This article explores the interplay between relational intelligence and artificial intelligence in higher education, drawing on the supervision of two undergraduate theses completed in 2024 at Amazonas State University. The studies focused on fuzzy optimal control of the pink river dolphin (Inia geoffrensis ) population and numerical modeling of thermal stratification in Lake Tefé – both complex projects rooted in the Amazonian context and requiring advanced mathematical and computational skills. Despite their technical demands, the success of these endeavors hinged on relational practices such as active listening, trust, progressive autonomy, and dialogue. Building on these experiences, the article discusses how artificial and relational intelligence can be integrated to foster innovative, human-centered pedagogy in technical-scientific fields.

The general objective of this research was to analyze the level of development of readiness for reading and writing in children aged 4 to 5 years. This is a qualitative study with a concurrent, field, transversal and non-experimental explanatory design. The population considered is made up of 70 students and 22 teachers, while the intentional sample represents 50% of the total population. Techniques such as survey and observation were used in data collection, using instruments such as the questionnaire and observation guide. The diagnosis of academic performance in preparation made it possible to obtain valuable information about the children’s strengths and weaknesses in this area, in addition to evaluating their levels of linguistic competence and reading comprehension. This facilitated the implementation of more appropriate and personalized pedagogical strategies, designed to strengthen their skills, enhance their development and foster their self-confidence.

The European clinical guideline for the management of non-specific chronic pain recommends manual therapy as a treatment option. However, evidence shows that passive treatments for chronic low back pain have lost ground compared to active exercises, which are recommended for both treatment and prevention of low back pain. Furthermore, there is still no consensus on the best technique or treatment; however, some evidence has shown excellent results, including spinal manipulation technique and therapeutic exercises (general exercises and motor control). The objetive of this systematic review was to evaluate the effectiveness of manual therapy techniques compared to therapeutic exercises for the relief of chronic low back pain. A systematic review of literature from randomized controlled trials (RCTs) used 5 databases: Medline, Scopus, PubMed, Pedro, and Cochrane, published in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Search terms included: low back pain, spinal manual therapy, non-specific pain, exercises for low back pain, chronic pain. Results Four eligible studies were found after selecting titles, abstracts, and full texts according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Moderate evidence was found that exercises have a slight significant improvement over spinal manipulation therapy and control groups with sham physiotherapy in the short term, but not in the medium or long term, where spinal manipulation therapy showed a slight improvement over exercises and the sham control group. This systematic review concludes that both manual therapy and supervised exercises provide positive outcomes for improving the well-being of patients suffering from musculoskeletal injuries

Apis mellifera L. is a species of vital importance as pollinator, whose presence is fundamental for the proper development of ecosystems. However, various anthropogenic factors cause alterations in its ecological niche. This research analyzes the presence of Apis mellifera along with bioclimatic, environmental, and agricultural variables using the maximum entropy model (MaxEnt) to determine the niche and potential distribution of the species within the study area. As a result, it was determined that the ecological niche of honeybees is mainly determined by factors such as the type of vegetation cover, honey production, and the annual range of temperature (Bio7), identifying areas with high suitability covering a total of 645.99 hectares corresponding to grasslands and crops, especially in the San Antonio de Ibarra parish. The model was validated using the AUC (0.904) and TSS (0.618) values. Certainly, it is evident that Apis mellifera finds its ideal habitat in small and specific areas where it would be feasible to promote the development of beekeeping.

The present paper focuses in the the software development process applying the Scrum framework in the implementation of the telematic voting system for elections at the Politecnica Estatal del Carchi (UPEC) University. Scrum have good agile practices were the work team delivers the product iteratively and incrementally considering aspects such as: usability, functionality, security, reliability, and others. to obtain quality software for the final customer. The survey of users’ requirements for (stakeholders) involved in the project was carried out for the systematization of one of the university administrative processes: university elections, where the framework (Scrum) was adapted to the needs, given by three characteristic phases of the life cycle: Prejudice (definition of the system and updating of requirements) with three artifacts, Development (iterations and delivery of the product growth) with two artifacts and PostGame (delivery of the product) with one artifact. The team consisted of 5 people: 1 Product Owner, 1 Scrum Master, 2 developers, 1 Tester, where 22 user stories were performed in the Product Backlog, 2 Sprint and 22 functional tests, Performing the delivery of the product during the Sprint and tests incrementally, with a development time of 257 hours (6 weeks) of 320 hours planned (8 weeks) for the implementation of the telematic voting system. To conclude, in the final phase the project closing meeting was held, providing training to end users to optimize the results that demonstrated the quality of the development process of the product.

Geometry and measurement are fundamental areas of focus within the mathematics curriculum in Ecuador that promotes the development of essential cognitive skills in students. The objective of this study was to determine the incidence of the methodological strategy of gamification in the development of the mathematical competence geometry and measurement. The research was quantitative with a descriptive relational scope and quasi-experimental design, involving 144 high school students from 6 public schools in the city of Ibarra. An initial pretest analysis showed that 55% of the students had a low level of geometric competencies, while the remaining 45% had a medium or high level. These data were contrasted with those obtained in a post-test, revealing a decrease in the number of students with low level to 44%, compared to the increase of students with medium and high level to 56%. Although the initial results revealed that students were developing the assessed competency, more than half of them did not reach the expected level, indicating the need for innovative strategies to improve learning. The findings demonstrate the potential of gamification to transform geometry and measurement instruction in Ecuador. If properly adapted to the school context, this strategy could be a key tool in overcoming challenges students face in developing these skills

This article describes the transdisciplinary approach of agroecological tourism as a strategy for sustainable development in rural areas in the state of Barinas. Agroecological tourism has established itself as a promising alternative for sustainable development in rural areas, offering a series of economic, social and environmental benefits to local communities. However, to achieve truly sustainable development, it is essential to adopt a transdisciplinary approach that integrates various perspectives and disciplines. In this sense, the methodology used in this study was based on in-depth interviews with specialists trained in the Diploma in Agroecological Tourist Routes for Sustainable Development. Through descriptive research with a qualitative approach, three stages were implemented, using epistemic matrices for data collection. The results obtained in this study suggest that agroecological tourism is a viable and sustainable alternative for rural development in various regions of the world. Based on the conclusions and recommendations derived from this approach, it can be stated that the transdisciplinary approach to agroecological tourism provides significant advantages for sustainable development in rural areas. It is crucial to understand this tourism modality as a complex system that interacts with its environment, promoting the active participation of local communities in decision-making and in the design of agroecological tourism strategies.

In this article, the autobiographical story Platonic Sex by Ai Ijima will be analyzed from the perspective of interpretive semiotics (2004), in which we find ideological aspects, social conventions, discursive practices, traditions, norms and values that revolve mainly around the narrative of the body as a space of control and social power. This article is based on a theoretical approach to the interpretative semiotic analysis of the linguistic signs of the work, where the encounter of an actor with the values of the cultural system of the Japanese community in the nineties and in the beginning of the two thousand is made possible. The aim of this proposal is to analyze and interpret how Ai Ijima's narrative is a framework , which the meaning of a social phenomenon is produced, interpreted and communicated. In this work, it is evident how a woman's body, while objectified and manipulated by a lucrative sex industry, is also a motive for contempt and rejection by a society that values women for fulfilling social norms and expectations.
