Resumen
This paper deals with the genesis of Teresa, an important Spanish novel of the XXth century that is not as estimated and well known as it should have been. Rosa Chacel is a writer that belongs to the generation of 1927, though she is not usually recognized as such by academic instituions. She never adopted an explicit feminist tenet, but she studied this trend in her essay Saturnal, and her novel Teresa manifests this particular point of view.

Resumen
An outbreak of Amaranthus quitensis poisoning in beef cattle is described. Forty seven yearlings, heifers and adult cows out of 105, died after several days of weakness, haemorrhagic diarrhea and ascitis. The cattle became recumbent and died. At necropsy, perirenal edema and toxic tubular nephrosis were seen. Pertinent clinical laboratory findings included incresed urea nitrogen and creatinin content. The confirmation of the toxicity of Amaranthus quitensis was done by a calf-feeding trial. The serum levels of urea, creatinin, calcium and Gamma GT were also studied in this trial. The possibility of a nephrotoxin in the plant as the cause of poisoning is discussed.

In turn, this consists, fundamentally, of managing the animals in such a way that they can convert the forage into animal product with the minimum of losses.

Resumen
A PMSG antiserum was produced in an ovariectomized ewe by giving three monthly injections of 5000 I.U. of PMSG in complete Freund's adjuvant. It was tested by bioassay in mice and rats, evaluating the blockade capacity against PMSG ovariotrophic effect. The antiserum blockades completely the effect of PMSG, being effective the lowest doses used (11 of antiserum by each I.U. of PMSG).
