This paper examines the relationship between the crisis of the international liberalorder and recent challenges faced by national democracies. As suggested by analystsof such crisis, one of the ways to explain it is through the articulation between twolevels (the domestic one, where the risks to democracy arise) and the internationalone (where the current order was formed based on liberal principles formulatedat the beginning of the 20th century). In this sense, the article argues that part ofthe problems of the contemporary international order are not dissociated from thechallenges imposed on liberal democracies.

With the growth of cities, characteristics such as urban mobility and accessibility to public equipment have become major challenges for public administration to reach the levels of intelligent and sustainable cities, or smart cities. Smart cities are able to align technological advances with social and environmental progress, through the strategic use of technology. This study focuses on the challenges faced by the population of the city of Garanhuns, a city 230 km from Recife, capital of Pernambuco, and aimed to develop a low code application so that, in a collaborative way, users can assist in evaluating the accessibility of public facilities such as bus stops, health units and tourist attractions in the city. Arcgis Experience Builder and Survey 123 from the Arcgis platform were used as development tools, which allow creating applications with low programming code, providing geographic intelligence resources. The application specified accessibility levels ranging from 1 to 5 (very poor to excellent, respectively) depending on the items present in each location, such as access ramp, lighting, sidewalk conditions, parking for people with disabilities, covered areas, pedestrian crossings. , etc. After the evaluation, the user can also have access to the accessibility results of the locations that were evaluated. This work is expected to contribute to informing users about the level of accessibility of these places in the city, in addition to providing a better understanding of the population's needs and directing public policies aimed at promoting equality and quality of life for all citizens.

Alcohol addiction has increasingly emerged as a significant concern in global health, with current methods of prediction and classification revealing certain limitations. The principal objective of this study was to deepen the understanding of predicting and classifying alcohol addiction levels by employing the Naïve Bayes Algorithm and K-means Clustering. Through a thorough survey, data from 500 participants were collected, shedding light on factors such as the frequency of alcohol consumption and associated negative impacts. The methodology utilized the Naïve Bayes Algorithm, registering a notable accuracy of 95%, precision of 93%, recall of 97%, and an F1 Score of 95%. Concurrently, the K-means Clustering method effectively delineated three distinct levels of addiction: less addicted, mildly addicted, and highly addicted. When juxtaposed with existing literature and methodologies, the study's approach showcases superior accuracy and a refined classification system, offering a potent tool for healthcare practitioners to identify and address alcohol addiction. Potential avenues for future exploration include integrating varied algorithms and probing into other facets of addiction.

This study looks into the relationship between gender expression congruence, self-esteem, and academic engagement among third-year Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) students at Cavite State University - Carmona Campus. Gender Expression Congruence is the alignment of an individual's gender identification with their external expression, which is important for self-esteem, especially in transgender and gender nonconforming people. The study used a descriptive-correlational approach, with surveys administered to a sample of 165 students. The study discovered that higher levels of gender expression congruence are associated with higher self-esteem, which is substantially related to increased academic engagement. The findings highlight the necessity of encouraging true gender expression in order to boost students' self-esteem and academic participation, resulting in a more inclusive educational environment. These findings show that educational institutions should consider gender expression support as a means of increasing student engagement and well-being.

With heightened competition within the smartphone industry, especially in China, coupled with increasing consumer expectations, understanding the factors influencing brand loyalty is crucial for both academia and industry. This study investigates the nuanced relationship between product innovation and brand loyalty within the dynamic context of smartphone products. The study adopts a quantitative approach, incorporating a survey among 385 smartphone users from China. The findings revealed that the features influencing smartphone preferences among respondents include wireless charging features, superior camera capabilities, and performance to name a few. In addition, respondents express favorable views on product innovation dimensions that include appearance and design; quality and durability; functional innovation; and features of the smartphones they own at the time of the study. In terms of the association between brand loyalty and socio-demographic characteristics, results showed that gender, age groups, education level, income level, and employment status emerged as factors in shaping brand loyalty within the smartphone market among Chinese owners. However, contrary to expectations, the study found no significant relationship between perceived product innovation dimensions (Appearance and Design, Quality and Durability, Functions, and Features) and brand loyalty. To thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of the smartphone industry, Chinese businesses must adopt strategic approaches that will promote brand loyalty among their target market. Even though product innovation does not directly lead to brand loyalty, the business should continue innovating to ensure that customers will purchase their products, and then elevate other possible factors that will lead to brand loyalty.

Educators have been driven to embrace new technological platforms and tools to improve teaching and learning experiences by the rise of flexible learning. This study delves into the ways in which secondary school teachers from the DepEd in the Philippines utilize different types of internet access, gadgets, data plans, and social media platforms. To collect data from a convenience sample of teachers, an online survey was distributed using a quantitative approach. The purpose of the research was to determine whether and to what extent these technical aspects affect the efficacy and contentment of flexible teaching. The results showed that video conferencing platforms and learning management systems (LMS) are crucial, with video conferencing tools coming in second and LMS exhibiting the highest utilization. The most popular device is now a mobile phone, and the most popular operating system is Android. Although a large number of users enjoy consistently fast internet, a significant portion continues to deal with unreliable and sluggish connections. Among the most popular social media platforms for education, Facebook Messenger has the support of the majority of respondents and offers unlimited data rates. Results show that learning management systems (LMS) and video conferencing tools are critical, point to places where other technologies might be better integrated, and stress the influence that poor internet quality has on the effectiveness of instruction. This study helps fill gaps in the knowledge of the technology landscape in online and hybrid classrooms and offers suggestions for improving teaching methods. It would be beneficial for future studies to investigate how these technological aspects relate to particular results in terms of instructional efficacy and student involvement.

Fueling the government’s operation, taxes are considered bread and butter – a necessity and an essential lifeblood. Without taxes, the government will not exist and will never have a driving force to execute its function of providing public service and securing the nation. This study intends to obtain the taxpayers’ perspective on taxation and national security. This assesses the tax understanding and awareness of the participants, their concept of national security, their view on the role of taxes in safekeeping the nation, and their notion how efficient the government is in addressing threats considering the utilization of the national fund. The results highlight that taxpayers have a good understanding and high tax awareness. They comprehend the benefits of taxation and are mindful about the importance of their contributions. They further associated national security to the welfare and well-being of the people. They see taxes as indispensable in the government operation as they recognize that taxes serve as a fuel in running the country. Relative to government efficiency, they acknowledge its initiatives, but there are matters that need to be prioritized. Taking into account taxpayers’ viewpoints is a great avenue to revisit policies and programs, and align it to matters that need immediate actions and long-term solutions. It is an urgent call to continue the practice of instilling the art of taxation, as it will enable the people to be more aware of how vital taxes are, leading to more compliant taxpayers, sources of funds, and programs and projects.

The Online Ordering System with Location Analytics is a website that can be utilized on both traditional desktop computers and mobile devices, such as smartphones. With the use of internet technology, customers are able to enter their orders into the system using any device, including personal computers and smart phones. The website contains predictive modelling that will allow the administrator (end user) to examine orders in advance (on a daily basis), which will allow the administrator to manage the required amount of work force in advance. The system was able to graphically depict the volume of orders in each of the important delivery locations, such as barangay, due to the use of computer analytics. Throughout the entirety of the system's design and development, Peter DeGrace's Sashimi Waterfall model served as a foundational reference point. The framework of the system was built with Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), a popular open-source general-purpose scripting language that excels at web development and can be included into HTM. PHP is a general-purpose scripting language with a wide range of applications. During the testing of the system, an evaluation instrument that was adapted from ISO 9126 was applied, and it earned a mean rating of 4.15 along with an adjectival rating of Very Good. According to the findings of the tests, the system has successfully passed the software quality evaluation and possesses the qualities that are characteristic of good software.
