Resumen
In this article I focus on how the Spanish feminist writer María Martínez Sierra (1874-1974) brings to the surface one of the themes on which the author will reflect most intensely during her exile in Argentina: the old age of women and the significance of work at that stage of life. For Martínez Sierra, work in old age is not only a means of subsistence, but also a way of actively participating in society and one of the focal points of her feminist thinking through her cultural productions. I argue that, despite the scant attention paid by critics to her contributions to radio and women's magazines, a careful reading of some of these materials shows that Martínez Sierra's feminist militancy continues in exile and is resituated in these media, paying special attention to the issue of old age in women.

Resumen
The rules that restricted literary writing in the prisons of the first Franco regime are quite undefined. We will study how prison poetic works were received by censors inside and outside prisons, and how their authors got around these obstacles to create and disseminate them. In the face of the legal framework and the outstanding cases of repression of these texts, we will highlight the dissimulation mechanisms to obviate the penitentiary censorship. We will also analyze the censorship reports of some published prison collections of poems (such as those of José Luis Gallego), the dissemination of propaganda verses, as well as testimonies about their semi-clandestine dissemination to show that the poetic genre was not as censored as might be expected.

Resumen
The present paper wants to examine how social place articulates with the construction of meaning in the narrative of history. The period investigated is the second quarter of the twentieth century and the space analyzed is the intellectual relations around Farroupilha and the Vargas government. The objective is to analyze how the narrative about Farroupilha was constructed in the context of its centennial. For this, we have as a source to be examined the historiographical work O sentido brasileiro da Revolução Farroupilha de 1935, by the military and historian Souza Docca. The problem that guides the article is to know how the social place contributed to the construction of meaning of Farroupilha. It is concluded that the operability of the social place in the production of the aforementioned work was decisive as an element of the constitution of meaning of its narrative about the Farroupilha.

Resumen
The objective of this paper is to reflect on booksellers-publishers-printers, who were decisive cultural agents in the Mexican historical and cultural context in the period prior to the definition and development of the first consciously national literary and cultural project, that of the Academia de Letrán. I analyze similarities and differences between Variedades o el Mensajero de Londres (1823-1825), El Iris (1826) and El Recreo de las Familias (1837-1838), literary magazines that circulated in Mexico during the period and that due to their cultural and artistic impact can be considered as representative of the scope and limits of others of their genre. The booksellers-publishers-printers who planned and published them contributed both to keeping literary praxis alive during the convulsive years that followed the consummation of independence, as well as to renewing the historical, cultural and artistic resolutions and frameworks through which a specific literature and tradition, the Mexican one, was subsequently defined and articulated.

Resumen
In 1961, Pasado Meridiano – PM became the first Cuban film censored by the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC). Its form, visual language and content had been considered inappropriate for the new cultural politics that emerged from the new political authorities of the revolution. This article analyzes the historical process that led to its censorship, the political and cultural context of Havana in relation to freedom of expression, the cultural and political components of the film, its meaning as a cultural expression in the face of new cultural policies, and the reasons why it was censored. The “politicization of culture” becomes an important explanatory notion to understand the film Pasado Meridiano – PM as a cultural product that integrates the spheres of culture and politics beyond its artistic expressiveness.

Resumen
This article identifies links between journalistic intertextuality, stereotypes, and Caribbean integration in Encancaranublado y otros cuentos de naufragio (1982) by Ana Lydia Vega. In the anthology, Vega uses journalistic intertextuality, stereotypes, and other forms of crystallized language to establish a connection among the various Caribbean islands that is not typically represented in regional newspapers. This can be read as a commentary on the notion of imagined community (Anderson). Without aspiring to be a fiction of homogeneity, the anthology brings together a dispersed Caribbean region, which is, nevertheless, in the process of being integrated through a rewriting of the Caribbean confederation project.

Resumen
The current global pandemic has brought about changes and challenges for governments and for people's daily lives. This forum reflects on the different aspects of academic and artistic life that were affected, the main challenges to be faced and the lessons learned from a feminist perspective. The articles show how the pandemic significantly influenced the lives of women in this context, both personally and at work, and make gender inequality evident through different stories. The forum includes five contributions on the main problems and challenges faced by women in academia and research. The authors narrate, from a personal, entertaining and close-up perspective, how they were affected by the pandemic and give advice for similar scenarios in the future. The sixth contribution shows the main obstacles faced by a mother artist and how these were exacerbated during the health crisis.
