Resumen
Between 2023 and 2024, São Paulo, the biggest city in the Southern Hemisphere, had its Strategic Master Plan reviewed by municipal legislators. The discussions, focusing on building potential coefficient, urban zoning, and building height, left little room for one of the central themes in contemporary urbanism of major Western metropolises: how to enhance social inclusion and diversity across the urban fabric of the municipality. This is a significant gap when addressing the right of access to the city for the most vulnerable segments of the population. Meanwhile, in Paris, developments in urban operations of ZACs (Zones d’Aménagement Concerté) continued to advance social urbanism, with diversity and social inclusion as central themes of urban public policies. Originally executed in urban operations, this practice has also migrated to the level of urban plots, fostering socially mixed-use buildings throughout the city, with a focus on the most affluent districts. This is not a comparison between the two cities, but we wonder whether there are lessons that São Paulo can learn from Parisian social urbanism.

Resumen
Considering that the praxis of architectural design is a complex endeavor, grappling with contradictions, ambiguities, and contrasts of various types — technical, artistic, economic, aesthetic, social, legal, cultural, historical, etc. — it is proposed to discuss it considering the paradigm of complexity, as elaborated by the French philosopher Edgar Morin. This article aims to analyze how the concepts of order, disorder, and organization, addressed from the paradigm mentioned, can contribute to our reflection on architecture production, from its genesis — when the architectural design is conceived and developed — to its post-occupation — when we witness or experience the architectural phenomenon in the built environment. To achieve this, the Parc de la Villette in Paris, designed by Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi between 1982 and 1998, is chosen as a case study. Through this study, an attempt is made to speculate on the relevance of introducing the theory of complex thinking as a resource to assist in understanding the architectural design in the face of the numerous operations involved in its conception.

Resumen
The transformations in political, economic, and social contexts, driven by globalization, the feminist revolution, totalitarian regimes, and the valorization of history between the sixties and eighties, contributed to a desire for disciplinary revision in architecture. Immersed in these new fields and themes, a new expanded viewpoint led by the female gender emerges, where we find the figure of Beatriz Colomina. The article arises from an interest in exploring the understanding of possible historiographical starting points of Tafuri in Colomina and identifying some historiographical triggers between the authors. To what extent everything in Colomina's life, as she said in an interview with José Juan Barba, would really be random? To investigate this dialogue, writings of Tafuri and about the Italian architect from 1971, when "Theories and History of Architecture" was published and translated into Spanish, to the 1980s, when the Spanish author moved to New York for her studies, were revisited. The text's approach seeks a narrative freedom that addresses some operative criticisms where the authors acted, contributing to the possibility that the study nourishes new research and interpretations of past sources.

Resumen
The environmental performance of buildings has been a frequently addressed topic in the construction sector. In this context, the present study aimed to compare CO₂ emissions from the manufacturing processes of the materials required for construction, as well as the generation of solid waste from external enclosures and some incorporated structural systems, during the architectural design and building construction processes. Four distinct external enclosure scenarios were considered: conventional masonry with ceramic blocks, concrete block masonry, Light Wood Framing (LWF), and Light Steel Framing (LSF). Thus, based on different studies developed using the methodological framework of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) available in the literature, emissions and waste generation were quantified, resulting in environmental indicators that can serve as a basis for decision-making in architectural projects.

Summary:
The article presents part of what the Political Science research groups led by César Caamaño have been working about youth and the problem of poverty and its relationship with habitat in the AMBA region, from a gender perspective. Emphasis is placed on the possibilities of insertion in the labor market and in the secondary and higher education system of the most vulnerable youth sectors, considering the most important public policies in this regard - at the local, provincial and national levels - and the participation of civil society organizations and institutions. Is it enough simply to preach "equality of opportunity" without proposing policies aimed at its effective materialization?

Summary:
The article analyses the mechanisms of rewards and random gratifications associated with the monetisation of leisure in video games and social networks. The text addresses three themes: interactive cultural consumption, new modes of interpellation driven by the telecommunications industry, and on-off line subjectivation processes in connected digital devices. It has been observed that, in contexts of appropriation, a common sense is established and contested about a childhood characterised by play and infinite consumption. This common sense legitimises unlimited expenditure of monetisable energy in virtuality and simulation.

Resumen
Introduction: One of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide is penetrating abdominal trauma, with different impact approaches in the regions. Among the devices most commonly used in these practices are firearms and sharp weapons, causing great concern about the rate of increase of these violent cases; there is often increased use of sharp weapons due to their high availability in homes and sites of recurrence, however, the use of firearms has been increasing by the entry of these into the country by Organized Crime Groups (GDO). It is essential to study the lesions and injury mechanism to provide a correct clinical record, report writing, to testify before a judge, and there is also a just conviction in the trials in which the Forensic Physician is involved. Objectives: General: Analyze the different penetrating abdominal injuries, as well as their mechanism of action, in victims of violence by sharp weapons and firearms. Specifics: Consolidate information through research and search in high-impact databases to provide a tool for Criminology and Forensic Science professionals. Define the devices commonly used in these criminal acts, as well as correlate this information with data from major conflict areas worldwide. Methodology: Through a systematic search in databases and scientific journals, including PUBMED, PMC, ELSEVIER, The Cochrane Library Plus, NCBI, The Lancet Global Health and UpToDate, the aim was to develop a descriptive study based on an updated and structured literature review. Results: In the first half of 2024, in Ecuador, there were 2,595 homicides committed with firearms and weapons. The firearm may cause an entry, trajectory and exit orifice or sometimes the projectile remains at the level of some internal anatomical structure. Injuries caused depend on speed, distance and the weapon used. Blunt weapons can cause sharp, stabbing, contusive, short-stabbing wounds. The most frequently affected organ at the abdominal level was the small intestine. Conclusions: The detailed description of injuries is essential for the development of justice, so it is important to study these both for the Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences staff as well as for the emergency room staff of hospitals that often carry out the reception of these cases, Bearing in mind that the most commonly used devices for criminal offences are revolvers, medium-speed and high-velocity projectile weapons, as well as pointed instruments which may cause injury. General Area of Study: Criminalistics. Specific area of study: Legal Medicine. Type of study: Bibliography Review.
