This research is an investigation into digital male communities, especially the Dogolachan forum, and its interfaces with the series Adolescence (Netflix, 2025). With the background of the community of involuntary celibates (INCELS), the text presents a bibliographic review in the field of masculinities regarding INCELS classifications and seeks to understand the process of radicalization of masculinities and the tone of hatred towards women disseminated and multiplied in digital environments. Finally, the research offers a more precise delimitation of the characterizations of masculinities in the digital field between INCELS and Redpills and explores their structural similarities arising from a common feeling whose response is violence.

Contextualization: Fraternity is one of the key concepts in the ethical horizon of modernity, with the first article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) as the landmark of its universal adherence. In Brazil, fraternity appears in the preamble of the 1988 Federal Constitution. Goal: This article aims, with a conceptual investigation based on the Aristotle’s four causes theory, to clarify the concept of fraternity through its insertion within a conceptual network composed of the concepts of alterity, recognition, golden rule and community, which correspond respectively to its material, efficient, formal and final cause. Method: By decomposing the concept of fraternity into its main constituent elements (“causes”), it is possible to conclude the necessity of a “circular” analysis, because those elements cannot be defined independently. Results: Thus, adopting the aforementioned circular analysis model, alterity, recognition, golden rule and community are mutually referent: each of the four concepts can only be fully grasped in the light of the other three. Conclusions: In this sense, fraternity exists when there is reciprocal recognition (community) of human beings as people (alterity), according to a procedure of practical reason known as the golden rule.

Background: This article investigates whether the philosophical perspectives adopted by Aristotle and Clive Staples Lewis, regarding friendship and its impact on Man's insertion into the political community, have been discussed in the scholastic world. Aristotle, in Nicomachean Ethics, and C. S. Lewis, in The Four Loves, saw friendship as an important factor for human flourishing and highlighted, with different approaches, its relationship with Man's insertion into the political community. Aristotle emphasized the value of friendship for social cohesion. C. S. Lewis, on the other hand, highlighted its disaggregating potential, since friendship selects and excludes. Objective: To investigate whether and to what extent the discussion between the philosophical perspectives adopted by Aristotle and C. S. Lewis, regarding friendship and its impact on Man's insertion into the political community, has been carried out in the scholastic world, as well as to gather and summarize the existing evidence and to identify gaps. Method: This is a systematic review of the literature in the main academic databases, without date or language restrictions, supported by the Systematic Search Flow method. Results: The documentary evidence derived from the systematic literature review reveals that: (i) pieces of research discuss friendship and democracy without, however, establishing a correlation between philosophers, nor a confrontation between their ideas; (ii) friendship is often observed in the dimension of interpersonal relationships; (iii) Brazil is not among the countries that research the intersection between friendship and democracy from a philosophical perspective. The results show that the discussions held in the scholastic world do not approach, except in a very indirect way, the philosophical perspectives adopted by Aristotle and C. S. Lewis, with regard to friendship and its reflection on the insertion of Man in the political community. Such gaps open space for future research in Brazil and worldwide, while fulfilling the purpose of stimulating ethical-political reflection of greater richness and judiciousness in future research.

Objective: This article aims to critically analyze the use of the technique of interpretation in conformity with the Constitution in the joint judgment of Direct Actions of Unconstitutionality 6.298, 6.299, 6.300, and 6.305 by the Federal Supreme Court, exploring how this technique was employed and the impacts of its application on the justification of judicial decisions. Method: To achieve the proposed objective, the article presents the assumptions for the existence of interpretation in conformity with the Constitution, according to traditional doctrine and the jurisprudence of the Federal Supreme Court. Additionally, it examines the limits of the technique and the emergence of manipulative decisions, using cases and doctrine. That is, a deductive approach methodology is used as the basis, starting from a bibliographic analysis. Originality/Relevance: The originality of this study lies in the analysis of the distinction between interpretation in conformity with the Constitution and manipulative decisions, showing how the indistinct use of these techniques can compromise the justification and transparency of judicial decisions, bringing significant implications for the practice of constitutional review in Brazil. Results: The article demonstrates that the violation of the assumptions and limits of interpretation in conformity with the Constitution leads to the adoption of manipulative decisions, which not only modify the meaning of legislative statements but also create problematic scenarios regarding the justification and legitimacy of judicial decisions. Theoretical contributions: This study contributes to the debate on the need for greater clarity and rigor in the application of interpretation in conformity with the Constitution, proposing an approach that prioritizes transparency and dialogue in the justification of decisions, avoiding decision-making fungibility and allowing more effective social scrutiny of judicial practices.

Contextualization: The Law and Literature Movement, initiated in the USA in 1973, sought to integrate the two fields in pursuit of a more critical education. The journal Cardozo Studies in Law and Literature, founded in 1989, established itself as an essential platform for the development of this movement, promoting debates on the intersection of law and literature. Objective: This paper aims to investigate the main discussions present in the journal during its first seven years of publication (1989-1995), classifying them into the categories proposed by Peters (2005) — Humanist Project, Hermeneutic Project, and Narrativist Project — while proposing the inclusion of a new category, the Ethical-Legal Project. Method: The study utilized a qualitative methodology through bibliographic analysis. All papers from the 1989-1995 period were accessed and classified according to Peters’ (2005) categories, and contributions justifying the creation of a new category, the Ethical-Legal Project, were identified. Results: The results indicate that the papers under the Humanist Project emphasize the potential of literature to critique and humanize law. The Hermeneutic Project addresses legal interpretation with a focus on rhetoric and semiotics, while the Narrativist Project values the narratives of marginalized voices. The Ethical-Legal Project explores the responsibility of intellectuals and artists in contexts of censorship and power. Conclusions: The research contributes to a better understanding of the different approaches within the Law and Literature Movement, highlighting the relevance of Cardozo Studies in Law and Literature in promoting interdisciplinary debates. The inclusion of the new category, the Ethical-Legal Project, expands the analytical perspectives in the field.

Context: The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has led to their integration into various sectors, including autonomous systems. This integration has raised numerous legal and ethical challenges, particularly concerning civil liability for damages resulting from the actions of such machines. The "machine guard"—the individual responsible for supervising and controlling the machine—represents a central figure in these legal concerns. Objective: This study aims to examine the impact of artificial intelligence on the civil liability rules applicable to the machine guard, by clarifying the roles and responsibilities of individuals overseeing intelligent machines and assessing the applicability of traditional legal doctrines to situations in which machines make autonomous decisions. Methodology: The research adopts a critical analytical approach by reviewing conventional civil liability rules and comparing them to the emerging legal realities imposed by AI technologies. It also relies on hypothetical scenarios and comparative legal models where appropriate. Results: The study concludes that traditional rules of civil liability, including those governing the role of the machine guard, are insufficient to address the legal issues arising from decisions made by AI systems. These rules are based on the assumption of direct human intervention, which is often absent in many AI applications. Therefore, there is an urgent need to either reform existing legal rules or establish new legal frameworks that accommodate the complexities of modern technology while maintaining a fair balance between innovation and accountability.

Contextualization: From the perspective of Law & Economics, it is observed that the State can intervene in the field of economic activity through a rule of induction to stimulate behavior of a certain activity, and the inductive structure established by law must be implemented by the Public Administration, in order to comply with the principle of legality. Furthermore, based on the lessons of behavioral economics, it is understood that a rule of induction aims to eliminate cognitive biases and heuristics without imposing coercion or sanctions, but rather to stimulate behavior in favor of free initiative. Objective: Analyze whether the tacit approval incorporated in the Economic Freedom Law as an instrument to possibly compose the procedure for releasing activities can be considered a standard for inducing efficient conduct. Methodology: Deductive method from the perspective of Law & Economics. Contributions: Tacit approval is part of the structure that induces efficient behavior by removing cognitive biases and heuristics, from the perspective of free initiative. The inducing structure adopted in the Economic Freedom Act aims to speed up administrative procedures and encourage efficient behavior in their execution, including promoting the appropriate allocation of resources to meet deadlines by the Administration involved in the procedure for releasing private activity.
