The article aims to reveal the positive effects of physical activity in diabetes mellitus, for which the authors of the research conducted a bibliographic review on the subject. The origin of most chronic non-communicable diseases is due to a sedentary lifestyle and lack of physical activity that leads to weight gain or obesity. Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic endocrine-metabolic disease characterized by chronic hyperglycemia, due to decreased insulin production by the pancreas or decreased quality thereof. We conclude that physical activity is vital for the metabolic control of this disease. It has been scientifically proven that physical activity favors insulin sensitivity, lowers blood sugar levels, reduces the risk of complications and provides benefits during the rehabilitation of patients with diabetes mellitus.

This research addresses the importance of job training in students of the tourism career. Its objective is to systematize personality qualities in students of the tourism career as an expression of their job training. The novelty of the result lies in analyzing job training as an integrating concept that contributes to promoting the internalization of knowledge and value orientations that are gradually reflected in feelings, ways of thinking and behaviors in accordance with the formation of personality qualities, whatever previously exposed as the main result of this work addressed to the Cuban educational system in which the set of theoretical positions related to job training in students of the tourism career is offered.

The article proposes a flipped classroom method for the formation of professional meta-competences of university students, which expresses as a scientific novelty the establishment of a dynamic that systematizes the learning modality - bLearning (combination of face-to-face and virtual learning), based on the integration of academic component with the work and research component. The research was oriented in a quantitative approach of pre-experimental type. The study sample consisted of 60 students of the Mechanical Engineering career of the University of Holguín. Documentary analysis, the systemic approach, observation, the pre-pedagogical experiment and the Chi-square (X2) statistic were used as methods. After the analysis of the data, the existence of significant transformations in the professional training of meta-competences in university students in their professional activities that generated favorable impacts in the productive and service processes in which they were inserted at work was verified, concluding that The method contributes to raising the quality of professional training for university students from a more comprehensive, flexible and contextualized approach, based on the combination of virtual and face-to-face learning styles.

The work is aimed at revealing the diagnosis on the preparation of the professional in training of Pedagogy Psychology for the satisfactory attention to subjects with conduct disorder from determining the inconsistencies in this direction, as part of their professional functions, which limits the new actions that he has to take in his professional performance based on the demands of the inclusive school. With the application of various scientific methods, both theoretical and empirical, it is possible to verify the current state of the preparation of the Pedagogy Psychology professional in training for the care of subjects with conduct disorder.

The art educator of the XXI century is challenged by the mastery of the audiovisual language, today a strategic importance is given to the development of competences to incorporate it into the pedagogical process along with the other languages ??of art. The present article combines the results of the research carried out in the Bachelor of Art Education at the University of Holguín. The objective is to analyze the importance of professional teaching tasks as an innovative alternative in the teaching-learning process in university art education. The research methods used are mainly qualitative, they are theoretical and empirical, for example: historical logical; analysis synthesis; modeling with a systemic approach; participant scientific observation; critical analysis of documents; interviews; surveys; expert criteria, critical reflection workshops, among others. The educational potentialities offered by the professional teaching tasks for different contexts are described. The results achieved and the main transformations are evident in teachers and students, due to the quality of management in their professional performance.

The development of professional skills in the training of primary school teachers to creatively use Information and Communication Technologies in the direction of the Educational Teaching Process constitutes a requirement in the face of the demands of the contemporary world. In this sense, the preparation that students of the Primary Teachers specialty must receive becomes a challenge and a necessity due to the important role they play in society during the training of new generations of students. The purpose of this paper is to characterize, from a descriptive study, the presence of Information and Communication Technologies in the training process of this type of professional. For its realization, countries from different regions of the world are taken as a reference: Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica, Spain and Cuba. Methods of the theoretical and empirical level were used in the investigation dialectically, among them the logical history, analysis synthesis, document analysis, interviews and descriptive procedures.

Higher Education Institutions (HEI) have as a priority the improvement of the quality of their substantive processes to contribute to the needs of society and to transform it positively; this is influenced by the effectiveness of the training of professionals, based on flexible, direct and assertive behaviors and communicative modes of action leading to such a task. The objective of the present article is to argue the training of assertive communication in students, as a pedagogical guideline for the achievement of university management. With the use of methods such as synthesis analysis, the transition from the abstract to the concrete, among others, the concepts of university management, assertive communication and the training process of professionals were analyzed, from which the main pedagogical procedures were modeled to respond to the objective proposed.

This article enriches the analysis of the process of formation of the Cuban Philosophy, stopping at the detailed examination of publications not prioritized in the study presented in previous issues of this magazine, on the transforming and creative spirit of the educational project of the Cuban teacher of the 19th century, Jose de la Luz y Caballero. The objective of the work is to reveal the tributes that the great thinker makes to the teaching of Philosophy and the patriotic education of young people in his fight against spiritualist eclecticism, through his four refutations to José Zacarías González del Valle (Tulio) on eclecticism. de Cousin, published in the month of October 1839. The text presents an examination of the theoretical deployment exhibited in his articles, when dealing with topics that he later develops in his Philosophy chair, in order to systematize a philosophical doctrine that would respond to social needs. from the country.

This article shows the conception and the results of a diagnostic study that has as objective the characterization of the management of the internationalization of the university extension at Holguín University and identification of its main strengths and weaknesses.  The methodology used included the application of opinion polls and the review of documents; as well as theoretical methods and statistical and qualitative procedures for the processing of the data collected and the obtaining of the expected information, which contributed findings regarding 8 indicators and 21 sub-indicators. The study included a sample of 219 professors (188 professors and 31 executives), that represent 22.9 % of the total of those that occupy these positions in the nine faculties of the university. While progress has been seen, it is evident that the insertion of the international dimension in the university extension has not had the same extent and celerity that in the rest of the university key processes.

In the article, the authors expose results of a research developed in the major Bachelor in Accounting and Finances of the University of Holguín, Cuba, with the purpose of elaborating and implementing an improvement strategy for the training of professors in the direction of Community environmental education of their students. The use of scientific methods allowed the authors to reveal insufficiencies and the probable causes of those insufficiencies, which were related with the training of professors to direct the process of the Community environmental education with their students. The improvement strategy responds to the basic regulations established by the current legislation of the Republic of Cuba for Postgraduate Education. Its implementation, as part of the introduction of the results of the research, in the major of Accounting and Finances of the University of Holguín, has revealed how relevant is the proposal for the solution of the insufficiencies declared by the authors.
