UNESCO has celebrated for more than fifty years the International Conference on Adult Education, also known as CONFINTEAS. Since 1949, between ten- and thirteen-years interval, the conferences express the “concerns” that have been on the world agenda in the adult education. This article analyzes the changes in the integration of the non-governmental sector with the statal sector and the new role of the non-governmental sector. Points of connection with the policies implemented in Argentina are also suggested.

Resumen
This article aims to investigate how political violence was conceptualized within the Argentine Trotskyist organizations of the 1960s. The influence of the Cuban Revolution, the growth of foquismo (theory of guerrilla warfare) and the crisis of the political regime impacted on their debates regarding the relation between violence and the development of a political strategy. We will analyze the positions towards armed struggle developed by the different organizations belonging to the field of Trotskyism concerning three aspects: the actions carried out, the controversies between various groups and the tensions and internal debates that led to crisis or splits from within and towards Trotskyism.

Resumen
During the first decades of the 20th century, the supply of paper for the printing industries in Mexico became a problematic issue. Production difficulties, price increases and poor distribution during the monopoly of the San Rafael factory started a deep debate on the modernization and interference of the State in the paper industry. This article analyzes the transition between the private monopoly and the creation of the public company, Productora e Importadora de Papel Sociedad Anónima (PIPSA) in 1935, during the government of Lázaro Cárdenas (1934-1940). Through parliamentary debates, press articles and ministerial reports, the questioning of the monopoly as a public policy, the birth of PIPSA and the results in its first years of operation will be explained.

Resumen
This research analyses how the identity of the Europeans of the islands of Macaronesia (Azores, Madeira, Canary Islands and Cape Verde) was formed during the period of the Iberian Union with the aim of characterizing the traits of the island society. The fluid contacts between the islands and their oceanic environment strengthened among the islanders an attachment to the same island region made up of a population of extra-peninsular origin whose nexus was the Atlantic. This paper, which starts from the nesological approach to define the Macaronesian insular environment, supports the analysis in a broader geographic and methodological context: The Atlantic History. This study examines the principles of this discipline in relation to islands to apply its theoretical and conceptual framework to intrinsic territories in this ocean.

Resumen
The main aim of this article is to analyze income poverty in the coal industry between 1932 and 1960. The methodological approach proposed by the ECLAC - the food share method - is used to study the real value of the labor force. Our results show that real income in the coal industry rose, but failed to reach the poverty line, except for 1951-1953. The increment of the early 1950s took place during a national inflationary crisis and was the consequence of the workers movement of the late 1940s. In relative terms, there was a structural concordance between the real and comparative value of the labor force and the situation of paternalism and social control shown in the literature.

Resumen
At the end of the 19th century, various business entities pressed the Chilean State to advance in higher levels of food independence, to maintain the economic progress derived from the nitrate economy. The business groups pointed to a massive concession of public land for the installation of cattle, and one of the areas indicated was the Province of Llanquihue. Using preferentially official documents and publications of business groups, this article aims to delve into both the arguments used by national business groups to carry out livestock concessions and the legal strategies used by the State to implement them, indicating, likewise, the reaction and accommodation of local people to the concessions.

Resumen
In this article, we propose to study the origins of anarchism in Bolivia considering the processes of diffusion and ideological reception, with special emphasis on the regional way of circulation developed between this country and Chile during the first decades of the twentieth century. Based on an extensive documentary corpus, we will reveal the common channels of circulation and spaces of belonging that this movement shared with other political currents at the time of its late emergence, characterized by the porosity and indefinition of both geographical and ideological borders.

ABSTRACT
The grieving process in the face of the loss of a loved one is a complex phenomenon. Various theorizations have been proposed to explain it. To understand them it is necessary to place oneself above the systematic, the logical order pre-established by reason. Failure to do so can simplify the understanding of the experiences of the bereaved, who have lost a loved one. This article proposes to review Elisabeth Kübler-Ross's theory of mourning based on Ludwig Wittgenstein's conception of language. The conjunction thanatology and philosophy will allow a deep understanding of the complexity involved in the pain before the death of someone you love.KEYWORDS: COMPLEXITY, MOURNERS, GRIEF, LANGUAGE.

Resumen
It is commonplace to consider Voltaire as an opponent of Castel de Saint‒Pierre’s theories and one of the main responsible for the reception of his image as that of a defender of impractical ideas, in particular his project of permanent peace between nations. The aim of this article is to show that, in any case, the assessment of the abbé’s writings is less simple than what can be expected at first. The paper seeks to highlight the displacements and twists that Castel de Saint Pierre’s figure undergoes in the writings of the French philosopher, especially from the 1950s onwards, when he revalues some aspects of his work. On the other hand, the text sheds some light on what could be considered Voltaire’s own peace project.
