Resumen
The representation of sports in Chilean society during the early 20th century is analyzed. Between 1901 and 1914, a series of sports magazines were published, which helped generate new meanings about the activity. In these magazines, youth was considered a subject capable of being regenerated through exercise. In this context, it is postulated that the first publications on sports helped popularize and massify ideas and meanings in which sports promoted liberal nationalism, as well as establishing masculine stereotypes and encouraging hygienic behavior.

Resumen
The article aims to restore the conflict of the transport workers of Mendoza, Argentina, in 1936. This struggle was significant for what it represented for the identity of the provincial labor movement and for the State, which changed its way of approaching conflict due to the lessons that came out in this process. Throughout the study we show how the patterns of class solidarity were central elements that shifted the conflict to the benefit of the workers. This solidarity was executed in multiple ways by other labor groups and by a part of the lowest-income population.

Resumen
This article introduces theoretical and thematic dialogues in Mexican historiography concerning education during the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Drawing from research on graded schooling, assessments, discipline, and rebelliousness, as well as the surveillance of sexualised and racialised bodies, it discusses the constitution of subjects in education: children, adolescents, youth, and teachers. It studies experiences as produced in assemblages that include not only human agency and schooling categories and dispositives, but also actant objects and embodied subjectivities.

Resumen
This paper aims to analyze women’s access to employment opportunities in the telegraph system in Colombia between 1865 and 1920. By allowing them to participate in this innovative communications service, telegraphists gained insight into technical knowledge. They demonstrated their abilities and became part of the state bureaucratic structure, expanding their involvement in the public sector. They managed to position themselves in the management of telegraph offices, becoming guarantors of job stability and loyalty amid political belligerencies and military tensions. However, specific difficulties persisted, such as wage gaps and some segregationist positions.

Between 1910 and 1930, during the emergence of labor organizations in Colombia, workers from Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Grenada circulated through various Colombian territories. Using Cartagena as a case study, this article studies the perceptions expressed by national workers regarding the hiring of Afro-Antillean labor in the first three decades of the twentieth century. It argues that such perceptions were changing throughout the period under study; during the decade of the 10s and early 20s —due to economic and racial anxieties— they rejected the presence and hiring of West Indian labor.

The job of “canillita”, the name with which newspaper sellers were early baptized in various Latin American countries, enjoyed enormous popularity among children and young people from marginalized sectors of Córdoba, at the beginning of the 20th century. The following work investigates the individual and collective practices and strategies of the canillitas, as well as the disparate representations built around them, and maintains that the situation of exploitation in which publishing companies kept small workers was covered up through intense philanthropic action directed at the sector, above others. equally precarious jobs.
