Resumen
This paper presents a tool for video quality assessment that allows the selection of quality (QP), temporal (FPS), and spatial (bitrate) scalability parameters. The proposal integrates traditional metrics such as Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index (SSIM), together with the perceptual metric Perceptual Image Patch Similarity (LPIPS), which is based on deep neural networks. To validate its effectiveness, a two-phase subjective evaluation methodology was applied. In the first phase, participants assessed videos encoded with the same scalability parameter, showing a strong correspondence between visual perception and objective metrics. In the second phase, different configurations were compared, revealing a preference for high quality and intermediate spatial scalability. Additionally, in experiments with common distortions such as blurring and noise, LPIPS achieved a sensitivity of 73.64%, outperforming PSNR and SSIM in its alignment with human perception. The main contribution of this work is a tool that combines objective and subjective evaluations, enabling a more comprehensive analysis that closely reflects human visual perception.

Resumen
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the influence of digital technologies on labor productivity at both global and corporate levels, while considering the distinct economic development contexts of various countries. The study employs methods such as correlation and regression analysis, alongside 19 case studies. The investigation identified key determinants of labor productivity at the macroeconomic level across three dimensions: institutional efficacy, human capital, and technology adoption. These determinants encompass the quality of the regulatory environment, the assimilation of digital technologies, the prevalence of fixed broadband subscriptions, and the overall ease of conducting business. In the current study, the above factors are manifested through indicators such as Regulatory Quality, Digital Adoption Index, Fixed Broadband Subscriptions, and Ease of Doing Business. Notably, the Digital Adoption Index and Regulatory Quality exerted the most substantial influence, as evidenced by a one-unit increase in these variables correlating with labor productivity surging by 76.95 and 13.28, respectively. Furthermore, the strong correlation between the projected evolution of the human resources management market and the sectors of artificial intelligence and analytics in personnel management was substantiated. The findings revealed a comparative analysis of implementing digital HR technologies within companies across countries with different levels of development. It was shown that developed countries leverage these technologies with a more strategic orientation, while developing nations tend to prioritize operational efficiency and adaptation to crises. The insights obtained can be utilized at the macroeconomic level to inform policy directions aimed at increasing labor productivity, and at the microeconomic level for the formulation of robust human resource management strategies.

Resumen
The study of academic achievement in algebra among secondary school students has become a pressing and globally relevant topic, encouraging scholars to explore the variables that shape this learning process and to propose more effective teaching approaches. The present work aims to examine the body of literature addressing factors that influence both learning and performance in algebra within lower secondary education. This research adopts a documentary design and follows the methodological guidelines of the PRISMA-P protocol, enabling a systematic process of searching, selecting, and analyzing sources. From databases such as SciELO, ERIC, Academy Edu, and Scopus, 103 documents were initially identified, of which 51 were selected for in-depth review. The findings reveal both internal and external variables. Internally, the limited early development of algebraic thinking, insufficient progress in algebraic language and reasoning, and the inherent complexity of algebra are highlighted. Teacher preparation also emerges as a key element, with emphasis on strengthening training through the Mathematics Teachers’ Specialized Knowledge (MTSK) framework and adopting innovative pedagogical approaches that integrate information and communication technologies alongside strategies for mathematical reasoning. On the external side, factors such as school infrastructure, family support, educational policies, and social interactions are identified as influential. Collectively, these variables exert a significant impact on students’ academic performance in algebra.

Resumen
The main purpose of this research was to describe the importance of video games in mental health intervention processes. Methodologically, this article developed a systematic literature review based on the PRISMA statement, taking into account articles published in the last 5 years in the Scopus, Web of Science and PsycINFO databases. After the document selection process based on the established criteria, the sample consisted of 31 scientific publications. From the results found, those containing topics outside the main research question were discarded and documents with content related to the keywords used were selected. Among the main results, it is highlighted that the appropriate use of video games for therapeutic purposes has significant effects on people's mental health. The findings show the generation of encouraging changes when psychological interventions mediated by video games with contents aimed at mental health promotion and prevention are carried out. In addition, the evidence highlights the impact at the emotional and cognitive level from the interaction with these and underlines the need to increase the number of research and interventions aimed at improving the quality of life in different population groups.

Resumen
Internal social capital in organizations is an intangible asset maintained through agreements, common goals, trust, and knowledge sharing among members. This paper presents a reliability and validity analysis of a scale for measuring internal social capital in organizations and the results of its application in companies in the tourism sector. Managers from 39 hotels and 106 restaurants in Tabasco, Mexico, participated. The quantitative methodology included Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and descriptive analyses. The results showed a good fit with the three-dimensional model for measuring internal social capital: cognitive, relational, and structural. Convergent validity analysis indicates adequate internal consistency and that the items are aligned with the latent constructs (dimensions) to be measured. Discriminant validity analysis suggests that each construct shares more variance with its own items than with other constructs, thus supporting its conceptual distinctiveness. Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient (α) values reported an optimal overall value and the descriptive areas of opportunity to consolidate social capital in the study sample.

Resumen
Rubens Ricupero was not only one of the most important Brazilian diplomats of the 20th century, but also a central figure in decisive moments in the country's political and economic history over the last fifty years. In addition to representing Brazil in multilateral forums such as the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Ricupero was the Minister of Finance responsible for creating Brazil's most important monetary stabilization plan, the Real Plan. His career in the Brazilian civil service allowed him to accumulate political experience and technical knowledge like few other Brazilian men of his generation. Thus, this article aims to systematize and analyze his intellectual trajectory and the main theoretical elements of his economic thinking. To this end, primary documents, academic articles and books, and material extracted from a face-to-face interview conducted at his office in early 2020 were used. The article shows the eclecticism of his economic ideas, although one can note the importance that Ricupero attaches not only to state action itself, but above all to the development of a welfare state capable of mitigating inequalities and defending the environment, while ensuring the necessary conditions for capital accumulation.

Resumen
Academic stress is a state experienced by students when they are subjected to a set of demands they cannot cope with, or find difficult to cope with because they are beyond their own resources. The purpose was to identify the presence of academic stress in students in the penultimate semester of the Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Administration at a Mexican public university; as well as to identify the influence that academic stress has on performance, as well as on physical, psychological, and behavioral reactions, in addition to identifying the influence that these reactions have on academic performance. A quantitative, descriptive, and correlational study in a sample of 359 students detected a predominant level of moderate stress. Physical reactions ranked first in importance, with drowsiness being the most prominent. The predominant psychological reaction was lack of concentration. The behavioral reaction that most affected students was a reluctance to complete schoolwork. Academic stress has a significantly negative influence on performance; higher stress levels lower academic performance. Academic stress has a significantly positive influence on physical, psychological, and behavioral reactions. In turn, these reactions influence academic performance. These results alert authorities and teachers to address academic stress to improve students' quality of life.

Resumen
This article provides a critical analysis of the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on teaching research methodology. It identifies a significant gap between high student adoption and low integration by faculty. While AI offers notable gains in efficiency and scalability across all research phases (literature review, data analysis, writing), the analysis reveals profound risks such as algorithmic biases, erosion of critical thinking, opacity of systems ("black box"), and the potential marginalization of non-Western epistemologies. In the face of these challenges, technological determinism is rejected in favor of a human-centered integration. The conclusion emphasizes that AI's true potential lies not in replacement but in freeing the researcher from routine tasks to save time to enhance their critical and creative work. Achieving this requires teacher training in "digital criticality," institutional policies that align incentives, and an expanded ethical framework that transcends the individual to address structural and governance dimensions, ensuring that technology serves fundamental pedagogical values.

Resumen
Tenosique, Tabasco is an important cross-border territory between Mexico and Guatemala due to the presence of tropical forests that provide an optimal space for the maintenance of biodiversity and the provision of environmental services. However, its current spatial dynamics are unknown, relevant information for the creation of environmental planning strategies in the Southeast of Mexico. For this reason, the objective of this work was to model land use change from 1997 to 2009 and 2016, using the Land Change Modeler. In addition, a 2030 scenario was constructed using stochastic transition models (Markov chains and cellular automata). The results show a loss of forests of more than 30 000 ha from 1997 to 2016 that were transformed into secondary vegetation, but mainly into pastures for cattle ranching. If this trend continues, it is expected that by 2030 the area of forests in the municipality will be reduced to 7% of the area. This work indicates that it is necessary to establish new conservation, restoration, and management strategies through an ecological management program of the municipality in coordination with the federal authorities that manage the Flora and Fauna Protection Area, Usumacinta Canyon.

Resumen
The use of seaweed as biofertilizers has positive ef fects on the growth and development of various crops as well as on soil improvement. The purpose was to evaluate its ef fect on some physicochemical properties of an alkaline soil and on the growth of Beta vulgaris var. cycla (Swiss chard). In this study, flours of Ulva lactuca and Gracilaria blodgettii were used in a Vertisol soil. Three treatments were evaluated: 3, 6, and 9 g kg-1 of soil in 5 kg pots, and a control without flour. The bioassay was conducted in a greenhouse, with each treatment having five replicates. Bromatological and metal analyses were performed on both flours. The soil was analysed for texture, cation exchange capacity (CEC), organic matter (OM), relative humidity (RH), electrical conductivity (EC), pH, water retention capacity (WRC), Na, K, P, and N. In the Swiss chard, weekly and total growth, fresh and dry biomass were measured. The results indicated that both species increased OM content in the soil, with G. blodgettii being more notable from 1.48-2.7%. In contrast, U. lactuca modified the pH, reducing soil alkalinity from 9.01 to 7.47, increased CEC from 48.28 meq 100 g-1 to 48.72 meq 100 g-1, WRC from 90 to 92.8%, exchangeable sodium capacity from 98 to 100 mg kg-1, and potassium from 125 to 142 mg kg-1. The addition of U. lactuca flour was beneficial to the soil, allowing the growth of Swiss chard with significant increases in total height (P = 0.02621) and dry biomass (P = 0.007867). It is inferred that the total ash concentration in U. lactuca is related to the mineral content and its biofertilizer ef fect; however, additional research is required to determine the optimal concentrations in alkaline soils.
