In an atmosphere of medieval revivalism and recovery of the Arthurian tradition, Alfred Tennyson (1809-1892) wrote in 1833 what would become one of his most famous poems, The Lady of Shalott. In it, he recovers the figure of the Maid of Astolat created by Sir Thomas Malory in The Death of Arthur (1485). Soon she would become one of the paradigmatic heroines of the poet and one of the favorite iconographic motifs of pre-Raphaelite and Victorian artists of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Likewise, both the poem and the pictures have been taken as illustrations of Victorian attitudes toward women and their sexuality.

Among the architectural types of the Spanish Baroque, the dressing room is one of the most important spaces within ecclesiastical architecture. The devotion instilled by the Council of Trent to the Virgin Mary and its constant comparison with royalty, will be the reasons that justify the sumptuousness of these sacred chambers. A place of great transcendence in which the divine and the human merge through the richness of their constructive materials and the mystery of these hidden spaces that are found within the temples. In this study we will focus on the case of the Patroness of Ciudad Real, the Virgen del Prado which, although it is one of the great unknown within the iconic dressing rooms that we find in the Spanish geography, is undoubtedly one of the most relevant to the region in which it is located. Along with the formal analysis of its architecture and its contextualization, both conceptual and spatial, we will proceed to delve into its history and go through the bibliography, from the first known data to the most recent studies, will be the objectives of this study.

During the first Francoism, the Women’s Catholic Action association was an instrument to legitimate the New State and to spread the women’s ideal of motherhood and domesticity at the service of the ecclesiastical hierarchy. However, through the analysis of the discourse that they produced for their periodic publications, in this case focussed on the Valencian diocese, we can observe how women catholic activists developed an own voice which was silenced by the official discourse, and, without questioning their subordinate position, they were gaining prominence in their own association, in which they initially seemed absent. If we agree that identity is not a pre-existing or immutable category but a process in constant construction, neither can it be claimed that during the forties and early fifties it did not undergo transformations. Due to the experiences given by public participation in the catholic movement, during the forties and early fifties these women rediscovered themselves as subjects with agency and it was a first step to a following recognition of change in gender relations.

The impulse and consolidation of gender mainstreaming since the IV United Nations Women’s World Conference (Beijing, 1995) which has laid the foundations for the incorporation of a gender perspective throughout the life cycle of public policies, including to their progression. This academic work, as part of a larger study, is based on an approach on the inclusion of the gender perspective into the analysis of evaluability. With this, a review of the literature has been carried out with the aim of analyzing the methodological contributions in the matter of evaluability from a gender perspective, emphasizing the relevance of gender on evaluability assessments and studies on equality policies. In this regard, some limitations have been observed in the literature and in the evaluability studies themselves, derived from an absence of a gender perspective in them. Given this circumstance, this article contains a series of recommendations regarding gender relevance in evaluability assessments.

The speeches of the actresses awarded at the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards have become a global media event that, thanks to its virality, has managed to greatly amplify the feminist messages in them. They are entertainment content with a very strong replication capacity in the media and the social media, great popular repercussion and substantial contribution to mainstream feminism, neoliberal feminism or post-feminism. Through the analysis of two of those discourses with the conceptual tools of decolonial feminism, we aim to explore the limits of the emancipatory potential of such discourses’ feminism. The goal is to highlight the mechanisms that lighten the political potential of these feminist messages and discover which aspects of them are enhanced and which are eliminated.

Abstract. The Andalusian municipal map is currently composed of 785 municipalities, although this political, administrative and territorial reality has experienced a significant boom in segregationist phenomena during the constitutional period, being especially numerous during the last decade, with the creation of 14 municipalities, with a majority legal basis in the Local Autonomy Law of Andalusia (2010). With the State Law on Rationalization and Sustainability of the Local Administration (2013), the conditions for segregation have been tightened, establishing a minimum population threshold of 5,000 inhabitants and their financial viability. The objective of this research is to deepen the current position of the Junta de Andalucía in the processes of segregation and incorporation of municipality, as well as future segregationist possibilities. For this end, a review of all the regulations on local government and their repercussions on the Andalusian municipal map will be applied as a methodology. The main results set out the current overview in this regard. And as a conclusion, various alternatives will be presented: either the merger of municipalities with small population and financial problems, or the strengthening of territorial cooperation figures (communities of municipalities, consortiums) or the creation of supra-municipal entities (administrative regions, metropolitan areas).   Key words: Local autonomy, Municipal map, New councils, Segregation, Andalucía.
