The population and the economic activities in a region are attracted to the metropolitan areas, inducing travel needs. This research analyzes the characteristics and spatial distribution of the mandatory and optional trips by transport means, using an Origin Destination Survey for the classic transport model. The results show that the bus is used for school mobility, while the car is mostly used for shopping and work; and that the centrality level of residence is directly related to the job centrality.

Sea level rise has been accelerated due to global warming. The most threatened areas are small islands and coastal plains. Tabasco is located in a coastal flood plain. Using demographic information, coastal erosion values and global sea level elevation data, the area and localities up to one meter above sea level (MASL) were identified. The results indicate that 55.58% of the state surface is within this range. In addition, the potential loss of territory could affect 76 localities, transforming the possible productive activities carried out.

Developing emotional vocabulary improves many areas of emotional well-being, aids in the construction of reality, and ensures better environmental adaption. Because of its importance, this study uses an instrument to generate emotional labels with the purpose of investigating differences in emotional vocabulary by gender and educational stage. The overall sample size was 1.244 with primary, secondary, and university degrees included. The IBM SPSS 27 software was used to perform descriptive statistics and mean comparison (ANOVA). The results indicate a misunderstanding of the idea of emotion, with joy and sadness being the most reported feelings.

This work aims to explore the discourse of students from 6 to 8 years of age when they reflect on the dynamics of education used by their parents. To do this, we start from the theory of self-determination and reflect on the practices of support for autonomy and parental control present in the discourse of minors. In this sense, we found that the students' discourse revolves mainly around parental practices that support autonomy, such as the possibility of choosing leisure activities, communicating problems and concerns to parents, and the autonomous performance of some tasks by minors. However, there is also evidence that autonomy support practices converge with others related to parental control in certain situations.

The study aims to evaluate the direct and indirect effects of academic motivation and emotional intelligence on academic engagement. It is a quantitative and predictive research composed of 416 Peruvian students through structural equation analysis (SEM), who answered three instruments to evaluate the variables. The results refer significant effects of emotional intelligence and motivation on school engagement, simultaneously emotional intelligence predicted motivation with optimal SEM goodnessof- fit indices. Additionally, a multigroup SEM analysis was performed to determine the structural invariance of the predictive model as a function of sex and age. We conclude the mediating role of academic motivation between emotional intelligence and academic engagement, which is important for better academic performance and achievement. The mediating model was equivalent between females and males, as well as between younger and older adolescents.

Emotional intelligence (EI) and resilient coping (RC) have shown positive links with occupational commitment (OC). Considering the lack of research in this area, the present study examines the role of RC as a mediator and moderator in the relationship between EI and OC in a sample of 338 pre-service teachers (58.9% female; Mage= 26.85, SD= 5.66). Results showed that RC mediated (B= .20; CI= .02, .37), but did not moderate this relationship (B= -.01; CI= -.31, .29). Implications for the design of strategies for promoting positive work attitudes in teacher professional development are discussed.

In order to analyze the influence of migrant status and other individual, family, institutional and teacher qualification factors on student performance, SIMCE math test result of 80,751 8th grade (primary) students from the Metropolitan Region (Chile) were analyzed. Hierarchical multiple linear regression revealed the existence of four types of students (in order of performance: new generation, 2nd generation, native and 1st generation) and that the migrant status is related to performance, being one of the most important variables.

Teachers, in their teaching practice, link the use of ICT with their pedagogical beliefs, although this connection needs further study. For this reason, the aim of this paper is to determine the structural relationship between the use of ICT and the pedagogical beliefs of teachers, since both constructs contribute to ICT integration. A quantitative research design of correlational type and a sample of 1002 teachers of Primary Education and Secondary Education were used. The results show the positive relationship of the use of technological resources with the constructivist conception, while in the traditional conception the results are reversed. Similarly, they point to the existence of three groups. Therefore, teacher training in the constructivist conception is necessary.

Adolescence is a stage of constant connection to the Internet where families, in their socialising function, intervene by means of control strategies to help prevent risks. This study aims to find out their perception of the risks posed by the Internet and the parental control models they use, carrying out a qualitative study using discussion group techniques and interviews. Families consider addiction, loss of values, lack of critical thinking and bullying as the main virtual risks and preferably use controls related to punishments and control of connection time to prevent them.
