Resumen
The approval of the current president has been a reasonably reliable predictor of the success or defeat of the ruling party in Costa Rica. To verify this, we formed a sample that covered the presidential elections held between 1982 and 2022. The results suggest that the Costa Rican voter tends to reward or punish the official presidential candidate depending on the perception they have of the performance of the current president. The 1990 and 1994 elections were exceptions to this dynamic. Both experiences are analyzed in the light of comparative experience.

Resumen
The objective of this article is to analyze the phenomenon of youth and drug culture in light of the social theory of social tension. Methodologically, documentary analysis and empirical contrasting of social conditions of youth in Mexico are used to weave a discussion from sociological approaches to social tension. The results point to a close relationship between the socio-cultural influences of the media on youth, in which it is known that they promote social constructs and imaginaries about status, recognition and social success, positioning organized crime as a means of immediate social mobility, whose risks are assumed in the face of a society whose opportunities for access to fundamental social rights have been hindered.

Resumen
This article is the result of a study of the public policy proposals presented in the Costa Rican Congress to cushion or reverse the socioeconomic and health effects caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Of all the proposals presented in the first six months of the emergency declaration caused by the virus, in the year 2020, more than half (194 total) try to mitigate one or more of the effects of such an infectious disease. Even in the multiplicity of protection for specific sectors that are sought to be safeguarded (33), there is a marked trend in financial-fiscal regulation and action around productive reactivation. Despite this, a substantial part

In his works, Charles Taylor delves into his master narrative of Modernity as an alternative to the story of subtraction that became the dominant narrative. The study presented here only intends to delve into one of the causes that led to secularization; that is, the progressive disenchantment of the world. In his main works, the Canadian hermeneutic considers what other reasons led to alternative moral sources to theism and allowed the arrival of the coated self and exclusive humanism.
