Introduction: The analysis of dentistry thesis in Peru, provides valuable information to optimize efforts related to solving oral health problems. Objective: To analyze undergraduate dental theses from Peruvian universities during 2015-2019. Method: Descriptive, associative and quantitative study. 1389 theses from 14 public and private universities were analyzed. The variables: university name and type, number of authors, access to full text, academic-professional areas, type of research and orientation to prevalent diseases in the oral cavity, year and origin region. Results: Of the total number of theses, access to the full text was obtained in 66.5%, an 87.7% had only one author and the 66.7% was descriptive research. The most frequent academic-professional areas of study were: Pediatric and Social Stomatology with 27% and Surgical Medical Stomatology with 20.4%. The orientation to dental caries was 19.2%, to occlusion diseases 11.4% and to periodontal disease 8.1%. Discussion: The results were similar to other authors, with few studies related to the prevalent diseases. It is suggested that the faculties of Dentistry reorient research primarily to the needs and policies of oral health, to achieve a better contribution of academia to society.

Introduction: To design a postgraduate study plan is an relevant task for what is expected in the future about the training of its students. To implement it and to adapt it to the different demands that are manifested over time are major words. Objective: is to describe the synchronic and diachronic elements underlying the postgraduate program in Special Education at the FESZ since 1987 to date. It shows the evolution of the postgraduate course over time, the theoretical bases that support it, the situation teachers and students regarding graduation, no graduation and occupational level. Discussion: The dynamism from its implementation is recognized, the relationship that it has kept with various factors in which it has been immersed, both the administrative and academic of the institution as well as other external ones: political, economic, and scientific. It concludes with the contributions made to the field of special education and the areas of opportunity, both disciplinary and formative, in face of future changes.

Introduction: Transversal competences constitute a key element for the academic-professional training and sociolabour insertion of university students. Numerous studies reveal a gap between the level of generic skills and the level demanded by the labor market. The evaluation of these competencies becomes essential in university education, so it is necessary to have valid evaluation tools. Objective: To develop a measurement instrument that effectively evaluates said competencies. Method: a questionnaire has been designed based on the model used by Solanes et al. (2008), using the Delphi method to assess content validity. The test has been administered to 946 students, dividing this sample into four equal subgroups to carry out two parallel analyzes and two confirmatory factor analyzes. Results: The final scale is composed of 38 items that explain 53.1% of the variance, with a McDonald’s omega of .94. The parallel analysis reveals a factorial structure of five factors. Likewise, the confirmatory factor analyzes provide evidence of validity on the internal structure of the questionnaire (CMIN/DF = 1.903; RMSEA = .062; CFI = .91; PNFI = .657; NFI = .90; RMR = .042; PGFI = .88). Discussion: An instrument is provided that meets the specifications to be considered a valid and reliable tool, which evaluates the transversal skills most demanded by the labor market.

Introduction: This research sought to identify the type of interventions produced between university supervisors and student teachers during feedback phase in practical training, Objective: To analyze how interactions can promote reflection and autonomy of teacher in training. Method: Methodologically framed in a case study, two supervisors and ten student teachers from a public university in Chile participated. They were examined ten transcripts of video recordings were analyzed using Heron’s interpersonal relationship analysis framework for the description of feedback given by the supervisor. Results: The main findings account for two interventions areas in which the dialogue is centered: feedback focused on management skills and classroom procedures and predominantly directive feedback with the presence of non directive interventions focused on giving support.

Introduction: The crisis that the world is experiencing today is demanding attention to the ethical training of the new generations. An essential element to attend it is the ethical training of teachers. Objective: To present the results of an exploratory research that investigated the opinion of teachers and experts in teacher training programs, on the ethical training of teachers from the loop: complex thinking-planetary ethics-social transformation. Method: A sample of 22 experts in teacher training and 222 teachers of different educational levels were surveyed, applying an exploratory questionnaire on the ethical training of teachers, constructed with a Likert scale of seven options. The results of the questions related to the loop described in the objective, which is part of the constructed theoretical proposal, are presented descriptively and comparatively. Results: show that there is not enough attention to the ethical training of teachers from  the dimensions: complex thought-planetary ethics-social transformation. Discussion: the opinion of the teachers is slightly more positive than that of the experts, although both groups show the insufficiency of teacher training in these areas. Being an exploratory study, it provides a first comparative look. It will be necessary to complement it with a qualitative study.

Introduction: The article aims to unveil the way in which the CRUCH (Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities) universities are training their future teachers in the field of educational inclusion, for which the training itineraries and graduation profiles of the different pedagogies taught by these study houses present in its institutional web pages. From the methodological point of view, the research ascribes to a qualitative approach with a multiple-case design, taking into account the multiplicity of analysis units made up of the different study houses. For the production of information, the analysis of documents from the Internet was used, which in turn were analyzed through content analysis. Among the main findings, it stands out that, although most of the universities under study incorporated subjects related to inclusion, they are mainly focused on the attention of SEN (Special educational Needs), thus restricting the possibilities of understanding the inclusion processes and making other possible beneficiaries invisible; without counting on the perpetuation of the medicalizing paradigm that still underlies the training processes that is reinforced by current national legislation.

Introduction: It considers the applicability of the scientific mode of knowledge for the resolution of concrete problems of everyday life, individual or collective. Background: From the framework of criteria for scientificity, it is proposed to base the traditional methodological emphasis, with theoretical elements and epistemic and logical supports, to justify the empirical applicability oriented to social welfare. Discussion: Elements of contraposition and overcoming are considered that derive in proposals with theoretical foundation to fulfill objectives covered in the applicability of disciplinary principles; and with this, to frame traditional or emergent methodologies.

The objective of this study is to analyse the effectiveness of the academic poster as a pedagogical resource for the promotion of cross-curricular competences in engineering students. This study has been carried out with the participation of 402 students enrolled in different courses at the School of Design Engineering and the School of Telecommunication Engineering during the 2020-21 academic year. The results are drawn from pre-project and post-project questionnaires exploring the learner’s expectations and overall satisfaction upon completion. The authors also discuss project alignment with a number of cross-curricular competences. Although the degree of satisfaction in general has been slightly lower than the participants’ expectations, it should be noted that a high percentage of them value very positively the usefulness of the academic poster in acquiring cross-curricular competences.

Introduction: The return to the classroom after a long period of online, training due to the COVID-19 pandemic, entailed a process of adaptation for both students and teachers. This article explains a teaching proposal in a third year Pedagogy course to facilitate the process of returning to the classroom. Objectives: Accompany students, especially those who have difficulties, create a good climate of support and mutual help, as well as reinforce participation and involvement. Method: Use of the flipped classroom methodology, cooperative work in a small group, reinforcement of feedback in the return of evaluable activities and activities that promote self-efficacy. Discussion: The experience is in process of evaluation. However, the available data through the evaluation instruments allow us to affirm that the psychopedagogical orientation is a facilitating strategy for the adaptation process of the students.
