Resumen
Measurement and mathematical treatment of data are recent phenomena, to which human beings are not evolutionary programmed; this partly explains that many researchers, including those of science of men find the basic statistical notions difficult as well as the rejection to the quantitative analysis and the abundance of inadequate interpretations of statistical results. From the case of Gini index and of several coefficient of correlation, the article exhibits the deficiency of simplified recipes for the appropriate interpretation of these measures. The need of a sufficient comprehension of the mathematical properties of measures in order to be able to interpret them correctly is displayed and a minimum of familiarity with an ample scale of results of the application of a measure is emphasised as a vital condition for the appropriate use of it.

Asimismo establece las consecuencias sociales. psicológicas y morales que la confesión provocó en la conformación individual de los indígenas.

From a characterisation of the manierist period of the occidental history (between 1520 and 1620); Arnold Hauser defined it as the crisis of the European conscience that arose after and as a consequence of the Renascence, the figure of Teresa of Jesus is chosen in order to analyse how the difficult existential situation for the men and women of Europe of that time was lived and saved by her.

Resumen
This article examines the main characteristics of journal photography from the theories of discourse that makes possible its analysis as well as the definition of its place and value in the contemporary press. It discusses that photography in the communicative context acquires a representative and communication capacity from the confluence that emerges from its character of multinodal text, in which the following problems are interwoven: objectivity and appealing to realism, individuality against the occidental aesthetic tradition, the need of printing information, its social use and its symbolic power associated to the possibility of expressing a potential ideological discourse.

Resumen
This article informs about the moral development of the students of junior and senior high school of the State of Aguascalientes. The evaluation was accomplished by applying the Defining Issues Test of James Rest, test based on L. Kohlberg's theory. The profiles of moral development and the index of moral reasoning of principies related to personal, scholar, and geographic variables are analysed. It is mainly concluded that the students of junior and senior high school have a similar development on moral reasoning with pre-eminence of the 4 stage.

This article presents sorne partial results of the research: "Theproduction of news in Aguascalientes: how everyday journalism is built".Through an empirical approach to the journalistic practice developedby a newspaper of a Mexican city (case study). the author describesand analyses the new production process from the postulates of thetheoretical perspective called Sociology of journalism. The study wasintegrated having as basis a qualitative methodology using theparticipating observation and the profound interview techniques.The intention is to discover what type of social practices are developedby the actors of news construction in Aguascalientes in arder to facetheir socially legitimised chore of habitual narration of the everydayhappening.The relevance of characterising the routines of news construction isthat these routines articulate procedures and activities that synthesisestructures of socialisation and interpretation of the reality throughwhich local journalists build informative reports about the environment.

Resumen
The purpose of this research was to establish the situation of thesocial-economical development of the central-northern region ofMexico (integrated by the states of Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Jalisco,San Luís Potosí and Zacatecas) in the period of 1985-1997 by calculatingthe Social-economic Development Index that is integated by fourcomponents that identify: the productive capacity of economy(progress); the grade of comfort reached by the everyday life ofíndividuals (moderníty); the grade of satisfaction of basic needs(welfare); and the integrating conditions of social relations (socialcohesion).lt was found that Jalisco was the entity'with the highest index and bestperformance; even though the distánce wíth the second regional place,Aguascalientes. was highly reduced. However. it was observed that aconsiderable distance existed between the level of these two entitiesand the indexes of the three remaining ones that form the region, sothat this inequality is a clear reflection of the social-economicaldevelopment differences that are presented at national levl.

Resumen
In this article the confrontation between national history and regionalhistory in our country is analysed. Some characteristics andínterrelatíons of both ways of doing hystory-graphy are pointed out aswell as the progressíve consolídation of the local historie studies fromthe Mexican Revolution.However, it is during the nineties when the regional history-graphy isconsolidated and the two ways of doing history is understood ascomplementary perspectives not as opposing to each others. At theend a spurious. superficial. homogeneous, cynic, and generalising history-graphy is rejected, and a need to create in Mexico a plural, critical well sustained, collecive, and independent from polítical power is postulated.
