Resumen
Briefly, this article presents the Unified Protocol for the Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders, a cognitive behavioral intervention of the third wave of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. It aims to identify the maladaptive emotional regulation strategies that people use and train them in acquiring new and more adaptive ones. Composed of eight modules, it has bibliographical guidance material for the therapist and the patient. Through the 8 modules of treatment people will be able to train 5 skills of emotional regulation: emotional awareness, cognitive flexibility, identification of emotional behaviors and proposal of alternative behaviors, interoceptive exposure and emotional exposure. It is an intervention whose effectiveness has been, and continues to be, proven in its multiple options and possibilities: as an individual or group intervention, face-to-face or online, in clinical or non-clinical contexts, either as a psychological intervention or as a health prevention strategy

Resumen
Unlike the other eight metropolitan regions (MRs) established in 1973, the MR of Rio de Janeiro was constituted separately, two years later, after the merger of the states of Rio de Janeiro and Guanabara. To examine the changes and adjustments in the technical discourse on Rio de Janeiro’s metropolization and its implications, we will focus on the work of geographer Lysia Bernardes in this article.

This process, which involved public and private initiatives, resulted in the unique character of this occupation and the link established with the metropolitan region.

Brazilian historiography on urban informality has moved towards a new locus of analysis, going beyond the traditional predominance of Rio de Janeiro’s favelas. In this scenario, we aim to investigate the genesis of the thought and the state action on favelas in Curitiba between 1946 and 1965, highlighting the influence of the Pan-American circuit for the diffusion of urban ideas.

Resumen
During the authoritarian developmentalist period (1964-1984), metropolitan regions were fundamental components of the territorial intergovernmental policies. During the democratic period, the Federal Constitution of 1988 handed up the urban management to the municipality, metropolitan management to the discretion and interest of each state, and the metropolitan issue lost importance. The text highlights the potential of the constitutional rule for reducing social and urban disparities in Brazilian metropolises today.
Keywords: metropolitan regions; urban development; metropolitan planning; urban Brazil.

Resumen
The article analyzes the Doxiadis plan, a master plan contracted by Carlos Lacerda in 1964 for the city of Rio de Janeiro. Its hiring articulated, in addition to the theorical issues of urban planning at the time, the political debate that had Lacerda as the center and the maintenance of the city’s aura as capital, which had lost its status of federal district for Brasilia years before.
Keywords: urban history; Rio de Janeiro; urban planning.
