The adaptationand validation of two questionnaires -teacher and parents rating scales- that asses maladaptative behaviors in 1st grade children is described. A sample of 595 children attending seven schools of Santiago was used. The statistical analysis showed acceptable levels of internal consistency for both instruments and a factorial structure for the teacher's scale discriminating different behavioral areas. Finaly standarized norms, separately for males females, were obtained.

Resumen
Currently, most of the Professional Technical High Schools do not have student selection processes. Only some carry out an admission process. In general, the selection processes and instruments have not been evaluated, so there is no data on the results of these procedures and instruments.
The minimum requirement for an admission process, in terms of procedures and instruments, is a moderate ability to predict performance in the following year of study in Vocational Technical Education.
The student selection procedure could consider aspects such as: (a) demographic variables (educational level of the parents); (b) previous academic performance (average grades); (c) personal variables (aptitudes, interests and personality).

Resumen
On the assumption of the existence of a series of sequential steps as part of the empathic response production process, the present study tried to obtain information about the possible relationship between said steps.
With the use of an "ex-post-facto" type design, and from the comparison of two groups with different levels of empathic acuity, the degree of consistency in the performance before each of these steps was examined.
It is concluded that although a medium or high performance in the steps considered as previous, the response does not ensure obtaining high levels of Empathic Acuity, however these same levels are necessary for the successful achievement of the terminal response.

Resumen
The field of social development is in a process of change. A fundamental factor is the modernization of the State. However, modernization in this area has a last name. On the one hand, from the legal point of view, laws and decrees are articulated that give importance to regional development and local development. On the other hand, we speak here of decentralization. These processes generally point to an extension of democracy, which means an increase in power in decision-making and in the implementation of projects from the point of view of the participants themselves. Overcoming poverty as a priority initiative today goes beyond these processes and becomes an area of updating, as it is no longer defined as a lack but rather based on an association with the theme of development. These issues become necessary study objects for Community Psychology, particularly from the perspective of intervention.

Resumen
The study of the anatomical bases of memory constitutes a central and fundamental aspect for neurosciences. At present, memory processes are conceived as a function of the activity of the brain as a whole. However, this does not mean that memory is considered a unitary and indivisible entity. Depending on the temporal characteristics and the stored content, various memory subsystems have been described. Each one of them would be represented by different neural structures, which in turn interact with each other, allowing the integral functioning of the system.
