Introduction: This paper addresses a transcendental theme in contemporary society, the treatment of cultural diversity in foreign language classes. This arises as part of the experience accumulated by the author in the development of the teaching-learning process of English as a second foreign language with students of different nationalities for several years.Materials and methods: Scientific observation of this process, analysis and synthesis, among other methods, allowed us to determine shortcomings in the treatment of resistance offered by students of different nationalities to carrying out teaching activities in teams in language classes. foreigners.Results: The work provides general considerations about the development of teamwork or small groups as a study skill. At another time, groups of students who have been studying a Bachelor's degree in Spanish for non-Spanish speakers at the University of Havana are characterized.Discussion: The purpose of the report is to develop in students the culture of respect for individual differences in flexible and reflective environments of interaction when working in small groups or teams and thereby generalize practices with other teachers who work with this type of student.Conclusions: The proposal for the promotion of a culture of diversity with students from different nations and regions presented showed that it is possible to work in flexible and reflective teams from different habits, customs and traditions.

Introduction: Attention - Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADH) is one of the most frequently diagnosed childhood diseases. However, in public educational units, especially in the Pujilí canton, there is no proper training on the part of the teacher to detect this deficiency and carry out an English class with the appropriate methodology and didactic material. To describe the object of this research on ADHD, some previous studies were analysed to understand how we, as future teachers, can identify and work with students with this type of learners. Materials and methods: The data set was analysed from fourth grade students from the Belisario Quevedo Educative Unit parallel B and F, who were evaluated according to their behaviour, level comprehension of English and how they would like to learn. Results:The data shows that two tenth grade students were detected with ADHD because they presented difficulties in completing the tasks assigned in class. Discussion: In addition, based on the results obtained in the teacher survey, it can be highlighted that it is of the utmost importance that teachers have good management, distribution and control of the classroom. Conclusions: Finally, it was determined that the students evaluated did not perform sufficiently to achieve the skills and sub-skills in the English language, so they were placed at level A1. Therefore, teachers use the CLT method and games as an effective strategy for teaching English as a foreign language.

Introduction: The present investigation aims to analyze the incidence of socio-emotional factors in the student dropout rate of the ESPAM Leveling, from a qualitative point of view and not only quantitative, considering that this phenomenon should not focus only on figures and statistics, but also in the individual diagnosis of people with various problems. Materials and methods: With this intention, a descriptive methodological approach was proposed, which began from the bibliographic review, identifying the main causes that lead to the increase in dropout rates, through a situational diagnosis, which allowed the generation of an action plan to increase student retention levels. Results: The application of field research tools such as the semi-structured interview and the survey, allowed a real approach to the problem, identifying factors related to the social environment and family environment, academic status and university environment, and the emotional aspect; such as conflicting interpersonal relationships, non-vocation, economic reasons, lack of motivation and high level of stress; Therefore, it is evident that socio-emotional behavior is closely related to the probability of desertion. Discussion: The resignation or academic desertion is linked to the availability of hours of those who work, to the uncertainty of job placement once received and, in some cases, to psychological or emotional aspects (fear of tests). Conclusions: The most repetitive dropout factors in the Leveling of the Higher Polytechnic Agricultural School of Manabí, are mainly the economic situation and the lack of vocation or little vocational orientation, attributable to the great crisis that the country went through, especially in the period Pandemic and, to the limited existing academic offer.

Introduction: Education in the world has been transformed through different modalities of study. Due to the pandemic, the improvements incorporated into education have given way to an evolution, the impossibility of physical contact in the hybrid virtual distance study modality has led educational units to implement academic strategies that allow managing the development of the education in this modality. The objective of this research work was based on evaluating the academic strategies adopted in the hybrid virtual distance modality to propose improvements to the teaching-learning process. Materials and methods: In the development of the research, the deductive and analytical methods were used, through the deductive method the conclusions about the object of study were reached and with the analytical method it was possible to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the academic strategies. Results: Regarding the types of research, the bibliographic and exploratory research was used, the bibliographic research allowed to give theoretical support to the research work, likewise, the exploratory research allowed to study the object of study to understand it in a better way. Discussion: In addition, data collection instruments were applied that contributed to obtaining results, the techniques that were applied were the interview and the survey. Conclusions: The use of ICTs, the accompaniment and follow-up by the teacher through the platform, academic tutorials, synchronous and asynchronous classes; and, multimedia didactic resources are the most significant academic strategies adopted by the institution in this modality of study.

Introduction: This research is focused on Project-Based Learning and its incidence in the teaching-learning process of the Accounting subject for first-year high school students, whose objective is to analyze its incidence in the improvement of the teaching-learning process in the Accounting subject, and achieve the development of cognitive, entrepreneurial and innovative skills based on the competence of accounting subjects. Materials and methods: The methodology that was applied in the present is of a quantitative-qualitative level by which information was collected to be analyzed by statistical formulation with tables and graphs, the field method is determined in the pertinent observation to collect timely information, in addition to the application of surveys and interviews applied to students, teachers and managers. Results: An alternative proposal was also applied as an essential part of solving the problem, such as implementing a training workshop on Project-Based Learning for teachers, to provide them with timely and strategic knowledge of this methodology, and contribute to students. a better completeness on the accounting practices based on real cases of the current world. Discussion: The new generations of professionals and specialists in the different branches of Accounting should enable the development of critical and reflective thinking as a primary factor in the quality of education. Conclusions: The development of the training workshop constituted a support for the teaching body, in order to acquire the necessary skills for the application of the PBL, as part of the adaptations within their curricular meshes, and in addition to strengthening meaningful learning in students. with bases focused on the professional reality of Accounting.

Introduction: The objective is to analyze the relationship of the use of gamification with the teaching-learning process of the subjects in the students of the Educational Unit "Narciso Cerda Maldonado". Materials and methods: Based on the methodological criteria, it is of a descriptive level, under a bibliographic-documentary modality with the use of the methods: deductive, inductive and logical historical; The investigative process was carried out through the development of questionnaires through the application of an interview with the manager and surveys of teachers and students of the educational unit. Results: It was possible to determine that there is a great need to strengthen the teaching-learning processes through the implementation of a teacher training plan on gamification as an innovative educational strategy. Discussion: The teaching-learning process is the set of activities and strategies that are used to achieve the transmission of knowledge, skills and values from a teacher to a student. Conclusions: The proposal is timely because it allows to innovate the teaching-learning process, through play or games. For their part, the direct beneficiaries will be the students together with the teachers.

Introduction: This mixed-type study was carried out with the objective of asking professionals from entities that execute social public policy in the areas of social services, education, health and labor protection, about what professional competences a professional should have. Materials and methods: The methodological strategy was carried out through theoretical (qualitative) validation by experts of the information collection instrument, tabulation and statistical analysis of the responses (quantitative). Results: The main findings have allowed us to reach conclusions that will provide new perspectives to assume the university education of people who choose social careers. Discussion: There is an important variety of proposals on how to build professional competencies to include them in career projects in social disciplines, as such it would be necessary to make the corresponding efforts to reasonably create a group of standardized competencies to avoid generating efforts individuals that can be very different from each other. Conclusions: The universities face a challenge to build career programs that find key aspects in daily life and dynamics of social public policy, as a source of quality assurance of the career programs they offer.

Introduction: The process of artistic appreciation is instrumented in a methodology that favors the interdisciplinary approach by integrating the cognitive, affective and attitudinal contents of art with a totalizing character. Materials and methods: The declared methodology has the objective of promoting the development of the artistic appreciation process, through theoretical and practical knowledge to follow, with a flexible and dynamic character that allows the transfer of the artistic appreciation process, from the content as a way to promote the development of an artistic-aesthetic culture in these education professionals. Results: The methodology designed with an interdisciplinary approach constitutes an essential instrument for the didactic direction in the permanent formation of the Basic Secondary teacher through stages as an effective contribution to the solution of the detected problems, whose didactic value allows the gradual understanding and interpretation. Discussion: The process of artistic appreciation has an interrelated treatment not only within the area in which they are grouped, but also with the content of other disciplines to the extent that several of them contribute to developing the interpretative capacities of artistic appreciation. Conclusions: The validation carried out in the qualitative and quantitative order demonstrates the validity of the methodology for the appreciation process of the plastic arts and contributes to the solution of the detected insufficiencies and the need to apply the results.

Introduction: The presence of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the educational context has motivated the incorporation of new digital educational resources into teaching-learning. This requires updating the traditional methods and procedures of teaching and learning, which are ineffective in these circumstances. The University of Holguín, in compliance with its virtualization policy, trains teachers in the use of technologies, which favors their innovative attitude. Materials and methods: The integration of Learning Objects (LO), identified as a digital teaching medium, is an example of this; however, there are not enough theoretical-methodological references to facilitate its proper use. As a result of the investigative work of the authors and with the support of the pedagogical sciences, the methodological procedures for the didactic planning of the LOs are proposed. Results: These contemplate different stages: planning (self-preparation and analysis), design, development, implementation and evaluation. As a template to develop the OA, the eXeLearning author software is used, free of charge and easy to use for creators who are not programming specialists. Discussion: In the organization or design stage, the structure of the task that contains the LO is proposed to carry out the independent study. Conclusions: The usability evaluation is carried out from the opinions of student and teacher users. To this end, two instruments were applied based on the established criteria, which grant the status of teaching medium to the Learning Objects.

Introduction: The Social Community practice is elaborated to help the population that presents situations of vulnerability. Materials and methods: The age of the respondents shows that the population of Camarones is represented in a greater proportion by children and adolescents. Most of the child population is not cared for under the Child Development Center modality. Results: The results show that the majority of families in the Camarones parish have their own home. The coverage provided by Mies for care for the elderly, in gerontology services are scarce, since there is a large population in the parish that is not receiving this benefit. Discussion: The Social Work professional in any case should project their social diagnoses on substantial investigative processes where they should not limit themselves to knowing what happened; but rather to mark the ground on the bases on which the actions to be programmed as intervention proposals will be developed. Conclusions: The data reflects that the collection system is insufficient and does not cover the entire parish, which is why the community uses alternative means to dispose of garbage.
