The Just War Tradition has provided a framework for thinking about warfare for well over 2,000 years. While the exact details may vary a little, the core ideas are shared across religious and secular culture, underpinning international law. However, should responses to terrorist activity, or ‘hybrid’ attacks, perhaps involving predominantly nonlethal methods such as subversion, cyber, or economic attrition, really be regarded within such a framework, when many people would not consider such a context to represent war at all? This paper argues that despite its name, by concentrating on harm in a broader sense rather than its purely lethal manifestation, the type of moral reasoning that the Just War Tradition represents can actually be applied to a much broader set of contexts than might initially be imagined. This means that the Just War Tradition remains a useful guide even when the exact status of the situation may be considered unclear.

KEYWORDS: Historia, Mixomicologia, LABMIX, universidad.

Offshore platforms are floating structures, located in the sea, which can carry out drilling and production activities, in some cases, storage and transfer. For the proper development of the activities of the operators, the platform must remain in balance. If there is any movement, that these movements are within tolerable limits. The movements of vessels are mainly caused by environmental actions: ocean current, wind and ocean wave. For the mapping of movements, several sensors are installed in the structures in order to obtain more accurate information, having in many cases, more than one sensor mapping the same information. In order to read this information, acquisition systems must be connected to computers so that the correct interpretation of what is being measured can be performed. The use of Arduino has grown in recent years due to the possibility of using it with sensors and the associated low cost. In this way, this work proposes the use of an Arduino system and MPU6050 (sensor with gyroscope and accelerometer) to map gyres on offshore platforms for didactic purposes. The implementation of the code for reading the information from the accelerometer and the gyroscope is carried out and it is verified that the results obtained are consistent with the movements that were imposed. It is concluded, then, the feasibility of use for mapping the turn of a platform.

The nematode Meloidogyne enterolobii (Yang & Eisenback) is one of the main pathogens associated with the guava tree (Psidium guajava L.) in northeastern Brazil. Considering the frequency with which weeds are found in fruit production areas and their potential as phytonematode hosts, the aim of this study was to investigate the reaction of weeds to the parasitism of M. enterolobii. The species evaluated for nematode infection were Acanthospermum hispidum DC., Ageratum conyzoides L., Alternanthera tenella Colla., Amaranthus deflexus L., A. spinosus L., A. viridis L., Bidens pilosa L., Clitoria ternatea L., Datura stramonium L., Macroptilium lathyroides (L.) Urb., Merremia aegyptia (L.) Urb., Solanum americanum Mill., S. paniculatum L. and Spigelia anthelmia L. Of these, only six were classified as susceptible to the pathogen with factor breeding >1.0: S. paniculatum, S. americanum, B. pilosa, A. conyzoides, A. tenella, and M. aegyptia, fourspecies were resistant: S. anthelmia, M. lathyroides, C. ternatea, and D. stramonium and four species behaved as immune to the nematode: A. hispidum, A. deflexus, A. spinosus, and A. viridis. From the results obtained, it was found that weed species susceptible to M. enterolobii may pose a threat to the cultivation of guava, serving as a source of inoculum. Control measures in infested orchards should consider the hostability of these plants to the nematode in order to recommend their careful removal from the cultivated area.

Tucuxi, Sotalia fluviatilis is one of the species of river dolphins that occur in the Amazon basin. The species is insufficiently known by science, and completely lacking information for the state of Amapá. Given this fact, the work aims to verify the level of traditional knowledge of the local riverside community about the tucuxi boto, S. fluviatilis of the northern channel of the Amazon River, Amapá. Interviews took place with the resident population in the vicinity of the study area with the application of an interview form. Most of the interviewees frequently observed individuals from S. fluviatilis mainly in small groups, also stating that the tucuxi boto was much more frequent in the past. The displacement, jumping and feeding behaviors were the most reported. Thus, studies that support contemplating initiatives about the knowledge of key species, are essential for taking measures, aiming to optimize conservation strategies for this aquatic mammal in the State of Amapá.

ABSTRACT: This article aims to synthesize the scientific knowledge produced on the prevalence of Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases in elderly people aged 60 years or over, living in Northeast of Brazil. It is an integrative literature review, in which Medline, Lilacs and Scielo databases were consulted in October 2020, selecting studies published between 2000 and 2020. Initially, the search for productions resulted in 259 productions and from the establishment of the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the corpus of this review consisted of 12 articles. The main results showed a higher prevalence of NCDs in females, the most prevalent diseases were arterial hypertension, diabetes, osteoarthritis and mental disorders, which had a significant association with sociodemographic variables and the health conditions of the elderly population. In addition, it was observed that publications on the subject are scarce. Thus, it is hoped to promote an understanding of the prevalence of NCDs in elderly people in the Northeast, as well as the development of further studies on the subject is suggested.
