Resumen
This paper analyzes the conceptualization of cosmic art conceived by the Costa Rican artist Manuel de la Cruz González Luján, by the study and analysis of the archives of González-Kreysa family, and especially on the text of the lecture “The art as cosmic integration”, delivered in Maracaibo, Venezuela, in 1957. In such a text, he expresses a series of affirmations about art and the fruit of its contact with other fields of knowledge, as science, and in general with nature, as it has been observed by artists and scientists through the history of western civilization.

Resumen
This paper analyses the artwork Axioma (2013) of the contemporary Costa Rican artist known as Habacuc. The present text is an essay that analyse a contemporary artwork from a “limited interpretation”, by methodological decision. The media phenomenon is going to be studied from a Communication Sciences perspective. Axioma broke into the agenda of various news websites, which in context of the electoral truce and foreseeing the possible curiosity generated by a note on Habacuc and a new art project relative to a dog, headlines were irresponsibly shared instead of confirm the information. Consequently, the media created a truth and they (mis) informed thousands of people, those within hours were asking for the artist’s head.

Resumen
This article aims to address the problems of the American identity, with regard to the exhibition entitled La hora americana presented at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires. On the basis of a theoretical framework Deleuzian, according to which the art is intended to appeal to the constitution of a people, and linking it with the concepts of the smelly and the cultural phagocytosis proposed by Rodolfo Kusch (2007), we will established heterogeneity as a fundamental element of the Americanist identity. This will take into account the diversity of the works presented in the exhibition, with parti- cular emphasis on two of them, Eva Perón. Arquetipo símbolo of Sesostris Vitullo and Jujuy of Antonio Berni. In them, it will be possible to study the intersection between a Western cultural dimension and another American, where the past and the future are disseminated in an uncertain space which, at the time that makes the works possible, requires a specific position by the spectator.

In this conference, Gonzalez argues his conceptualization of cosmic art and presents the outlines of a new art. His reading will be essential to deal with new approaches to the analysis of his art work.
