Resumen
The present study refers to operational risk management in customs companies, based on the research question: How does operational risk management influence Ecuadorian customs companies that carry out commercial operations in the province of Manabí? to consequently determine the influence of operational risk management in customs companies that carry out commercial operations in the province of Manabí, as a research objective, requiring for this purpose the theoretical foundation of operational risk management in customs companies, as well as the process flowchart of operational risk management that is applied in this type of companies. A methodology with a quantitative, descriptive and explanatory approach was applied through the application of the survey technique with a Likert scale to 5 customs warehouses located in the seaport of Manta, taken from the intentional sampling at the authors' discretion. The results obtained were 100% of customs companies in the form of an anonymous company that provide immediate service; and in terms of the 7 components evaluated, the legal framework, processes, information, infrastructure, information systems and/or applications, human capital and government endorsement were rated as regularly true. The conclusion is that the operational risk management carried out by the customs companies of the port of Manta is regular and requires immediate corrective and consequently strategic actions to be able to operate effectively in a demanding and demanding market such as imports and exports.

Resumen
According to the importance of the technology in the education apply inside and outside of class, this research focused the study in to analyze the application and benefits of virtual learning objects (VLO) in students of Pajan High School using a multiple component model that incorporates technical, motivational and, above all, learning-based characteristics. In general, more than 70% of the student population stated that they benefited from the use of virtual learning objects. The teachers framed the importance of applying these tools or objects in the field of disciplines when considering the broad benefits that OVAs have on the academic performance of students. The students showed full comfort during the work sessions or virtual classes with the computers, the learning object had a well-organized design, the instructions were clear and the topic was fun or motivating as well as the contents. Students appreciated the motivating, practical, and visual qualities of learning. Although the research is aimed at students in terms of academic performance, it is evident that teachers are widely favored with the application of technological resources by having motivated students in virtual classrooms with a great interest in learning.

Resumen
The objective of this article is to offer a theoretical reflection on the predominant role of the socially connected function that supports third level training. To achieve this, a conceptual approach is proposed. From there, it is proposed that qualified information contributes to the sustainability of the productive sector and economic growth. This analysis establishes the need for higher education centers to continue supporting vulnerable sectors through training, workshops, and support centers so that they articulate sustainability strategies for the different productive sectors in order to improve the quality of life, generate of jobs, and therefore that there is an economic development in the Pedernales Canton and its surroundings. The research design is analytical, descriptive, and qualitative-quantitative of a non-experimental type. As a conclusion, it is required that the State finance through public organisms entrepreneurial projects that are sustainable and sustainable with the technical accompaniment of the University.

Resumen
This research studies the use of the Software "Leo con Grin" as a tool for learning literacy, in the students of the Educational Unit "10 de Agosto". The objective was to design a didactic strategy based on the software to improve the learning of reading and writing, in the students of the third year of basic education of the Educational Unit. A survey was carried out through a Google forms form, which was applied to 20 teachers who make up the total population of the portal, which is why they were all taken as a sample, the methodology used was with a mixed approach. The implementation of the "Leo con Grin" software is proposed since this digital tool is of great help to students, because through the game the student is encouraged to better learn, and teachers have an important mission, and this is to teach, through didactic strategies that allow the student to want to learn more every day.

Resumen
The main objective of this research was to identify the use of ICT as learning tools for reading in students of the third year of basic education of the “Agustín Ocampo Santander” Educational Unit. It was taken into consideration how the use of digital tools helped in the literacy process in the third grade students of the educational unit, resulting in the majority of teachers indicating that the use of ICT can be considered as a didactic resource for teaching literacy. In this research, the fundamental empirical method was used, through observation it allowed to define the use of ICT in learning by students with a quantitative approach, a Google Forms form was implemented to carry out the survey to the 15 teachers. which were all taken as a sample, the main results achieved are adjusted to the systematization of criteria and elements of a theoretical nature, as well as the proper information that responds to the research process, where the advances in learning in the literacy of the students are expressed.

Resumen
The present investigative work was developed in the Los Arenales site of the Crucita parish, of the Portoviejo canton, province of Manabí, Ecuador, its main objective was to evaluate the incidence of the productivity of Los Arenales Seafood Retail Merchants, the descriptive methodology was applied and exploratory, with the purpose of investigating in depth the object of study. The research techniques that were used were the survey that was directed to the collaborators and the interview with the manager in the association, obtaining a better appreciation of the object of study. As results, it is evident that the association has a high level of efficiency, however, the environment in which it is found prevents them from developing their service capabilities to the public in the best way. In conclusion, the level of productivity regarding salary and labor productivity is moderate.

Resumen
The current transformations have caused that within education new strategies are needed to motivate the interest in the formation of students at a very early age, and thus obtain quality learning. In this sense, the purpose of this research is to promote the teaching and learning process through the application of educational technologies. The main objective is to analyze the use of Digital Educational Resources (RED) as pedagogical tools in the teaching-learning process at the Carlos Julio Arosemena Tola Educational Unit (UE) through a field and bibliographic research. The study is a mixed study based on a descriptive quantitative approach with a field design. The sample consisted of 249 students and 9 teachers of the institution, to whom the survey and observation technique was applied by means of a questionnaire and an observation guide. In addition, a bibliographic review was made through content analysis. The results showed that teachers do not use RED in the teaching and learning process, nor in the planning of academic activities and do not encourage students in the use of digital tools. The students considered that educational technologies can have a positive impact on the educational process. It was concluded that in the institution the knowledge, application and diffusion of the RED is not adequate, and that there are no pedagogical strategies to stimulate and motivate their use, wasting the benefits that they provide for quality learning.

DIGITAL TEACHING SKILLS IN THE LEARNING OF SOCIAL SCIENCES OF UNIFIED GENERAL BACCALAUREATE STUDENTS

Resumen
The objective of the research was to determine the incidence of Digital Teaching Competences in the learning of Social Sciences of the students of the General Unified High School of the General Eloy Alfaro Delgado Fiscal Educational Unit of the Durán canton, province of Guayas, Ecuador. It was based on the critical reflective paradigm because it leads to analysis and reflection on the different processes applied for the construction of knowledge as a social construct. A mixed descriptive approach with a field design was used. The sample consisted of 203 students and five teachers. The survey technique, observation and documentary review were used; the instruments included a questionnaire applied to the students, an observation guide made to the high school teachers and the content analysis from the bibliographic review of the specialized literature. According to the results, the information dimension was the most valued and the deficient ones were communication and problem solving. It was concluded that the Digital Teaching Competences have current references that indicate their preponderance in the teaching and learning process. The best rated dimension in the always option was information, with 53%, followed by content creation with 20%. In the sometimes alternative, all dimensions had excellent percentages, with safety standing out with 66% and the dimensions of communication and problem solving with 60% each, although they were also the ones with the lowest performance with 40%.

Resumen
In Ecuador, both insurance, companies and brokers are authorized to offer insurance services to individuals and legal entities to protect them against possible risks to their material assets in exchange for a monetary quota established on a monthly or annual basis, as the case may be. This research focused on analyzing the competitive advantages between the services offered by insurance companies and insurance brokers located in the city of Portoviejo, using a quantitative, descriptive and explanatory approach as a methodology to substantiate the competitive advantages of the insurance offer of both parties. The analytical method for the discussion of the results obtained was the application of a survey to 1 company and 10 brokers operating in the city of Portoviejo, considering a non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The results showed that 13% of the brokers had greater competitive advantages than the insurance companies, and 5% fewer disadvantages than the insurance companies; the experience in the market of both companies is between 16 and 20 years, and in the case of the company, more than 20 years; the services are the same with the difference in the strategy implemented by one and the other. It is concluded that although the brokers employ better strategies, greater competitive advantages can be achieved when the efforts are unified and work with a common purpose, providing a better service to society.

Resumen
The quality of service is not a simple term or exclusive of a sector of production or field of knowledge, but is present in all areas in which the human factor performs functions, thus, the present work aimed to determine the perception of quality that customers have about the service offered by clinical reference laboratories in the city of Portoviejo, whose methodology included a quantitative approach, a descriptive and explanatory non-experimental design, the use of a 22-question questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale, and based on the model for evaluating the perception of service quality proposed by Cronin and Taylor, called SERVice PERFormance, which was applied to a sample of 211 clients of the laboratory for 6 weeks. The results showed a very high perception of service quality by the laboratory's customers in all 5 dimensions, tangible elements, reliability, responsiveness, security and empathy. It is concluded in the very high quality of service perceived by most of the users, consisting of a strength, but also a great responsibility to maintain the quality of service, which suggests the permanent control of quality based on a process of continuous improvement, in line with international standards governing the laboratory company.
