The ability of university students to write scientific texts has become one of the priority areas in higher education. Nevertheless, it is important to complement these skills with new advancements in information technology, especially with the emergence of artificial intelligence. In this way, the authors aim to explore the impact of writing review articles on strengthening these research skills among students. A mixed-methods approach was employed, beginning with a bibliometric stage that analyzed 679 articles published in Scopus between 2019 and 2023. The second stage focused on the thematic analysis of the most relevant research through the development of content units. It was identified that there is a marked interest in the scientific community regarding the study of integrating artificial intelligence into education, specifically in the writing of review articles as a pedagogical strategy to acquire writing skills. Specifically, the benefits of artificial intelligence in bibliometrics and linguistic and grammatical adaptations are highlighted. However, the need to adopt an ethical approach in the application of artificial intelligence is emphasized, so that university students can develop academic writing skills, thereby ensuring that these tools promote student development in a more responsible manner.

The aim of this study is to analyse the first level of health care in Peru and international and its implications for public policy. Methodology, the approach is qualitative, a documentary analysis was conducted, which was the result of a search in the databases of Scopus, Web Of Sciencie and Scielo, the article is a systematic review, followed the PRISMA Methodology, the inclusion criteria were studies between 2015 and 2024 that analyse the First Level of Health Care. The results show that 97.1% and 77.78%, in 2021 and 2022, the PNAS centres had insufficient installed capacity, which translates into obsolete equipment and a precarious, inoperative and insufficient infrastructure and a gap of 1,791 PNAS centres, which represents 44% of the total of 4,041 required, and few medical personnel. It is concluded that there is a need to strengthen infrastructure and medical equipment, as well as the absence of doctors at the first level of health care, which hinders the fulfilment of public health policies. The limitations of the study are the limited availability of recent data on the subject.

A knowledge network is defined as a form of social interaction designed to complement and enhance the benefits derived from the exchange of knowledge. In this regard, entrepreneurship can illustrate how these network structures influence the success or failure of a nascent business. The aim of this study is to analyze how knowledge networks, grounded in trust and solidarity, impact entrepreneurial activity by fostering synergies that promote innovation and employment. To this end, the theoretical-conceptual model called Knowledge Networks Based on Solidarity in Entrepreneurship is proposed. The research adopts a qualitative methodology based on the case study method, focusing on Company M, located in Toluca, State of Mexico, which specializes in the commercialization of construction tools and moldings. The selection of this profit-oriented company allows for the examination of whether entrepreneurial actions are solely motivated by profit maximization or, on the contrary, encompass the formation of knowledge networks characterized by trust and solidarity. A limitation lies in the very nature of the case study, which leads to context-specific findings that are not generalizable. However, the results validate the proposed theoretical-empirical framework, as the analysis reveals a positive correlation between solidarity and knowledge networks within the entrepreneurial domain.

The objective of the study was to evaluate how national contextual factors, organizational heritage, digital business strategies and internationalization strategy predict the optimal performance of companies when expanding internationally. The development of the study was quantitative in approach and causal explanatory design. The research was based on a probabilistic sampling, selecting a sample of 133 managers of companies engaged in foreign trade activities. Data collection was carried out by means of a 20-question questionnaire. The data were analyzed with PLS-SEM structural equations. The results of the study highlight the importance of digital platforms in reducing barriers to entry and access to international markets. The theoretical and practical implications suggest that companies should invest in technology and understand cultural particularities to improve their performance. In addition, organizational flexibility and innovation act as factors that expand their capabilities due to changes that companies can capitalize on and drive opportunities, while minimizing risks. This approach will enable companies involved in international business to not only enter new markets but also ensure their sustainability and global expansion.

Solidarity as a social construct has begun to take up new momentum in the social sciences. It has enormous potential to impact all of its areas, especially management. In this article, we, guest editors, introduce various perspectives that shed light on how to apply to different theoretical and empirical concerns, which were part of the special issue dedicated to this topic in Telos. The purpose of this study is to analyze the directions and approaches in contemporary studies of social solidarity. The authors use analysis of secondary source and theoretical analysis of sociological, economic, and managerial concepts. Another classification of sources divide those regarding theoretical issues of joint society, and exploring solidarization practices. The research findings show that traditional concepts of social systems’ integration and collective satisfaction of needs neighbor with numerous contexts arising around solidarity as a human right to collective protection of group interests, an ethical obligation to help those who are in need, acceptance of the Other, contributing to global integration.

Markets are typically depicted as places with an economic or financial rationality, and are described as the genesis of business and entrepreneurship.  Unfortunately, their inner mechanics are oftentimes abstracted away in the pursuit of neat theories.  As a consequence, important insights are lost.  We utilized autoethnography to take a deep dive into markets located in Nigeria.  We discovered that women viewed the market not as a place for profit, but as a space for solidarity-based organizing.  Although participants engaged in business transactions, the primary attraction was the fact that women could exercise independence and mutual aid.  Our story demonstrates the market as a true heterotopia with a different social contract that influenced the values of market participants throughout their lives.  This manuscript is of interest to scholars of entrepreneurship, space, organizing, women’s studies, and solidarity.

This article is the result of a study on the relevance and quality of articulation processes between secondary and higher education in Nariño, Colombia. A mixed-method approach was used, employing both statistical methods and qualitative analysis to understand managers', teachers', and students' perceptions of educational articulation. In a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, data were collected at a single point in time, with no intentional manipulation of variables, observing the processes as they occurred in their natural academic context. The study analysed the articulation processes based on propaedeutic cycles, the public policies of the Ministerio de Educación Nacional of Colombia and the inter-institutional experiences that link secondary education with technical and vocational training programmes. Through this analysis, the motivations and educational interests of the students were identified, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the articulation programmes. It was concluded that articulation between educational levels is essential to improve the transition of students to higher education, but the need to review and adapt the curricula of educational programmes to align them with the demands of the labour market and regional realities was highlighted. Furthermore, the lack of a consolidated governmental strategy was highlighted, which limits the impact of these policies at the local level. It is suggested that inter-institutional strategies should be deepened and teacher training strengthened in order to improve the quality of the educational articulation process in the future.

Nowadays, teenagers show less scientific vocation in the STEM area (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), due to the lack of relationship they find between learning science and the real world, being one of the main causes the teaching method of teachers from a traditional perspective. Therefore, it is necessary to change the teaching models and methodologies applied in the classroom to increase student interest, with gamification and the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) being a viable option. In this sense, the objectives of this work are to analyze the academic performance, satisfaction and emotions generated in students of the Degree in Primary Education Teacher Training when they were faced with an escape room whose resolution required the application of the basic knowledge acquired in the subject of Experimental Sciences and to evaluate the interest aroused in future teachers for the use of this type of active methodologies in their Primary Education classrooms. Therefore, in the present study, an escape room was designed and implemented as a general review of the contents of Experimental Sciences and as a practical demonstration of an active methodology for future Primary Education teachers. Based on an apocalyptic story, combining an ICT tool with manipulative material, the students overcame challenges until they managed to create an electrical circuit. The performance and satisfaction index, as well as the emotions generated in the students, were analyzed, concluding that this experience motivated the participants, generating positive emotions and allowing them to put into practice the knowledge acquired in Experimental Sciences.

The objective of this research is to analyze the corporate identity of the Petrochemical industry in Venezuela. The research design was classified as cross-sectional and the population was made up of the entire fixed payroll of the Corporation, consisting of analysts, supervisors, superintendents and line managers. A sample was calculated, with a confidence level (Z): 95%, Z≈ 1.96, as well as a p value = 0.5 and a margin of error of 5% and a population of 4,690 employees. The result, when replacing the respective values, gave rise to a total of 385 employees. Although in the research, there was a calculated population sample of 385 subjects, even though the three reminders were made via internal email, responses were obtained from 231 people. This scenario raised the need to calculate and analyze the return rate to better understand the scope and limitations of the research; thus, the return rate (or response rate) was 60.0%; although the full sample of 385 subjects was not reached, a return rate of 60.0% is reasonable and considered acceptable in many social and marketing studies. The analysis of these elements and their contribution to the overall perception of the company allowed us to conclude that visual elements, such as the logo and corporate colors, play a crucial role in the first impression of the company. On the other hand, verbal elements, including tone and style of communication, help define the voice of the company, and behavioral elements, which encompass the actions and behaviors of the organization, reinforce the coherence between what is said and is done.

This study evaluates the impact of price elasticity on cigarette consumption in Ecuador between 2015 and 2023, with the aim of analyzing how cigarette demand varies in response to price changes, considering the country's specific socio-economic and economic factors. The research employs a non-experimental, quantitative, and descriptive methodology, using the average formula to calculate the price elasticity of cigarette demand. The results indicate that the price elasticity is negative, showing an inverse relationship between price and quantity demanded: as cigarette prices increase, demand decreases, although in a relatively inelastic manner. In other words, the price increase reduces the quantity demanded by a smaller proportion than the price increase. This behavior is influenced by fiscal policies and the socio-economic characteristics of the Ecuadorian population. The study highlights the importance of considering the national context when designing fiscal policies aimed at reducing tobacco consumption. Price-elasticity-based policies can not only optimize tax collection but also contribute to improving public health. It is suggested that tax increases be gradual and that awareness campaigns, particularly targeted at vulnerable groups like the youth, be implemented to reinforce the impact of fiscal policies. These findings provide valuable information for policymakers seeking to balance economic and public health objectives.
