In the vast South American region, profound cultural and linguistic diversity gives rise to striking educational contrasts. This study aims to compare bilingual educational policies and practices in Brazil and Peru, exploring their normative and historical foundations, as well as the attention given to indigenous communities. The importance of analysing socio-educational dynamics in multicultural and multilingual environments is highlighted, along with the promotion of language and traditional integration in educational structures. Both challenges and possibilities are identified in the implementation of bilingual educational programmes in both nations. Ultimately, it underlines the urgent need to establish educational policies and methods that recognise and value the multiplicity of languages and traditions, aiming to foster equity and holistic development of individuals in pluricultural societies.

This study classifies the entrepreneurial profiles of students enrolled in the Business Development course at the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM), analyzing the variables of gender, age, and field of study. A non-experimental quantitative methodology was employed, using a survey validated by the Wadhwani Foundation, followed by a cluster analysis with the K-Means algorithm. The results identified two clusters of students with entrepreneurial tendencies and revealed a significant relationship between gender, age, and field of study with entrepreneurial profiles. Findings indicate that each student exhibits at least one type of entrepreneurial style, with certain profiles being more prevalent depending on gender and field of study. This study provides valuable insights for designing educational programs that foster entrepreneurship among diverse student groups.

This study aims to describe how the implementation of the 5S methodology contributes to the development of a quality culture in regular basic education institutions in Peru. A qualitative, non-experimental, and descriptive research design was employed, using semi-structured interviews conducted with informed consent. The sample consisted of four educational institutions, selected to explore perceptions regarding the benefits of implementation. The findings revealed a lack of formal planning in the implementation process, which was typically initiated by a teacher or principal and carried out with trained student leaders. Reported benefits include improvements in the classroom environment, communication spaces, waste reduction, and student performance—factors that collectively foster a culture of quality.

This article analyzes the results of a Lesson Study (LS) focused on mathematics teaching, implemented through Interactive Groups (IG) within learning communities. The analysis is framed as a case study involving 36 preservice teachers and is based on data collected through questionnaires, microcapsules, and portfolios. The information was interpreted to identify the contributions of LS to the training process of preservice teachers (PTs), as well as the role of IGs in organizing collaborative work. The findings highlight how LS enhances PTs’ reflective processes regarding what and how to teach. Furthermore, classroom management through IGs facilitates meaningful interaction and experiential learning among group members.

This study unfolds in two stages. The first stage aims to describe the diverse and expanded experiences that students enrolled in the Teacher Training and Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education undergo throughout their formative process. The second stage explores the most frequently mentioned educational territories—university classrooms, professional practices, and socio-community practices—to understand students’ perceptions of how these environments foster academic engagement. A quantitative research design was employed, with a total sample of 120 future educators from the National University of Río Cuarto, who voluntarily completed two instruments: an ad hoc questionnaire and a standardized survey. The results indicate that each educational territory promotes different dimensions of academic engagement and complements the others.

The purpose of this article is to identify socio-affective competencies linked to teamwork that are mobilized in the resolution of problem situations in the Mathematics curriculum. The study was conducted using a qualitative case study approach. The participants were 22 high school students from a public school in southern Brazil. Data were collected through the following instruments: the Competency Wheel, a socio-affective competencies questionnaire, a written teamwork report, and the teacher’s logbook. The results indicate that the socio-affective competencies openness to new experiences and empathy emerged in most teams. In addition, affective bonds and affinity were the main criteria influencing the selection of team members.

This research examined the perceptions of students and graduates of hybrid doctoral courses regarding course design, teaching and learning activities, virtual educational platforms, interaction, evaluation techniques and overall perception. The researchers used quantitative methodology with a cross-sectional survey design and a self-administered questionnaire with 33 participants. The results revealed high satisfaction with the course design and teaching activities. The participants appreciated the flexibility and accessibility of the virtual educational platform, although they reported occasional technical issues. They highlighted interaction as a crucial factor for the success of the course. The findings suggest that hybrid courses effectively meet the needs of adult learners.

This study analyzes the trajectories of students admitted through racial quotas at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) between 2014 and 2023. The analysis focuses on per capita income, Grade Point Average (IRA), and dropout rates, comparing them with students admitted through broad competition over the same period. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Statistical data on income, IRA, and dropout rates were examined using descriptive methods, including mean and standard deviation comparisons between categories. The results show that quota students, particularly those from Black populations, have the lowest per capita incomes. It was found that, despite the similarity in academic performance between non-quota students and racial quota students, non-quota students have a higher IRA and a higher dropout rate.

This study examines the attitudes and expectations of primary school students towards STEAM learning in rural schools in Chile, emphasizing its role in fostering 21st-century skills. A mixed-methods design was employed, combining surveys and semi-structured interviews with 54 fifth- and sixth-grade students in a context characterized by technological limitations. The findings reveal positive perceptions of STEAM, with high levels of motivation and a preference for artistic and hands-on activities. The study concludes that promoting equity in access to STEAM education is crucial, as overcoming gender stereotypes and resource constraints is key to ensuring inclusive education that supports the academic and professional futures of students in rural settings.

This study analyzes the Pedagogical Course Projects (PPCs) of federal universities in northeastern Brazil in the fields of biological sciences, physics, and chemistry, seeking evidence of Scientific Literacy (SL) in graduate profiles and course objectives. The research employed the lexical analysis software IRaMuTeQ to conduct similarity analyses and Descending Hierarchical Classification (DHC). The findings indicate that, although SL is present, it often appears implicitly and in a secondary manner, with greater emphasis placed on the specific concepts of each discipline.
