Resumen
The author analyzes the work El Siglo (20212023) presented in the collective art exhibition Ecolocalidades, inaugurated at the Centro de Investigación de la Fotografía (CIF) at the Universidad de las Artes de Guayaquil, in August 2023. This exhibition was part of the international meeting Locality and technodiversity. Towards artistically and ecologically smart territories, whose activities were produced by the research project NEST (Network Ecologically Smart Territories), and brought together the work of several artists from Ecuador and Latin America. The author develops her analysis by focusing on certain notions that guide the activities carried out by the NEST project, as well as on the idea developed by Bernard Stiegler that the history of memory is specifically a history of the conservation of memory techniques that function in a present different from the one to which they belong. Additionally, the author draws on the curatorial concepts of the exhibition Memories of the Future. Libraries and technologies launched in 1987 by the French philosopher, to expand on the ideas of fragmentary rewriting or collage of disaffected remnants of the past and of memory technique, present in the work El Siglo.

Resumen
The film A Fantastic Woman depicts three days in the life of a transgender woman who has just lost her male partner. Throughout its development, the film unfolds as a dialectic between urban scenes shaped by the selection and cinematic treatment of its locations and the protagonist's transformations and struggles. The purpose of this research, undertaken through a descriptive film analysis and a correlational study of the locations, is to identify and describe these relationships between space and the subject’s transformations. Over the course of the film, the character achieves a profound consolidation of her identity, within a spatial organization described as a succession of transitions and thresholds, highlighting how the latter, as moments of intense transformation, occur mainly in underground spaces. Through this spatial construction, which moves away from the conventional tropes of the filmed city, the fusion of representations and locations becomes evident in narrating Marina’s evolution toward a more universal identity—one that transcends the heterosexual matrix, opposes glamorous visions of transsexual, and embraces behaviors spanning multiple genders and even species. This exercise unfolds in a dual relationship with spatiality: first, in the handling of locations and the topological construction to be described; and second, in how the filmic choices produce a highly empathetic perception of the protagonist and her experience of space.

Resumen
With the rise to power of the German National Socialists, cultural and artistic activities were threatened. The Bauhaus school was raided on two of its campuses: Dessau and Berlin; During this historical period the art scene community, be it painters, sculptors, architects, photographers, etc., dispersed throughout Europe, then to other parts of the globe. After the Second World War; Otto Steinert takes on the task of launching the ideal of reborn German photography from the ashes of the war conflict and positioning his country as the spearhead of creative activity through the use of a camera as a recreational and creative tool. To do this, look at the photographic activity that took place at the Bauhaus, at the postulates of MoholyNagy, at the work that Peterhans had as a photography teacher. As well as the influences that Teutonic photography had from the avantgarde of the early 20th century. With this, he presents a program of photographic creation that Steinert calls absolute, which acquires the character of formula and method, on which all the great photographers who were involved in this movement of subjective photography, which until today, would be based. Today it has an impact not only on European photography, but its concepts have an impact in Latin America in the way of conceiving photography as a utilitarian, artistic and design tool.

Resumen
The text pays tribute to the career of Brazilian composer Marlos Nobre (1939-2024), through his contribution to Latin American academic music. Different aspects in which his work stood out, his formation and international consolidation are examined. The syncretism between the avantgarde of the 20th century and traditional Brazilian rhythms is highlighted. An analytical musicological approach is adopted, based on documentary review and critical analysis of Nobre's compositional production. Relevant bibliographical sources are contrasted with the analysis of his music, which was divided into five stylistic periods by the composer. The relationship of his work with the sociocultural context, his influence on Latin American music and his role as a cultural manager are examined. It is shown that Marlos Nobre's work is characterized by the integration of traditional Brazilian rhythms, such as frevo, forró, maracatú, It is expressed that there was a compositional transformation from nationalism to an aesthetic of its own, balanced between the academic and the popular. among others, with avantgarde techniques such as polytonality, atonalism and timbre exploration. It is concluded that Nobre left a work with its own identity, comparable in importance to that of VillaLobos and Ginastera, being an essential reference in the music of the 20th and 21st century.

Resumen
On the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the work The Thaumaturgical Kings (1924) and the 80th anniversary of Marc Bloch's assassination by the Gestapo in 1944, we focus this note not only on the high significance of these dates, but also to commemorate the presence of Bloch's historiographic personality among us from the personal experience of 1986, on the occasion of Bloch's birth centenary, since both in Caracas and in Barquisimeto (Venezuela) academic events were held to revalue the intellectual heritage of this Frenchman of Jewish origin who, in a short time, 57 years of life, carried out an intellectual work that placed the scientificity of knowledge at a high level. This is a task of inestimable value, even today in the 21st century. His historiographic legacy is also a legacy of episteme and techniques of historical research of universal scope.

Resumen
Carabobo is not only the site of one of the main SpanishAmerican battles for Independence. Depending on the interpretation we make of this event, from military history to political history, passing through social history, in addition to being a war event, Carabobo has been the privileged source of our Patriotic History and the matrix of our historical caudillismo. Therefore, beyond the historical romanticism that still dominates the approach to any event related to the War of Independence, our purpose is to take advantage of the commemoration of this event, to try other readings aimed at investigating a process of longer duration, such as the formation of the Venezuelan State and the construction of our idea of Nation, as an imagined political community.

Resumen
The Libros Imposibles Collection is the creation of two poets, Floriano Martins (Brazil) and Juana M. Ramos (El Salvador). What makes a book to be considered impossible is not only its unrealizable condition, in this case in editorial terms, but its incredible character, an extraordinary object. The collection seeks to address both aspects: books that for some reason did not find a publisher, along with those that, despite their importance, did not receive the diffusion they deserved, in addition to some anthologies that were gathered for this occasion. There are books of different genres: poems, prose, novels, essays, interviews, and even a special feature: the inclusion of books written jointly.
