Cultural goods and services are an essential part of the non-material consumption of human beings. These products can be marketed around the world and represent a window of opportunity. The objective of this article is to study the commercial exchange of these products to know their behavior. In Mexico there is a great cultural baggage, however there is no positive commercial exchange for the country or diversification of commercialized cultural products.

The role of thirst perception for keeping hydric balance, both during and after exercise, has been extensively studied. However, the way to assess it and the effectiveness of the existing instruments are areas that still require further research. The objective of this review is to integrate, in a general way, the information available in the literature on the functioning of the thirst mechanism as a response to dehydration during and after exercise. The physiological mechanisms and their responses during and after exercise are explained. In addition, a description of the instruments available in scientific literature is included, together with their weaknesses and strengths, and a series of as yet unanswered questions in this area are raised. This review presents the theoretical aspect of thirst mechanisms, and discusses the scientific studies that support or refute the behavior of these mechanisms in exercise. Finally, a summary is made of the major conclusions drawn from the scientific literature on thirst as a sufficient mechanism to prevent dehydration both during and after exercise.

In recent years, it has been identified that low general motor coordination affects low participation in instances of free play, organized and free sports activities. In turn, a better motor domain is related to a low level of sedentary lifestyle and therefore a higher level of physical activity. Goal. To compare the level of general motor coordination of boys and girls participating in the Sports Initiation component of the "Comprehensive Sports Schools" program of the Chilean Ministry of Sports ("Learning in Movement" since 2019) with those of a control group, in different regions of Chile. . Methodology. In relation to the sample, 417 boys and girls were evaluated (341 EDI group and 76 control group) from eight regions of the country (Antofagasta, Coquimbo, Valparaíso, O`Higgins, Metropolitana, Bío - Bío, Araucanía and Los Lagos) whose ages fluctuated between 6 and 11 years of age. To collect information, the 3JS instrument was used, consisting of seven tasks (3 for locomotion and 4 for object control). Results. Males have better performance than females in general motor coordination. By grouping the test items according to the type of coordination, they also outperform the ladies in locomotion and object control. Boys and girls from the Los Lagos region perform better in six of the seven tests. The boys and girls who participated in the program (EDI group) obtained better results than the control group, in five of the seven tests. Conclusion. Boys outperform girls in locomotor coordination and object control tests, as well as in general motor coordination scores. The boys and girls of the EDI program outperform their peers who do not participate in these instances, evidencing a greater difference in tests that require throwing, precision and obstacle draw.

Motor performance is often assessed in two different ways. The first of them focuses on how the skill is carried out, whereas the second records the product obtained after execution. While both are widely used, the relationship between them is not clear. The objective of the present study is to determine the relationship between the results of process- or product-oriented tests that are used to measure actual motor performance, and to examine possible moderating variables through the meta-analytic technique. In order to sum up the products, the random effect model (REML) was used and the effect size (TE) of the correlation was calculated. A total seven studies met the criteria for eligibility, and a total 37 TE were obtained. It was found that a significant and positive relationship exists between process- and product-evaluated performance (TE = 0.466; IC95% = 0.391, 0.541; p < .001; n = 37; Q = 78.68; p < .001; I2 = 60.17%). Age and skill type were analyzed as possible moderating variables. The results suggest that a relationship exists between process- and product-oriented assessments of actual motor performance, while age and the type of skill have no influence on that relationship.

The purpose of this study was to describe an anthropometric, aerobic and muscle power profile of young Costa Rican basketball players according to sex, play positions and age. The assessment was carried outa on 99 young players (43 women and 56 men; 18 guards, 51 forwards and 30 centers; 42 in the U16 category and 57 in the U18 category) from eight different teams. The sports experience of the players was 6.5 ± 3.1 years. The following parameters were assessed: height, weight, body mass index, skeletal muscle mass and body fat percentage, countermovement test (CMJ) and Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level I. The main results showed significantly higher values in men than in women in terms of weight, height, skeletal muscle mass, distance covered in the yo-yo test, VO2max, height in CMJ and in flight time. Body fat percentage was higher in women than in men. Centers showed significantly higher height, weight and body fat percentage than other play positions. Guards and forwards covered more meters in the yo-yo test and showed higher VO2max than centers. No significant differences were found between the U16 and U18 categories in any variable. Regression models showed the influence of weight, body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass and age on VO2max and CMJ. In conclusion, these indicators varied according to the sex and play position of the players. Additionally, this information will be useful for processes of promotion, development and training design of youth basketball in Costa Rica.

The objective of this study was to describe the amount of physical activity carried out by Costa Rican urban population and to determine its relationship to socio-demographic and anthropometric variables. A representative sample of Costa Rican urban population, made up by 798 individuals, was analyzed. The physical activity data (displacement, free time and total) were taken through the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). Participants were classified as active or inactive according to the internationally recommendation of physical activity. 37.1% of participants did not meet the recommendations. It was also observed that the time of physical activity was significantly longer (p< .001) in men (535.3 vs. 371.3 min/week) in younger people (584.3 min/week in the 15-19 years old group vs. 309.2 min/week in the 50-65 years old group) and in people that were not overweight (521.3 vs. 411.7 min/week). The waist circumference was significantly lower in active people (90.6 vs. 94.1 cm, p < .011), and active men also showed a lower neck circumference (38.2 vs. 39.6 cm, p < .001), lower weight (75.7 vs. 79.3 kg, p = .025) and a lower body mass index (26.1 vs. 27.9 kg/m2, p = .004). These results could be used to raise awareness on the need for improvement in the implementation of global policies and practices to promote physical activity.

The purpose of this study was to quantify the effect size (TE) of aerobic exercise on cardiorespiratory capacity in survivors of the COVID-19 disease caused by the SARS-CoV 2 virus. Two data bases (EBNSCO host and PubMed) were reviewed over the months of August through November, 2021. A total 142 656 potential articles were reviewed and, after applying several filters, 9 studies that met the requirements for inclusion were included. The random effect model was used. A first meta-analysis that was biased (according to Egger test) obtained 12 TE. After identifying and eliminating groups with an extreme TE, a corrected, unbiased model was obtained with 7 studies and 9 TE was obtained, where it was found that aerobic exercise has a significant, positive and large-magnitude effect on the cardiorespiratory condition on survivors of the COVID-19 disease (TE = 0.849; IC95%: 0.715 – 0.9 82; Q = 7.13; p = 0.522; I2 = 0.87%; Egger p = 0.205). Interventions with aerobic exercise foster an improvement in cardiorespiratory capacity in patients who survived COVID-19. Two studies applied aerobic exercise only, whereas the other seven combined aerobic exercise with strength exercise and other modes. In all cases, a significant TE was obtained. Finally, these results were relatively homogeneous, with no evidence for the influence of possible moderating variables.

PURPOSE: to quantify the effect size (ES) of aerobic exercise on cardiorespiratory fitness in COVID-19 disease survivors. METHODS: two databases (EBSCO host and PubMed) were reviewed between August and November 2021. Potential studies (142656 possible articles) were found. Nine studies met the inclusion requirements. Descriptive statistics (means, standard deviations) were extracted, and the random effects meta-analysis model was applied. RESULTS: twelve ES were obtained in a first meta-analysis that was biased (according to Egger's test). After identifying and eliminating groups with extreme ES, a corrected and unbiased model was obtained (7 studies and 9 ES). The corrected model showed that aerobic exercise (alone or in combination with other types) has a significant, positive, and large ES on cardiorespiratory fitness in COVID-19 disease survivors (ES=0.849; 95% CI: 0.715 - 0.982; Q=7.13; p=0.522; I2=0.87%; Egger p=0.205). Two studies had only an aerobic exercise intervention. The other studies had a combination of aerobic and strength exercise. Also, there were no evidence of moderator variables. CONCLUSION: exercise interventions including aerobic and strength training or only aerobic exercise improve COVID-19 survivors´ cardiorespiratory fitness.
