Resumen
Pathological disease of visceral collaterals of the abomina! aorta are rare but highly serious. They present difficult problems in their diagnosis and therapy. Two predominan! pathological p;ocesses are established: obstructions and aneurisms, with their feared complications, infarction and rupture. Surgeons are called upon to consider these diseaseswhen faced with an acute picture of the abdomen and they are given the guidelines for an early diagnosis and for the use of sorne therapeutical resources. The most frequent topographies of the process are listed in order of importance: hepatic artery,- upper mesenteric artery and splenic artery. Finally experiences in our country are reviewed

Resumen
Two patients with duodenal ulcers and piloric obtructive syndrome had unrler gone gastroenterostomy far from the pilorus ( 28 and 32 years earlier). Theylater developed stomach ulcers complicated by haemorrhages. They were cured through degastroenterostomy and subtotal gastrectomy 75 % Billroth II. Thedifferent pathogenical hypothesis of gastric ulcers are discussed. Hyperacydity of antral gastrinic origin is considered the genetical ele.ment of gastric ulcers; this thesis is supported by the two clinical cases mentioned.

Spontaneous biliodigestive fistulas have been found, Uruguay, practical!y by chance. Their detection should be the result of careful studies, placing the patient indiffeernt positions, after having examined him through simple radiography and la ter using contrast: gastroduodenum, colon by enema or ingestion of gaseousliquid, liquid barium sulphate, Hypaque, etc. It is essential that the radiologist be made acquainted with the ·suspected disease and that he be supplied with al! pertinent data. T.V. should be used whenever possible. Should be considered negative cholecystograms, change of position in calculous images, and. neunobilia.

Resumen
A case of acute severe digestive bleeding in a 10 years old boy is reported. It was produced by a peptic yuxtapiloric ulcer and the radical traitment consisted in subtotal gastrectomy. The evolution was satisfactory one year latter.

The paper describes a case of acule pericarditis requiring drainage of the pericardium in a patient suffering from chronic ulcerative colitis. Emphasis is laid on the approach and the reasons that lead to it. The correct evolution of the patient is pointed out.
