Resumen
In urban diagnostics, technological tools have been implemented that have allowed for more precise data collection, but the interpretation techniques are almost always the same, and a systematic and complex understanding of the neighborhood is sometimes lacking. This study was conducted in the Víctor Emilio Valdivieso neighborhood of Loja, Ecuador, located in a peripheral area, in a natural ecological protection context with physical-spatial and social challenges. The objective was to use the human body as a metaphor and relate it to urban systems and the concepts of apoptosis and necrosis developed in medicine. Qualitative techniques such as participatory workshops and others that allowed for creative interpretations to be explored through metaphor were added to the results. The social system was conceived as the nervous system; the urban fabric and block structure as the muscular system; the circulatory and respiratory systems as public and green spaces; and the road network and geomorphology were conceived as the skeletal system. Three temporal milestones were considered: 2014, 2020, 2023. The conceptual analogy allowed us to identify that the nervous and muscular systems began a necrotic process that must be treated, given the existence of unsafe spaces, as well as the loss of green areas in public spaces. It was also determined that a large part of the land should not have been urbanized. The respiratory and circulatory systems function healthily in an apoptotic process due to social organization and the presence of a still-functioning natural context. The skeletal system is considered to be in remission. In short, the resource used sparks creativity for urban analyses, as well as an understanding of their "state of health or disease" from a physical and socio-spatial perspective.

The Church of the Company of Jesus in Quito, built between 1605-1765, is one of the most notable examples of Latin American Baroque religious architecture, a place of worship and exhibition of religious art of the viceregal era. In 160 years, three construction phases can be identified and by 1765 the stone facade had a lime mortar coating that mimics marble, known as 'jasper'.
Several types of mortar were used in the construction, prior to the installation of the altarpieces that we know today, these coatings are the objective of this research and to establish their composition, to contribute to the understanding of the constructive chronology of the church.
A total of 17 coating samples were examined, 14 correspond to coating mortars of the interior of the temple and 3 correspond to the superficial stone façade, extracted with the protocols and less invasive norms suggested by the research team; the samples include stereoscopic microscopy studies that were complemented with mineral characterization and quantitative analysis by X-ray diffraction; as well as polarized light optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy with microanalysis, among others.
The laboratory results demonstrated the presence of lime and gypsum mortars, and gypsum mortars with carbonated aggregate, these elements have a volcanic mineralogical and metamorphic volcanic composition, which allowed us to corroborate them within the construction stages recorded in the church.

Resumen
This research evaluates the impact of Traditional Green Façades (FVT) on the energy demand of a single-family house representative of the residential typology of the Metropolitan Area of Mendoza in summer. The provision of FVT is compared with the use of a traditional insulation technology (Expanded Polystyrene-EPS). The study is structured in three stages: characterization of the opto-thermal properties of the PVT, determination by thermal simulation with EnergyPlus of the energy savings associated with their implementation, and the comparison of the results achieved with those derived from the use of EPS. It is observed that insulating the entire vertical envelope through the use of FVT and EPS, generates energy savings on summer days with high temperatures, in the order of 18.2% and 53.4% for FVT and EPS respectively. And on days with average temperatures, the savings range between 28.7% and 58.6% respectively.

Resumen
This manuscript delves into development and influence of late capitalism in the city of Valparaíso in Chile, seen from the transformations promoted since the 90s in Chile to date. This, in light of some concepts coming from the work of authors such as Gilles Deleuze, regarding the notion of deterritorialization, the concept of capitalist realism, of authors such as Mark Fisher, and the spatio-temporal conformations of David Harvey who, according to this author , is evident in the development of certain encapsulated modes of daily life and interaction, formal and informal at the level of daily living in the city, which is compressed into functional spaces of consumption and interaction, such as malls, food courts, condominiums, second homes, means of transportation, etc. that acquire the status of true urban entities. This is the case of malls in almost all of Chile. Highlighting, in Valparaíso, especially the controversial Mall Project located at the Barón Pier.

Resumen
Women's access to housing programs in Latin America varies significantly depending on the country and the specific housing policies implemented in each context. However, in many countries across the region, women face substantial challenges in accessing housing due to economic, social, and cultural factors that perpetuate gender inequality. This study aims to highlight the importance of incorporating a gender perspective in public policy formulation, particularly in relation to women's access to housing, to promote their empowerment. Through a bibliographic review and a comparative analysis of housing program access rates in two Latin American contexts Mexico and Colombia this research examines how such policies impact women's well-being. Finally, it reflects on the importance of ensuring women's access to social and housing programs, not only as a tool to improve their living conditions but also to strengthen their autonomy and contribute to the development of their environment and quality of life.

Resumen
In this research, an internal control system based on the COSO III model was designed for the Company Patitex, Ibarra-Imbabura. The study had a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative) and descriptive scope, non-experimental design. The internal control questionnaire and interview instruments were used. The results showed that there is poor internal control in the company, due to the lack of some instruments such as: a formal function manual and procedures manual, as well as the lack of a person responsible for evaluating, identifying and mitigating the risk. operational, lack of control in activities, among other control weaknesses. Therefore, an adequate internal control system is proposed that allows you to prevent risks and improve your processes.

Resumen
This study examined the relationship between social norms and entrepreneurial intent from the perspective of sustainable entrepreneurship in the Ecuador-Colombia border region. A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional research design was employed, involving a random survey of 818 entrepreneurs in the provinces of Carchi (Ecuador) and Nariño (Colombia). The results reveal complex patterns in the dynamics of cross-border sustainable entrepreneurship. While the perception of social norms shows similarity between both countries, there are significant differences in entrepreneurial intent. Specifically, a weak but significant positive correlation between social norms and entrepreneurial intent was found in Ecuador, whereas no significant correlation was evidenced in Colombia. These findings suggest a normative decoupling in the context of the transition towards business sustainability, where traditional norms and emerging sustainability norms coexist in tension. The homogeneity in normative perception represents an opportunity to develop cross-border sustainable entrepreneurship initiatives, while the differences in entrepreneurial intent suggest the need for differentiated interventions that consider the specificities of each national ecosystem. This study contributes to the understanding of how social norms and entrepreneurial intent interact in the context of sustainable entrepreneurship in border regions of developing countries.

Resumen
This research evaluates and analyzes two key factors in the competitiveness of MSMEs in Imbabura: digitalization and sustainable development. Using a quantitative methodology with stratified sampling, a survey was conducted with 301 managers regarding the adoption of digital technologies, obstacles to environmental sustainability, and business performance metrics. The results, processed using the SPSS statistical package, revealed that advances in SME digitalization are mostly limited to the use of social networks and corporate websites, while only a few have integrated more advanced technologies such as location systems and business planning. Regarding sustainable development practices, high costs and lack of financing emerged as the main barriers to implementation.

Resumen
Traditional business management models or the dilemma of small enterprises operating based on experience without strategic planning could be the cause of their slow growth. Therefore, this article aims to evaluate organizational management from the perspective of the Balanced Scorecard model applied to a case study to improve strategic planning and decision-making. At the same time, it seeks to demonstrate that companies that select and adapt their management tools to their needs will enhance their competitive level, ensuring business success. The applied methodological approach was mixed, descriptive, and applied. The results showed that Supermercado Bastidas lacked a structured strategic plan, leading to uncertainty in management and decision-making based on incomplete information. It is concluded that adopting strategic models such as the BSC in SMEs improves decision quality, guides the company toward achieving its objectives, enables differentiation through added value, and fosters business success. Finally, this approach reinforces the importance of innovation and adaptation as key pillars for growth in the face of technological advancements.
