Resumen
This study presents a computational model of an electromagnetic cannon developed using the ATP/EMTP simulation tool and its graphical interface, ATPDraw. The system features a cylindrical metallic armature that traverses multiple stages of circular coils. Employing the Voltage Behind Reactance (VBR) methodology, each coil is modeled as a dynamic equivalent circuit comprising a resistance, an inductance, and an electromotive force source. The model parameters are dynamically updated at each simulation time step based on the armature’s motion. The coils are energized by pre-charged capacitors and connected through thyristors, which are triggered at specific positions of the moving armature. The model’s validity is corroborated by experimental data reported in the literature, confirming the accuracy and robustness of the proposed approach. In addition to supporting the design of electromagnetic cannons, this work provides a methodological foundation for future research and practical applications in this domain.

Resumen
This article examines the intersection of residential economics and the implementation of alternative energy sources, particularly photovoltaic systems, in the context of sustainable development. As Ecuador faces challenges in energy supply and increasing energy demands, the adoption of renewable energies presents a viable solution. This study emphasizes the significance of regulations, such as REGULATION Nro. ARCONEL-005/24, which promote the efficient use of renewable resources. The integration of photovoltaic systems not only enhances energy independence but also contributes to environmental sustainability. By analyzing the economic implications of adopting these technologies, this research aims to provide insights into how photovoltaic systems can transform residential energy consumption, ultimately fostering a more sustainable and resilient energy matrix

Resumen
This study analyzes the influence of educational policies on the resolution of disciplinary conflicts. Using a qualitative approach and administering Likert-type surveys to the entire group of 23 students, students' perceptions regarding the existence of conflicts in the classroom, the implementation of institutional rules, and their level of knowledge about disciplinary sanctions were assessed. The results indicate that a significant proportion of students perceive problems with coexistence, while also recognizing the importance of having clear and reliable policies. However, a high degree of neutrality regarding the application of disciplinary actions is evident, suggesting a lack of awareness or unclear instructions. Despite this, a predominantly positive attitude toward strengthening school coexistence and the need to improve conflict resolution mechanisms is evident.

Resumen
Relapse among drug-dependent patients is a complex and multifaceted problem that affects people worldwide, influenced by various factors associated with the reintegration of behavioral consumption patterns. This research aims to analyze the influence of the social environment on the relapse of drug-dependent individuals receiving treatment at the CETAD “Solo por la Gracia de Dios,” located in Quevedo, Los Ríos Province. The study adopts a quantitative, non-experimental, and descriptive approach, allowing for the precise collection of statistical data on the variables involved. Data collection utilized psychometric techniques and instruments, including surveys and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, which facilitate the evaluation and interpretation of the social environment’s impact on relapse. The sample consisted of 50 male patients in residential treatment, of whom 70% are single, 10% married, 10% in a common-law relationship, and the remaining 10% separated. Regarding educational level, 50% completed secondary education, 40% primary education, and 10% hold a technologist degree.

Resumen
This article aims to analyze the relationship between delinquent behaviors in adolescents and the specific factors of their social and school environment. The research was conducted under a non-experimental, correlational design, using the AD Antisocial and Delinquent Behavior Questionnaire and the Risk Factors for Delinquent Behavior Questionnaire as instruments for data collection. The sample consisted of first and second high school students, ranging from 13 to 18 years of age. The results show a significant association between a dysfunctional family environment, lack of parental supervision, weak institutional support, school dropout, and the influence of peers involved in unlawful activities, and the initiation of delinquent behavior in teenagers. Furthermore, the debilitated social context, marked by violence and inequality of opportunities, provides a favorable framework for the appearance and perpetuation of delinquent behaviors during adolescence. It is therefore concluded that implementing prevention and intervention programs in both school and community settings is crucial. These programs should aim to strengthen support networks, foster social skills and resiliency in young people, and involve the family in the process of preventing delinquent behaviors.

Resumen
This article analyzes the influence of family and social context on the learning difficulties of students in Basic General Education (EGB) at the Jorge Washington Educational Unit. The research assumes that a student's immediate environment significantly influences their academic performance, especially when it is marked by factors such as family disintegration, low parental educational level, lack of communication, domestic violence, and economic limitations. According to González et al. (2023), early childhood education is closely linked to family parenting style and should promote personal, academic, and social development equitably. A mixed-method (qualitative and quantitative) approach was adopted, which included direct observation, teacher interviews, and parent surveys, allowing for the identification of patterns in behavior and academic performance related to family and social environment.

Resumen
This study investigates the impact of a sports program on improving the physical fitness of children with intellectual disabilities. Four key components were assessed: walking speed, explosive strength, endurance, and flexibility. A pretest and posttest were conducted to measure each of these aspects before and after the intervention. The program included various physical activities tailored to the needs of the participants, with the aim of promoting their physical development and motor skills. Measurements were made using standardized tests, including the sprint test (5m x 5rpt), the free-fall long jump, the Cooper test for endurance, and the trunk flexion test for flexibility. The results obtained in the study on the impact of sports activities on the physical fitness of children with intellectual disabilities reveal significant improvements in four key areas: walking speed, explosive strength, endurance, and flexibility. In terms of walking speed, the study concludes that the implementation of adapted sports activities not only improves the physical fitness of children with intellectual disabilities but also contributes to their emotional and social well-being.

Resumen
This study proposes a pedagogical strategy for the development of research skills in students of the Physical Activity and Sports Pedagogy degree. The methodological approach was action research, given its cyclical and collaborative nature, oriented towards the resolution of practical problems and the generation of situated knowledge. The participants were 267 students from the course in the academic period September 2023-February 2024. An ad hoc questionnaire was used, with a Cronbach's alpha = 0.85; which reflected that the instrument had good internal consistency of the results. The results identified significant differences in key indicators, such as the State of the Art Review, Construction and Validation of Models, and Mastery of Data Analysis Techniques.

Resumen
This article presents results from research conducted between September 2024 and March 2025, with an exploratory, descriptive, and correlational character under a mixed approach. To fulfill the objectives, empirical and theoretical methods of scientific research were employed, aimed at collecting and analyzing information. Among the most relevant results is the diagnosis of scientific production by faculty members of the Physical Activity and Sports Pedagogy Program during the studied period, as well as an action system designed based on the needs identified in this teaching collective. The conclusions demonstrate the need to implement alternatives that strengthen faculty actions to increase the quantity and quality of their scientific production. The relevance of the study is based on the importance of scientific production for the three substantive functions of university teachers: academic, research, and social engagement.
