During the COVID-19 pandemic, university students have continued their studies through remote education, involving different institutional resources and skills of teachers and students. The objective of this article was to analyze Mexican university students' emotional and learning experiences based on their perceived institutional and teaching support during COVID-19 after a year of remote education. A mixed method (quantitative-qualitative) was used; In the quantitative phase, a self-report questionnaire was applied to 682 students; in the qualitative phase, 21 students were interviewed. The statistical program SPSS v22 was used to analyze quantitative results, and qualitative data were analyzed by hand. Results indicate that students used various strategies that help to self-regulate their learning and generally experienced positive emotions and anxiety and stress. The students were generally satisfied with the institutional and teaching measures implemented; access to virtual platforms, adaptation of content, didactic strategies, and teachers' empathic attitude were highly valued, given the perceived academic overload and decreased interactions.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused many deaths around the world. In fact, if the prevalence of the infection continues, it is expected to decrease life expectancy. From a demographic perspective, the main feature of Covid-19 is its differential effect on age groups, having the worst effect on the elderly people. We estimate temporary life expectancies for each of three age groups by sex, at the national as well as the state level. The method used to estimate life expectancy uses an approach based on Controlled Smoothness of a time series trend, both globally and by segments. This approach is considered suitable to identify the differential effects of each selected age group. For the 41 to 85 year-old group, we estimate a reduction in temporary life expectancy at the national level, between year 2020 (when it reached its minimum value) and the year where it reached its maximum, 3.5 years for men and 1.6 for women. Meanwhile Mexico City, Baja California and Puebla registered the greatest reduction in life expectancy: 7.10, 5.51 and 5.76 years for men, and 3.46, 2.98 and 2.95 years for women, respectively. Our study explores how the COVID-19 disparities in temporary life expectancies develop at the state level. We think this information may be helpful to improve public health policies.

Resumen
From a historical-structural approach and discourse analysis, the article analyzes the conditions that have allowed different Autonomy regimes of the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua and various migration processes within the framework of territorial changes, the trajectory of authority and multiethnic rights in the history of the region. This shows that the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua has gone through three different models of autonomy regimes and migration processes: the autonomy regime of the so-called Mosquitia Reserve and international immigration processes (1860-1894); the abolition of said regime and the prevalence of internal immigration (1894-1979) and the Regional Autonomy regime of the Atlantic Coast-Caribbean with intensive internal immigration (1990-2019). The analysis reveals the causal mechanisms that explain the relationship between these Autonomy regimes and migration: the dispossession of territory, authority and rights from 1894 to today.

Resumen
This article analyzes the effect of two labor reforms on youth employment: the single minimum wage zone consolidation and the minimum age to work increased from 14 to 15 years old. Both reforms took place in Mexico in the same year. We examine these changes as a quasi-natural experiment to compare cities that change their minimum wage zone with those that did not. We segregate workers by their age into two groups of adolescents, underaged and legal age to work. The differences-in-differences analysis showed that a higher minimum wage increased employment only for adolescents with legal age to work, while the effect on adolescents underaged was null. The results were not robust when we accounted for a more extended period in a panel data analysis as there were no effects on employment in any group.
