Resumen
Tranhepatic 4-tubes are transhepatic drainages passing through bilio-digestive anastomosis from jejunum to Witzel.Since both ends of tube are exterior it is possible to change them when they become obstructed or hardened, without re-operating patient. They are specially suitable for treatment of high biliary cancers in which recurrency and stricture following anastomosis, are· frequent. These patients are definitively intubated and drainages are changed every three to four months by painJess manouvres. 4-tubes are also absolutely indicated in treatment of sclerosing cholangitis, but not in bening stricture of biliary tract which are generally solved by Jeft transhepatic I'-tubes.

Resumen
By reason of an extensive scapula resection, due to a metastasis of a kidney's cancer, the authors report the techniques of the scapula resections. By means of an incision that separa tes cutaneous nervous territories, opening the triangular covering formed by the deltoid muscles in the outside, the trapezius in the inside and upper parts and the latissimus dorsi downwards.Sectioning the rhomboideus and the (angular), the scapular unit is moved as a fan with an extern handle in the humerus upper end. Afterwards the scapular muscles are sectioned to allow the extirpation of the scapula. In the total resection, the humerus is fixed to the. clavicle, the covering muscles and the skin aresutured leaving a drainage. In the resections that keep the (glena) untouched, the functional recuperation is very good.

Resumen
A case that we think presents a double interest is reported. On one hand, the presentation of a spontaneous gastrocutaneous fistula, an extremely rare case. On the other, the need of the clinic's severe watch, in the correction of any metabolic disturb, the lack of wich could carry fatal consequences to the patient's evolution.

Relaciones económicas entre América Latina y Estados Unidos : comentarios al trabajo de Aníbal Pinto
Sunkel, Osvaldo
Universidad de Chile. Instituto de Estudios Internacionales
Resumen
Aníbal Pinto's work provides an excellent basis for examining some of the changes that have taken place in economic and political relations between Latin America and the United States in recent years, to try to find an interpretation of them, and to scrutinize in future prospects. This constitutes an obvious reality, as Pinto shows: that the North American approaches to these relationships have been undergoing very significant changes. Although unfortunately the work we are commenting on does not examine the other side of the medal –the attitudes of Latin Americans in relation to their hegemonic power–, it is well known that here too there have been changes of the greatest importance.

Resumen
The interaction between changes in the global international system, changes in the regional subsystem, and changes in the models of social organization and economic development of some of the Latin American countries, contribute to the understanding of the phenomenon of the Andean Group. We examine the case of the Andean Group as a strategy to increase power in the international system and its importance on the external definition - or unity in the international context - in the genesis of the Andean Group, and in the main characteristics of the integration and of its institutional structure. It is also intended to determine in what way an external definition explains the emergence of the Group (that is, the Andean project in response to external factors), and in what way the Andean project and its institutional structure contemplate the external action of the Group.

Relaciones económicas entre América Latina y Estados Unidos : implicaciones y perspectivas políticas
Pinto, Aníbal
Universidad de Chile. Instituto de Estudios Internacionales
Resumen
The first part of this paper reviews the changes or evolution of opinions held in Latin America and the United States regarding the reciprocal meaning of their economic ties, to contrast them in the second part with objective antecedents on those ties, taking as a starting point only the mutant, more or less official point of view of the United States. We maintain that there is a growing weakness and imbalance in their economic relations to the detriment of Latin America. The third part tries to analyze, against the background of the preceding sections, some main elements to evaluate the possibilities of conflict or détente in the relations of the two areas.
