Resumen
The objective of this article is to examine the processes of physical and symbolic annihilation that have occurred in Central American countries, mainly in those that have opted for punitive populism as a state policy, using of the analytical category of juvenicide. The permanent State of Exception adopted in El Salvador, by the government of Nayib Bukele, is analyzed as a case study, as a youth-killing device that, despite maintaining historical continuity with Mano Dura policies, is leading to unprecedented levels the imprisonment, murder and physical and symbolic erasure of large segments of marginalized youth and their future prospects.

Resumen
The purpose of this text is to show that the rise and romanticization, in series or movies, of characters inspired by mobsters or drug traffickers is possible because they do not propose a change in the system under slogans of social vindication, so their existence is harmless for hegemonic governments and elites. Even such romanticization, shaped in the social imaginary through these productions, can contribute to governmental legitimization and political marketing that governments make of the fight against drug trafficking. Something that does not work like this with leaders of armed social movements, since although both lead or execute actions that infringe the law, the symbolic and factual treatment they receive from governments is proportional to what each represents for governmental power. This influences how popular culture and media products portray them, and how the public and elites respond to them.

Resumen
Through the question of how we look and how that look constitutes the social, the first Visual Arts Salon of the Museo Municipal de Bellas Artes Fernando Bonfiglioli (Town Fine Arts Museum Fernado Bonfiglioli) in Villa María, Córdoba, Argentina is explored. This event - as an expression of a particular 'politics of gaze' (Scribano, 2018), condenses relevant debates and meanings to understand a 'epochal passage' (Melucci, 1994). It is proposed to restitute 'postcards' of this event as an experimental strategy: each postcard is presented as a singular configuration of image and text which invites us to think - as Benjamin (2005) proposed that there is only knowledge in the form of lightning, and that text 'is the long thunder that then will resound'. Thus, It highlights the power of images not only as objects of interpretation but also as active agents in the construction of knowledge. Within this framework, the first postcard refracts the relationship between history, time and space, where the gaze is re-signified on the basis of what the image configures as a sensitive 'trace' of heritage. Also, in the second postcard, the politics of the gaze and the regimes of visibility appear resignifying the images as 'windows' oriented to the relational process of patrimonialisation. As a whole, this experimental approach proposes openings that, from visual experiences, provoke criticism of the naturalised ways of seeing-knowing-feeling.

Resumen
The present work aims to take as a sample the documentary 'Dos Cataluñas' that was premiered in 2018 on the international platform Netflix. The two methods of discourse analysis are then used: quantitative and qualitative. Therefore, throughout the study, it is investigated how the Spaniards who respect the 1978 Constitution will be identified and the Catalan independentists who demand an immediate separation from Spain. Therefore, the analysis is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the treatment of the Catalan conflict in the documentary, as well as of the discursive strategies used and their impact on the public perception of the conflict.

Resumen
Sports journalism is increasingly employing artificial intelligence (AI) to automate the generation of notes in events of great coverage. However, it is necessary to recognize that there are discursive differences between the news written by AI and those written by humans. The objective of this work was to identify discursive patterns in the tweets generated by the artificial intelligence called OlyBot and by sports journalists in the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Pyeongchang 2018. Gunning's fog index was applied to analyze a sample of 30 tweets issued by the automated system and 30 tweets issued by journalists, in each event. The results indicate that the wording of this AI is simple and concise, as it uses only one sentence per tweet. The parts of speech found were: nouns, verbs, and adjectives. In Rio de Janeiro 2016, both journalists (10.54) and bot (10.44) issued notes that can be read without difficulty, according to the Gunning Fog Index. The most relevant result was found in the readability analysis of the notes issued in Pyeongchang 2018, where journalists reached a value of 14.63 against OlyBot's 10.8, indicating, according to the model used, that these are difficult-to-read texts, which are not for popular consumption. With the increase in words, the artificial intelligence bot maintained its readability level in both events, while the journalist increased the complexity of his notes, making them more unintelligible. The implications of these reflections are of interest to technologists, journalists, and linguists, as well as to society in general since they present the challenge of discerning and assessing those texts that can currently be created by automatons or by journalists, without undermining their readability.

Resumen
Scientific outreach in digital environments has transformed the communication of knowledge, offering advantages such as greater reach and accessibility, but also risks related to public exposure and the distortion of information. This study analyzes researchers' perceptions regarding the benefits and challenges of digital outreach, considering gender and age as determining factors. Using a quantitative correlational approach, a survey was administered to 93 researchers from three Ecuadorian universities to describe their perceptions of the benefits and challenges of digital outreach. Subsequently, it was analyzed whether their perceptions were related to age or gender through statistical tests such as Spearman and Kendall's Tau C. The results show that the majority of participants value digital media for its ability to strengthen professional profiles and combat misinformation. Nevertheless, concerns persist about the distortion of scientific findings and exposure to criticism. A statistically significant, though weak, relationship was found between gender and perception of criticism, with men expressing greater fear of public questioning, while younger researchers perceived a higher risk of receiving criticism compared to their older counterparts. Despite these concerns, the general trend shows a positive predisposition toward digital scientific outreach. Finally, it is concluded that social networks have gained prominence over traditional media in scientific communication, but their use focuses primarily on disseminating one's own research rather than scientific knowledge in general. Additionally, it is stated that gender and age are not necessarily determining aspects in researchers' perceptions, and it is therefore recommended that future studies consider factors such as professional experience, scientific culture, or digital competence.

Resumen
The main objective of this research was to identify innovative cyberjournalistic genres in Spanish sports journalism during the coverage of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The study sample consisted of web and social media posts (Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube) from Marca, and a mixed-methods approach was applied. First, quantitative content analysis was used to determine the formats and cyberjournalistic genres employed in Marca's coverage. Based on this, innovative content was identified, described, and categorized through qualitative analysis, leading to an updated and enriched classification of cyberjournalistic genres. The results showed that Marca prioritized publication on Twitter, its website, Facebook, and Instagram, with multimedia formats standing out. Text remained the predominant element, often combined with images, videos, or both. Regarding cyberjournalistic genres, informative ones were the most prevalent, while innovative cyberjournalistic genres were characterized by conciseness and multimedia integration. In contrast, emerging formats and cyberjournalistic genres such as virtual reality, 360° video, and immersive genres were absent, reflecting the constant evolution of cyberjournalistic genres and the importance of studying them to keep classifications updated, serving as a reference for journalists, audiences, and academia.

Resumen
In the field of communication sciences and journalism in particular, the Broadband Society and digitization are promoting the search for business models that allow the creation of content to be monetized. This research analyzes the loyalty strategy in the subscription model shared by La Vanguardia, Mundo Deportivo and Historia y Vida through their subscriber club, Club Vanguardia. The main objective is focused on identifying the reason why a large part of the users do not use or are unaware of the existence of this free and exclusive tool that is offered to them, as well as proposing actions to improve its effectiveness and continue to differentiate itself before its competitors in a market as proactive as the press. The case study, of an exploratory nature, uses quantitative methodological techniques, through a survey that analyzes the knowledge and perceptions about Club Vanguardia in users who had not used it during the last year. In addition, the value of experience is studied and current interests are considered to reconsider the range of offers that being a member of the club brings. It is concluded that Club La Vanguardia builds loyalty but can monetize more, and that the application of the results of the study in the current loyalty model of the newspaper would bring significant changes, considerably increasing the number of unique subscribers when knowing and making use of Club Vanguardia.

Resumen
Brazil has been facing dengue fever epidemics and local initiatives are one of the ways to combat Aedes aegypti, the mosquito that transmits the disease. Information is one of them, considering the role of journalism and its endogenous characteristics as a service and public utility. Through a case study of TV Integração, a Globo affiliate in Juiz de Fora, Araxá, Uberaba and Uberlândia, we observed the editorial strategies of local television journalism in specific content, in different formats, about dengue fever and also the interaction of viewers via WhatsApp commenting on this public health topic, between January and March 2024, in 221 editions of three local news programs of the station. It can be inferred that TV Integração fulfilled its role in informing and maintaining local identity with its viewers. Despite this, the drop in the number of cases and deaths in Minas Gerais only occurred after the rains ended, which leads us to understand that people were not fully aware of the dangers of dengue fever.
