Resumen
Domestic work is an oppressive occupational niche for migrant women. The strategies domestic workers employ to resist this situation have been scarcely studied. This paper is interested in their activism. Through a qualitative study in southern Spain, the meaning of such socio-political action for migrant women is explored. In the spring of 2020, eleven activists from the Seville Association of Domestic Workers were interviewed. The material was subjected to content analysis. The meanings associated with their activism were grouped into four categories: (1) the horizon of “struggle”, (2) the forms of “struggle”, (3) the levels of involvement, and (4) the challenges of activism. The results are limited to a historically recent case, and to a small sample chosen purposively; however, they contribute to the understanding of migrant women’s agency, and open fields of reflection for domestic workers’ organizations.

Resumen
This article seeks to explain why there is more violence against migrants and transporters in some regions than in others. We compare the criminal ecosystem (number and type of criminal actors in a territory) and state resilience (a state’s capacity to take measures to combat organized crime) in the Gulf of Urabá (Colombia) and Agadez (Niger), and provide evidence from five other subregions between 2015 and 2022 using data from the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime’s organized crime index. We found that violence is a resource that hierarchically organized groups have more incentive to use against migrants and transporters than smaller or poorly organized criminal groups. The hypothesis targets only violence against migrants and transporters. More work needs to be done to address other forms of organized criminal violence.

Resumen
The movement of exchange rates generally had demonstrated unpredictable patterns over time as a traditional mode of payment, particularly the black or parallel exchange market that is already fueled by demand pressure. However, cryptocurrency and the parallel or black exchange market are global phenomenon traded outside the government strict regulations in Nigeria, hence, their economic implications and understanding by many persons, banks, policy-makers, governments, and companies remain a priori unclear. Therefore, this study investigates the impacts of cryptocurrency on black or parallel exchange rate market movement in Nigeria from Jan, 2021 to April, 2023 using the autoregressive distributive lag (ARDL) regression analysis and Granger causality test to affirm the hypothesis that, cryptocurrency do not have significant impacts on black market exchange rate movement in Nigeria. The result of the ARDL shows that cryptocurrencies trading are core determinants of the black or parallel market exchange rate movement in Nigeria during the study period. Therefore, we concluded that cryptocurrency has a negative and significant impact on black market exchange rate movement in Nigeria from Jan. 2021 to April, 2023 and recommend that the government as a matter of urgency regulate cryptocurrency in order to curb the excesses that come with it just like in Japan, China, and Australia, since Nigeria still engages foreign currency controls as monetary policy tools, so as to improve on consumers’ confidence on the domestic currency.

Resumen
The integration of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria implies that they must be explicitly introduced into valuation models and investment decisions. Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) does not take into account this integration, so it is necessary to know the real impact that ESG criteria have on the valuation of actions to carry out effective investment decisions. The approach used is the Value – Drivers Adjustment (VDA) through the Discounted Cash Flow (DFC) method for Shell PLC as one of the most influential O&G companies in the energy transition. The results of the analysis reveal that the impact of ESG criteria on valuation translates into a reduction of 29.11% of its target price. The need for investment and the rising cost of capital explain these result. This results in a more comprehensive valuation method, where ESG criteria are no longer supplementary information and become indirect financial elements.

Resumen
Latin American exports have undergone important diversifications and a particular primary and mineral products involvement, leaving questions about the degradation of the environment, as well as the true potential of the region. In this research, we describe and analyze the time series of clothing exports, presenting the correlational and analytical framework for Colombia, for sections 61 and 62, in relation to a Latin American group of countries of aggregation, between 2002 and 2021, applying the estimation of the dynamic linear time series model. Among the results, we found that there is a low participation of Colombian products in the garment exports and also, we found a decrease in the traded values over time; however, there is a potential for improvement for the months of vacations, special days, favoring such trade, which also improves with the increase in foreign direct investment. Among the limitations detected, it is necessary to improve support, innovation and financial management of this type of companies.

Resumen
In this paper the relationship of social cohesion and neighborhood satisfaction, an indicator of welfare of residents, is analyzed. Using data of a survey applied to residents of two neighborhoods in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, considering different attributes of the social environment (neighborhood trust, neighborhood participation, collaborative behavior, and neighborhood identity), we calculate an index of social cohesion to relate with neighborhood satisfaction. We estimated different specifications by probit and ordered probit. We find evidence that social cohesion has a positive and statistically significant relationship with the degree of neighborhood satisfaction. This result not only contributes to the related literature, but also to validate social programs and public policy whose objective is to increase the well-being of citizens through actions aimed at improving social cohesion.

Resumen
The center of this discussion is on the Agreement of Understanding for the Use of the Waters of the Verde River of 2019, which assigns 120 million cubic meters of water from the El Zapotillo dam for León, Guanajuato. The present objective, based on the perspective of the new culture of water, is to demonstrate the inconsistency of Guanajuato institutions, which insist on said volume of water as necessary for that city. The basis for this inconsistency is based on a descriptive-relational methodology that analyzed water management in León (2008-2018), by means of which it was determined that El Zapotillo is not essential for the city, because the crisis is not physical but socially constructed by the operating body, a problem that requires local attention and consequently another solution.

Resumen
Recently, Twitter has become a relevant media of information for public life, academia and general people. However, there is a gap in the knowledge about the Twitter user profile. Therefore, the target of this paper is to identify the sociodemographic profile of Twitter users on two geographic scales: at Metropolitan Zone of Mexico City and national. For this, the ENDUTIH 2018 survey is utilized, from which are retrieved sociodemographic characteristics, and it is implemented a mixed effected logit model over data. The main results are similar to those reported in international literature over the subject. At the same time, some findings are particular for the Mexican context. On one side, it has been found an over-representation of young, middle and high education people and the positive effect of number of digital devices and probability of Twitter use. On the other hand, on a metropolitan context, it has been found that decreases the negative effects of certain demographic characteristics on probability of Twitter use, e.g., elderly people. Additionally, it has been identified some pervasive gap on both analyzed geographic scales.

Resumen
The increase in chronic diseases in the Mexican population is one of the main problems in the health area. The objective of this research is to contribute to the study of the prevalence of multimorbidity and its effect on mortality from all causes in men and women between 50 and 80 years of age. With data from the Mexican Health and Aging Study, 2001-2008, the proportional hazards models, adjusted for socioeconomic and health variables, show that multimorbidity doubles the mortality risk for women and men, compared to that of their peers without multimorbidity.
