This article aims to explore some ideas present in the work of Hannah Arendt that could be useful to inform debates, issues, and theories of International Relations. As this topic was not frequently tackled by the author, the reconstruction of her thought on the matter will be based on different series of her excerpts. In addition, the opinion of some experts on the topic will be studied to further elucidate her perspective on the discipline. Thus, this article aims to find new approaches to keep expanding the field of International Relations theories with novel contributions, as it is the case of Arendt’s ideas.

The foreign policy constitutes a particular field of study, attracting the attention of academics and research centers due to its intermestic nature (formulated in the internal or domestic sphere and implemented in the international or external sphere) and because it results from the contributions of International Relations, Political Science and Public Administration. Thus, it constitutes a bridge discipline of International Relations. In addition, its definition and characterization are complex since depend on how the State that formulates and implements it perceives itself; but also, because it relies on the type of State actor in question. A great power is not the same as a small State; necessary to highlight more than three-quarters of the countries in the international system are small agents. For this reason, since the mid-twentieth century, the interest of international analysts has focused on this field. In the same way, the analysis of foreign policy, as a research space, has shown an important evolution, requiring novel approaches and methodologies. On the other hand, the changes in the international system, particularly the end of the Cold War and the attacks of the so-called 9-11, introduced variants in the approach to this issue. However, it was with the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and the war in Ukraine that reality has become more complex and demands new perspectives for analyzing foreign policy, especially of great powers and small states. Then, this article reviews the main texts on foreign policy, from the mid-last century and up to what was published this year (2023). The intention is to offer a sort of state-ofthe-art, for those who are interested in dabbling in the analysis of foreign policy and identifying the main ideas and approaches for subsequent research work

In this project, the feasibility of laminated wood beams as a sustainable construction option in comparison to traditional materials is presented. To do this, an evaluation index was developed, wich takes into account the information of content, distance, process, modulation and maintenance of each material; providing a simplified and preliminary result of the sustainability of the materials for decision making in projects. Additionally the laminated beam, solid wood beam, concrete beam and steel beam were evaluated. Confirming that wood is a more environmentally friendly material, wheter presented as a solid wood beam or laminated beam.

Resumen
Brazilian Federal Law #13,964/2019 made several criminal procedural changes. Among them, we find the introduction of the Non-Prosecution Agreement (article 28-A of the Brazilian Criminal Procedure Code). The agreement was conceived as an instrument to ensure the greater efficiency of the Brazilian criminal justice system, aiming to relieve the burden on criminal courts and prosecutors' offices to allow greater attention to the investigation and resolution of cases involving serious and organized crime. Even though the law describes it as a plea deal settled by the defendant and the prosecutor, it also requires compensation for damages caused by the crime, thus giving space to a discussion on the victim's participation in the negotiations. This paper aims to investigate de lege lata, through a literature review methodology, if such participation is possible and, if so, how extensive it should be. For this purpose, we will analyze the aspects extracted from article 28-A and those related to the very raison d’être of the criminal justice system and the modern tendency to revalue the role of the victim.

Resumen
This paper aims to study the article 398 of the Chilean Code of Criminal Procedure according to the parameters of the offense principle. For this purpose, we will proceed as follows. In the first sections of the article, we will analyze the nature of petty crimes in the Chilean legal system. Then, we will study the subjective teleological content of the suspension of the sentence and its effects. Finally, we will study the criteria to differentiate the principle of offense and harm, focusing on the need to implement a reading that avoids excessive criminalization of misdemeanors in the Chilean criminal system.

Resumen
The patriarchal structures that still define Brazilian society are manifested in different forms of violence against women. The concept of epistemic injustice, developed by Miranda Fricker, is a key concept for understanding the impacts of identity prejudices in the trial of cases of violence against women, as it explains the distortions in the credibility distribution between aggressor and victim. Under this framework, endorsed by the bibliographical review of the specific literature, this article develops the hypothesis that the patriarchal power structures surface in epistemic practices, despite the presumed neutrality of the law, unbalancing the degree of credibility attributed to women and men in the context of criminal proceedings, and leading to injustices such as aggressors’ impunity and victim blaming based on gender stereotypes. Through this analysis, the article aims to answer: Fricker’s “virtuous hearer” ideal can be a helpful parameter to guide judicial hearings, especially regarding the judge’s posture towards victims of domestic abuse and other crimes against women? If so, how such virtuous epistemic practices can avoid negative gender biases on the evaluation of testimonial evidence, and ultimately contribute to diminish the harmful effects of identity prejudices in the justice system – given its inherent symbolic power?
