The objective of this article is to analyze representations of labor conflict in a group of workers in the fish processing industry of the port city of Mar del Plata (Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina). The attraction is addressed to this group of workers who, historically and generationally, have suffered the devastating effects of precariousness and labor flexibilization in the filet branch. Specifically, we intend to explore the degree of participation, of our interviewees, in a conflict that occurred in 2007 in the fishing industry of Mar del Plata. We consider substantive to investigate such representations in relation to work trajectories, the working conditions involved in these trajectories and the production relations. To achieve the proposed objectives, primary sources constructed from a semistructured interview applied in the field to 161 workers were used.

: This article aims to make visible the voices of some actors in the educational community of two public institutions in Tumaco, General Santander and Roberto Mario Bischoff, to show how the school deals with the challenge of adding to its task of educating, that of resolving the impacts of violence. It reflects in particular on the boy and girl victims whose origin in time reveals the construction of the Colombian nation as an unfinished project of modernity. At the origin of the armed conflict, to resist modernization has been to become the different, the 'other', the enemy. It is illustrated with some fragments collected from open and semi-structured interviews as part of a process of Participatory Action Research, the experiences of the educational community in the middle of the conflict and the proposal through which the mentioned schools have faced a new role, based on the critical theory of hope. The schools have assumed the reconstruction of knowledge, pedagogies, and institutional guidelines, to win the pulse of violence, which comes from the hand of armed actors who create the victim boy and girl, push them away from the educational system, and include them in a conflict that it is alien. This is the story of the effort of two educational institutions to assume with better elements the task of reducing the effects of violence as a task that is beyond the competence of the school, but that cannot be ignored by it

This case report article seeks an abstract and concrete reflection on the situation of indigenous languages in the Colombian Caribbean. The rural and urban context have presented different conditions for the use of indigenous languages, in urban formal and informal work has led to the use of other languages and in rural the presence of armed groups has made it impossible, in some cases, to use of these languages as forms of control. From these two situations, the aim is to show that the policy of bilingualism as a way to overcome the economic, social and cultural gaps in the Colombian Caribbean has not been effective and the use of Spanish in some indigenous peoples has been validated. In this way, the investigative advance presented here aims to analyze the situation of the use of indigenous languages in the rural and urban context of the Ette Ennaka, Kankuamo, Arhuaco, Kogui, Wayú peoples.

This article explains how the traditional fishermen of Old Providence, La Boquilla and Taganga, use “empirical knowledge” to create marks or points to navigate and fish in the Colombian Caribbean Sea without using GPS. The pilot of the boat, with “common sense” and ancestral experience, creates a mental navigation route to go fishing. This navigation map has reference marks or fixed points on the beach used as coordinates which unite in the moving plane that is the Caribbean Sea, allowing for travel. The ethnographic methodology, from interviews, context and information collected, demonstrates the process of extracting the image from the mind of the fisherman to make it visible to the fishermen as well as to the community. These analyzed and recreated images, verified through photo-elicitation, allow the mental drawings of the fishermen to be seen and are then transferred to a digital platform. In conclusion: the experience of revealing the mental maps of artisanal fishermen, through drawings in ink and graphite on paper, then transferred to a digital platform, offers a new look at navigation charts and oral stories of fishermen, visualized in a digital sea.

The paradigms of complexity have taken a fast pace in the use of new languages and concepts, implying a new paradigm and so, a new sort of science. Classic science tries to enclose in one method and language all predictable, regular and controllable behavior systems. This paper highlights a very important aspect in complexity systems: the non-lineary, and as cause of it, the feedback. The iterative or feedback processes in interaction with the variables of a system are the best way to describe the global behavior of phenomena, showing the circular processes of causality, setting aside the idea of linear causality, the one-way linear relationship between causes and effects, and the string of actions generated by this emergency systems. This way a route opens to transform from simplicity to complexity, and from disciplinary to inter or transdisplinarity.
