The results of the quality control exercise of the Latin American Society of Forensic Genetics reflect the gradual advancement of Forensic Genetics laboratories in Latin America, not only in the use of automated plataforms and the use of commercial reagents; However, promoting the internal validation of methods and the analysis of complex samples such as mixtures remains a challenge.

The impact that thematic networks have had in strengthening Forensic Genetics in Latin America is unquestionable. Over the years, they have been driving and leading the generation of new knowledge, the creation of working groups and contributions; which resulted in substantive improvements in the applicability of the discipline; however the challenges that led to its creation are still in force in order to continue promoting the strengthening of forensic genetics in our countries.

The present study is based on a special project modality, which had the objective to develop an instructional material about the sound and fundamental elements in electroacoustics. The material was developed through a multimedia resource based on HTML5, a tool for the construction of virtual environments, as a didactic strategy in the teaching of the Musical Informatics subject, taking as objects of study the students of the second semester of the Degree in Music of the Universidad Centroccidental Lisnadro Alvarado. The main trends of this type ofresources based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are presented. A diagnosis of need was made, with a research instrument, which was validated by expert judgment. The programs that were used in the elaboration and application were studied, which corresponded to the modality of free software that were available to the students and we proceeded to study the topics related to sound, authors, composers and electroacoustic instruments, as well as opensource of software that allows the creation, editing and mastering of audio.

Human Development takes into account various dimensions to expand access to opportunities for a higher quality of life. One of the aspects thatcontributes to the existence of processes oriented towards this particular approach is citizenship, because it allows people to exercise their rights and duties, possess a collective identity and maintain a behaviour based on civic values. The objective of this research was to understand the formative processes of the Fe y Alegría School "San Francisco" Educational Unit of the projects that use art as a tool for the construction of citizenship, considering its relationship with the central capacities and Human Development. From the qualitative modality, methodological strategies typical of hermeneutics were used: reading of documents, indepth interviews and group interviews.Among the findings are that educational projects that use the arts as a tool for the cultivation and strengthening of citizenship can generate a positive impact, thanks to the set of skills and training in values that lead to a community to promote changes that allow them to achieve a better quality of life.

In this scientific article we’ll talk about how to use research methods proactively in the approach to Rural Tourism in Latin America and the Caribbean, to propose how the use of triangulation of research methods can achieve the coresponsibility of social actors in the investigative process, and as a consequence, contribute in the decision making for the development of rural tourism. It is conceived as an articulation of Historicalsocial and economicecological processes that can be interpreted in an interdisciplinary way. The methodical approach is made from the hermeneutic reflection of the constructs: rural tourism, interdisciplinary and qualitative structural research methods and prospective methods and techniques. And the proposal of a combination of research methods for the construction of a methodical that has epistemological and empirical validity for rural tourism. In short: the triangulation of methods must be carried out proactively and creatively, and adapt to the demands of the environment and contextual needs.

We present the experience of the use of Blended Learning or BLearning, as it is known massively, as a functional pedagogical support strategy in the training of university professionals, specifically the Nursing Program of the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado. Facebook, one of the most demanded social networks was specifically used to create a closed group in which information related to the programming of activities, support material, photographs and case studies was made available to students, multimedia files for reinforcement of information, assessment instructions and assignment of reading material for reporting. The use of this methodology is recent, but due to the results obtained be of habitual implementation.

For 15 years, the Latin American Forensic Genetics Society has carried out a quality comparative, theoretical and practical interlaboratory exercise, whose main objective is to contribute to the strengthening of the participating forensic genetic laboratories. The results record published on the society's web portal (http://www.slagf.org) was analyzed, and the average error when analyzing autosomal STRs is 2.01% and 2.28% for STRs of Chromosome Y, during these years, an evolution of the methodology used was also observed, which is reflected in the number of errors detected. It is necessary to carry out a process of reorganization of the quality exercises to continue contributing to the strengthening of laboratories dedicated to forensic genetics.
