Resumen
This research raised the question of whether the CUJAE is worthy of the status of National Monument of the Republic of Cuba, and had the objective of identifying its values, as part of modern Cuban architecture. By applying the logical- historical method, the starting point was a documentary analysis, supported by field work, and consultation of the provisions of current legislation. As a result, the history of the property is reconstructed, and its values are substantiated, defining the degree of authenticity and integrity in the preservation of the attributes that characterize it. The above is complemented by a comparative analysis with similar works, and recommendations for its management. The results show that the CUJAE is an emblematic work of Cuban architecture of the second half of the 20th century and it is concluded that it deserves the status of National Monument.

Resumen
Objective: Analyzing the process of the bacanora’s gourmetization in Hermosillo, Sonora, to demonstrate it is not merely a sales strategy, but also the economic and cultural practices within globalization for demarcating identities through consumption. Methodology: The exploratory study was conducted through interviews with 12 restaurant managers in Hermosillo and 15 bacanora women producers. Participant observation was also used. Results: Gourmetization forces producers to change the flavor, the presentation, and distribution methods to adapt to the taste demands of new consumers. Value: This work is significant due to the growing consumption of bacanora and concludes by showing that producers are faced with the dilemma of preserving their traditions or satisfying new markets’ taste. Limitations: The sample is small and the results are not generalizable Conclusions: Gourmetization is a challenge for the women producers, particularly for those who have established a connection between the preservation of this traditional drink and the maintenance of its specific flavor.

Resumen
Objective: Analyzing the management of agricultural land and irrigation water historical transformations in the La Parada-Justino-Bocas river basin and their social impacts at north of Mexquitic, San Luis Potosí. Methodology: Ethnographic work, bibliographic review, and archive consultation with a political ecology approach for the processual analysis. Results: Four key periods that affected the access and management of resources were examined: 1) the Tlaxcalan founding of Mexquitic and the dispossession of communal resources by hacendados to maximize their corporate interests (1591-1900); 2) the haciendas La Parada and San José del Corte dismantling for agrarian distribution (1900-1929); 3) the ejidal agricultural bonanza with resources overexploitation for commercialization (1930-1976); 4) the worsening drought in parallel with neoliberal reforms with uncertain impacts (1977-2023). Value: The analysis explains the settlement and the use of resources in a place in the Potosino plateau. Limitations: The study generalizes and synthesizes more complex historical periods. Conclusions: Persistence of unequal power relations. Local and external family elites have monopolized and overexploited resources and subordinate people throughout different historical periods.

Resumen
Objective: Assessing whether the Seri-Comcaac Justice Plan, in its first phase (2022-2023), incorporated intercultural characteristics. Methodology: It is based on two key concepts: Catherine Walsh's (2007) dialogue framework and Alicia Barabas's (2014) intercultural communication. Testimonies were gathered from Seri residents, authorities, and officials associated with the plan. Results: Internal political divisions among the Seri complicate the full implementation of the justice plan. Value: This analysis is an opportunity to establish new methodological criteria for implementing the justice plan. Limitations: The research is limited to the village of Punta Chueca. Conclusions: The Seri Justice Plan has partially fulfilled its aim for historical justice on key issues such as water, territory, and culture. However, it has been weak in other areas due to a lack of regulations to solidify them and attributable to the complexity of internal political differences that hinder its complete implementation.

Objective: To analyze the role of Abelardo L. Rodríguez in the emergence and configuration of the Mexican developmentalist State in the 20th century. Methodology: Historical review based on primary and secondary sources, focused on the origins of the Mexican developmentalist model and Rodriguez's contributions to this process. Results: The financial viability and the creation of an administrative platform, composed of public agencies, state enterprises, and regulatory frameworks, were identified as key factors that facilitated Mexican industrialization in the 20th century. Value: To emphasize the decisive role of A. L. Rodriguez in the structuring of the Mexican developmentalist model, particularly in the state organization oriented to industrial development. Limitations: Neither subsequent trajectories nor effective operativity of the developmentalist project were addressed. Conclusions: During A. L. Resumen
Objective: Analyzing the sociocultural appreciation of mesquite in Jalpa and San Antonio del Jaral, two rural communities in southeastern Coahuila, by identifying the meanings associated with this natural resource. Methodology: The theoretical perspective of social representations and the Natural Semantic Network technique were used to elicit the meanings constructed by the participants. Results: The sociocultural appreciation observed is oriented toward a utilitarian view of mesquite, specifically to produce firewood, fodder, and food. However, a decline in its human consumption was noted, especially among younger generations. Value: The study offers an interpretation of the sociocultural meanings of mesquite from an innovative theoretical and methodological perspective. Limitations: This is an exploratory study, spatially limited to a specific region of México. Conclusions: The use of mesquite for human consumption is a sustainable and culturally significant alternative, and its recovery as a food resource could benefit these communities in the face of current socioeconomic and environmental changes.

Resumen
Objective: To analyze work stress, coping strategies, and work-life balance dimensions among hotel staff in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Methodology: The phenomenological qualitative approach is used and 24 interviews were conducted. The data were analyzed using ATLAS.ti to identify thematic networks and response patterns. Results: The main stressors include work overload, staff shortages, operational conflicts, and emotional demands associated with customer interactions. Value: The need to implement organizational strategies to improve working conditions in the hospitality industry is evident. Limitations: The inability to generalize the results due to the sample size and the lack of psychosocial dimensions in the analysis. Conclusions: Staff employ individual stress-management strategies, which are insufficient due to the absence of organizational support. Work demands create an imbalance between professional and personal life, affecting participants’ well-being by reducing their rest periods.

Resumen
Objective: To analyze the interrelation between the urbanization and the control of stray dogs in Baja California during the second half of the 20th century. Methodology: Documental review of specialized literature, official documents, and historical testimonies on binational health actions and their influence on public health. Results: Urban modernization was accompanied by mass vaccination and the elimination of stray dogs, yet these policies provoked tensions between urban development and public health. It is, highlighted the persistence of rabies due to a lack of regulation and effective collaboration. Value: The historical analysis offers insights into the interactions between urbanization, public health, and social dynamics, showing the local and binational policies repercussion on the management of zoonotic diseases. Limitations: The focus circumscribes to Baja California not allowing the generalizability of the findings to other Latin American contexts. Conclusions: The fight against rabies reflected flashes of modernity amid uneven urbanization. Although public health policies achieved some progress, the complexity of human-animal interactions underscored the public policies need for reformulation based on comprehensive and sustainable approaches.
