made in optimal quality conditions and according to standars; offering a false respiratory protection to citizens, which increases the risks of spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus. Besides a erroneus labeling refered to the number of layers, pore size and protection after washing cycles has been evidenced.
The generation of scientific support is necessary to corroborate the aspects mentioned above, because of the public health impact it has, therefore scanning electron microscopy technique has been used to characterized the layers, pore size and morfology before and after washing cycles supporting the hypothesis and demonstrating non compliance in some case with the minimal quality requirements to assure real protection against the virus. This provide a background for future actions in case of COVID-19 outbreak or posible protection against other viruses.

Resumen
An investigation was carried out whose purpose was to determine the characterization of dog bite accidents (Canis lupus familiaris Linnaeus, 1758). 624 cases were collected through the datasheets of the MINSA (Ministry of Health) of Peru from 2016 to 2019, from the zoonosis and veterinary center of Lurigancho-Chosica, Peru. Physical fi les established by MINSA for data collection for dog bites were analyzed. Once the data was obtained, the information from the surveys was processed in the Microsoft Offi ce Professional 2019 program (Microsoft Excel) and IBM SPSS Statistics. Th e results of the analysis show an annual incidence rate of 259.12 people bitten per 100,000 inhabitants, in addition to the fact that the year with the highest frequency of bites was 2016 (28.2%); Likewise, it was shown that the months with the highest frequency of dog bite cases were in January (12.7%), February (11.2%), August (11.1%) and July (9.3%). The most aff ected age group was 30-59 years (34.9), the most aff ected age group were adults (30-59), also the vaccination status of the dogs is worrying because more than 50% are not vaccinated against rabies; Finally, with regard to the breed of dogs most predisposed to cause dog bites, it was the mestizo. It is concluded that the frequency of dog bites is decreasing each year and that there is a greater presentation of dog bites in the months of January, February, August, and July, being the male gender the most aff ected.

Resumen
Aging is a process that occurs throughout the life cycle, from conception to death, in a continuous, irreversible and heterogeneous manner, directing our approach to aging as an achievement rather than a problem, because it is not only treated of a matter of security and individual well-being, but also a matter of development and bond well-being. The purpose of this work was to determine the family functionality and self-esteem in older people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus treated at a private medical center in the city of Portoviejo. A non-experimental investigation of a descriptive cross-sectional design was carried out in a population of 66 elderly people who underwent a sociodemographic survey applying the Family Assessment Scale (Apgar Family) and the Coopersmith Self-esteem Inventory. The result of this work has yielded relevant data, with a predominance of the age group of 67 years as the most frequent with a mean age of 74 years, and a standard deviation of 7.1. Especially the female sex, the single-parent family typology was present in 54.5%. The functional family predominated in 51.5% in all cases, followed by the mild dysfunctional family with 37.9% who perceived their family as functional, for 10.6%. Most of the older people have a medium self-esteem level, equivalent to 57.6%, followed by 31.8% for high self-esteem and 10.6% for low self-esteem. A highly significant correlation of p=0.005 was established between the variables family functionality and self-esteem. Concluding that family functionality is related to the level of self-esteem of older people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, which reflects the importance of good family dynamics as the most important social support, generator of affective bonds and healthier behaviors in the home. control of comorbidities, guaranteeing the exercise of inalienable rights and respect for human dignity.

Resumen
Communication is a significant process in the community. Through this reciprocity of emotions, feelings or any information, we know -among other things- insufficiencies, joys and restlessness. However, it is not always the same at all ages, since, as we get older, our ability to communicate in certain cases is limited. This article emphasizes a bibliographic review related to communication and the types of families of older adults; as well as an approach on contributions and advances of the subject in the Ecuadorian social context. Therefore, the question was raised: How to systematize the main knowledge about the state of communication in the family context of Ecuadorian older adults? Correspondingly, the main objective is to develop a systematization of research and publications about the state of communication in the family context of Ecuadorian older adults. Said review has been taken in reference to the period of the last decade in databases of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) methodology.
