Organizations must invest in employee motivation to adapt to market changes and avoid poor performance. Motivation, influenced by individual needs, is key to improving productivity, commitment, and job satisfaction. In the Latin American health sector, low motivation has reduced service quality. This study aims to determine the relationship between job motivation and performance in a public health entity in Lima. It specifically focuses on quality of work life, teamwork, and productivity. Using a quantitative, non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional design, 33 health sector workers were surveyed. Results revealed significant correlations between job motivation and performance (r = 0.619), quality of work life (r = 0.743), and teamwork (r = 0.519). No significant relationship was found between job motivation and productivity (sig. = 0.137). The study concludes that, to enhance performance, organizations should provide competitive salaries, acknowledge achievements, and establish a positive physical environment. Additionally, it is essential to foster exemplary leadership and establish break strategies to ensure team effectiveness. The research highlights the importance of job motivation for organizational success and employee well-being.

The oil industry has been fundamental to Ecuador's economic development, providing substantial revenues for national infrastructure and the provision of public services. Therefore, an analysis of the factors that influence the increase and decrease in Ecuadorian oil exports will be carried out through a case analysis of the last two decades that will also allow the development of an econometric estimation model. A quantitative approach was used, with a non-experimental design and a deductive method. The variables oil investment, West Intermediate Texas (WTI) price, annual barrel production and number of wells drilled were analyzed, using descriptive and inferential statistics. The econometric model determined that the WTI price and annual production are the factors with the greatest impact on oil exports. A 1% increase in the WTI price would increase export revenues by 1.20%, while a 1% increase in production would cause a 1.47% increase in revenues. The importance of oil investment and the number of wells drilled were ruled out, suggesting the need to improve the participation of the private sector and to encourage alternative sectors to diversify the Ecuadorian economy.

Social media saw an increase in consumption patterns during the pandemic due to prolonged periods of confinement, particularly among young people. Objective: to understand the impact of the infodemic on the mental health of young people belonging to a Private University in Temuco (Chile), mediated using social networks. Methodologically, a qualitative approach was adopted through an exploratory, transversal, and non-experimental design. The non-probabilistic and intentional sample was made up of 16 students (62.5% women and 37.5% men) belonging to a Private University in Temuco (Chile), with an average age of 22 years, residing in an urban context (68.75%) and rural (31.25%) respectively. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews, whose stories were systematized through content analysis. The results showed that participants used social networks for communication and entertainment. However, they usually prefer in-person contact over virtuality. Furthermore, it was observed that the problematic use of social networks generates confusion and anxiety, establishing the infodemic as an emerging phenomenon. Finally, those young people who significantly used social networks reported feelings of loneliness and lack of social support, reaffirming the need for future research on this topic.

The ideal time to develop critical thinking is during childhood since it takes advantage of children's innate curiosity and creativity. The objective of the present systematic review was to analyze the teaching of critical thinking at the basic education level within Latin America, as well as to explore the methods used to foster its development in students. Therefore, 41 articles were selected using the PRISMA methodology for systematic reviews. Through this work it has been demonstrated that critical thinking significantly impacts the cognitive abilities of students, and the lack of specialized knowledge of teachers to develop this capacity has also been demonstrated. From this, it was concluded that critical thinking is an essential skill for influencing the adaptability and ability to evaluate information of young people in Latin America. However, there are still several obstacles in this region that prevent an adequate promotion of this skill and that need to be addressed through important changes within the sector, with the objective of improving the educational experience of Latino students in basic education.

The research was carried out with the purpose of analyzing the soft skills of the public servants of the Dr. Napoleón Dávila Córdova Hospital of the Chone canton to determine their influence on job performance, so three stages are developed that correspond to each of them. The specific objectives of the study: in the first stage, the state of the art of soft skills and its influence on the work performance of public servants was established, for which a bibliographic review of the research variables was carried out, later in the second phase A survey structured by the Likert scale was developed, which was validated by the Servqual model, which allowed determining the influence of soft skills on job performance. This was applied to the staff and the results were analyzed using the spreadsheet. from Excel; Finally, in the third stage, an improvement proposal was developed using the 5W+1H planning matrix, to provide a solution to the shortcomings found. The results demonstrated significant deficiencies in the variables studied, which establishes that soft skills are essential in the job performance of all public servants. In conclusion, this research validates the importance of knowing skills as part of the methods of an organization which generates benefits to the stated objectives.

The objective of the research was directed towards the analysis of the protection of personal data within the technological media and its legislative development in the legal systems of Chile, Ecuador and Spain. Thus, the study acquires scientific relevance due to the fact that, in such a digitalized era, where information is at the disposal of technology, the law, as a source of regulation and social protection, has the obligation to exercise control over the treatment of such contents, as these are the needs of the new technological society. In this way, the use of methodological research techniques such as the documentary-bibliographic and comparative legal method was required, which established the conditions for the recognition of the contributions of the selected countries, according to the amount of information in their regulations. Finally, the result was that the protection of this data becomes a pillar in the distinction between intimacy, privacy and protection; and in the promotion of norms with a protectionist approach. With this, it was concluded that regardless of the legal advances of the law to create a protection framework, it is still insufficient and shallow compared to the scope of the information provided.

The main objective of this research work was to examine the scientific literature of the last 5 years related to the variable teacher professional ethics. The study was based on a descriptive literature review and academic articles were used as the main source of data. The databases Scopus, Scielo, Redalyc, and Eric were searched. Up to July 2024, 73 studies were identified in Scopus, 18 in Scielo, 21 in Redalyc, and 25 in Eric, totaling 137 studies. After an exhaustive cross-checking of documents, articles were discarded following the inclusion criteria, resulting in a sample of 15 studies, 11 qualitative, 3 cross-sectional and one descriptive study. The results show that in 3 research papers, the variable of professional teaching ethics is defined as a set of actions, a process or the commitment to the teaching function, evidencing dimensions of the variable, such as responsibility, honesty, justice, equality, empathy, fidelity, among others. These dimensions or pillars are fundamental to improve poor teaching practices such as inappropriate use of technology in the classroom, sexting and discrimination. The professional ethics of educators face numerous challenges, from its understanding to its application, which underscores the need to address various practices that could jeopardize the quality of education.

The visibility of scientific production is essential to ensure its academic and social impact. However, many scientific journals, particularly in Latin America, face significant barriers to being included in international indexes such as Scopus and WoS due to strict requirements and biases toward publications in English and hard sciences. This limits their capacity for dissemination and citation. The objective is to identify effective strategies to improve the visibility and positioning of open-access scientific journals. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted based on articles published in Spanish between 2011 and 2021. The texts were analyzed using a content matrix to identify strategies across hierarchical levels: institutional, journal-specific, author-level, editorial teams, and cross-cutting strategies. The strategies identified include creating institutional portals, strengthening open repositories, collaborating with media outlets, developing optimized digital platforms, and training editorial teams. At the author level, the creation of academic profiles and the standardization of author names stand out. Improving the visibility of scientific journals requires coordinated efforts to overcome indexing barriers and expand their social impact. This includes ensuring rigorous editorial processes, increasing the quality of articles, and promoting the transfer of knowledge to society. Implementing these strategies will enable regional scientific journals to competitively position themselves in the global academic landscape, contributing to the development of knowledge in Latin America.
