Resumen
Introduction: child maltreatment is a common psychological problem of children and adolescents around the world. Presence of various form of abuse can lead to other psychological and physical problems, so, it is necessary to identify which form of abuse is more likely to affect men and women. Objective: to analyze the differences observed in child maltreatment according to sex in Peruvian adolescents.Method: a cross-sectional, and quantitative and comparative approach study was carried out in the months of July and August 2022. A convenience sample of 1.376 adolescents who responded to a self-report on child abuse was analyzed. To compare both groups (men and women), the Mann-Whitney U-test for Bayesian independent samples was used. Results: among the various forms of child maltreatment, only was found in favor and with high evidence as alternative hypothesis, the emotional maltreatment (BF10=190.38; δ=0.31; 95 % CI: 0.20-0.48). This difference was higher in females (M=8.28) compared to males (M=7.09). In emotional and physical neglect, strong evidence was reported for the null hypothesis. Robust Bayes factor analysis confirmed the same results. Conclusions: emotional maltreatment occurs mostly in adolescent females, being the gender that requires more psychological support. In the other forms of maltreatment, no differences were found in correspondence with gender. Consequently, health professionals should consider the role of gender in emotional maltreatment, but should not neglect the other forms of child maltreatment, emphasizing the specific particularities of each case.

Correspondence between scheduled time and the number of items used in the test was assessed, and also, difficulty index and discrimination index for items and questions, point-biserial item discrimination coefficient and internal consistency coefficient were calculated. Results: there was an adequate correspondence between the time scheduled for the topics and the number of items used in the exam. Items with a moderate difficulty index and high degree of discrimination index predominated. The internal consistency of the individual questions was excellent, but the exam in general was low. Conclusions: the quality of the partial exam of the in-house course Morphofunctional bases of the main hemorrhagic diathesis treated in Stomatology, giving in the Facultad de Estomatología, Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Santiago de Cuba, course 2022, was inadequate.

Resumen
The Putumayo Atrocities (murder, torture, Slavery of indigenous rubber workers) committed by the British registered Peruvian Amazon Company are well known. The official response of the British Government was that there was no direct British involvement; they were an aberration. There is though much evidence that during the early years of the 20th century, other British rubber companies in the Amazon Basin used the enganche por deudas bonded labour system. This article, adopting a granular approach, examines the activities of one British company, the Tambopata Rubber Syndicate, concentrating on its barracas at San Carlos and Marte, between 1907 and 1913. Using unpublished sources (diaries, correspondence and company records) it reveals direct British involvement in slavery. It details ill-treatment of indigenous workers and demonstrates the human consequences of rubber exploitation.

Resumen
This essay analyzes the process of pacification and evangelization of the indigenous population settled in the area that, since the second half of the 16th century, would be known as “provincia de los coanos”, a territory located between the confluences of the current states of Jalisco and Nayarit, in western Mexico. With information from archive sources from the 16th century, the text highlights the indigenous resistance to hispanic colonization and the vicissitudes that the first authorities of Nueva Galicia had to achieve the definitive pacification of this significant enclave that during the viceroyalty served as a important mining region.

Resumen
This text offers a preliminary approach to the photographic production with which the United Nations and its specialized agencies documented their technical assistance programs in Latin America during the postwar decades. The analyzed material comes mostly from reporting missions organized from the headquarters of entities such as Unesco, WHO, or FAO, and deployed on a global scale as part of ambitious public information campaigns that sought to give legitimacy to the multilateral development model promoted by the UN. The result of these missions was the consolidation of large visual archives, the contents of which circulated actively in various formats such as magazines, traveling exhibitions, albums, and official reports. Both the production and the massive distribution of these images are understood in the text as elements of the same photographic project in which the different agencies agreed from their particular organization charts, and which seeks to thematize aspects such as its historical background, its operational dynamics, the humanitarian rhetoric about the Americas that predominated in the collections, among others. The writing stems from an ongoing investigation that aims to reflect on the way in which certain visual languages – typical of mass culture – contributed to conceptualizing a disputed notion such as development in a geographical space still neglected by literature as it is Latin American. The recorded annotations are based on a methodological triangulation between the official resolutions of the analyzed agencies and the partial observations of a photographic database still in the process of elaboration.
