Resumen
The complex relationship between families, war and peacebuilding goes beyond the logic of victimization. The former have not only suffered the rigors of violence but have also fostered the development of armed actors, coexisted with them, emerged from their entrails and generated peace dynamics. The article examines how the specialized literature addresses these relationships and proposes a critical reading of their achievements, gaps and challenges. The analysis allowed the construction of five categories: 1) families as victims of the conflict; 2) families as peace educators; 3) families as promoters of war; 4) families of combatants and ex-combatants; and 5) resistant/survivor families as peacebuilders. Based on this journey, a proposal for an analytical/political approach was built around three axes: 1) the becoming of families in the contexts of peace and war (their constant process of constitution and reconstitution), 2) family experiences (which go beyond the simple sum of individual narratives), and 3) their agency (their capacity for transformative action). Based on these axes, we conclude with the need to promote a research agenda and political recognition of how families problematize their place in contemporary Colombia: their capacity to transform and reproduce violent logics

Resumen
Parenting has been a topic addressed extensively by psychology from various perspectives, including cognitive-behavioral approaches. Currently, other discourses are emerging that recognize parenting processes as interpersonal experiences with particular meanings. In this qualitative research, the objective was to analyze the reflective parenting practices of 31 parents of children in Medellín and its metropolitan area and to identify their practical repercussions on everyday family life. The results show availability, parental attunement, and dialogue as practices in which children are recognized as valid interlocutors. In conclusion, reflective parenting emerges as a stance that guides actions in a manner consistent with the discourses that emerge about children, which is part of an emerging paradigm or a return to affectionate ways of accompanying children in order to respond in a particular way to their needs, beyond establishing generalized guidelines.

Resumen
Today's education faces the challenge of educating individuals capable of adapting to a constantly changing world. In this context, the STEAM approach that promotes teaching and learning, integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, has emerged as a promising strategy to develop competencies in students. This research analyzed how the STEAM approach has been implemented in upper secondary education and its relevance in preparing students to be active citizens. A systematic review PRISMA was conducted, without setting any conditions with regard to the private or public system; the initial search returned 131 studies published between 2021 and 2024 in the Scopus, WoS and ERIC databases, to which inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, and 22 Articles that met the requirements for in-depth analysis were selected. Four categories of analysis derived from the extracted data that helped to answer the research questions raised were established: methodological approaches, themes addressed, educational strategies and effects. The findings revealed a preference for qualitative research and natural sciences as the central focus of research. A variety of pedagogical strategies were also evident, with project-based learning (PBL) being the most notable. The results indicated that the implementation of STEAM in high school has a positive impact on the development of cognitive and 21st century skills, as well as on student motivation. It is concluded that careful planning, implementation and evaluation of the approach, considering the social context of the students, is essential to maximize its benefits. Additionally, this study proposes a roadmap to integrate STEAM into educational practice.

Resumen
Quality of life in old age is a crucial that is gaining increasing importance daily. The research established the demographic, social, economic, nutritional, and mental health conditions associated with the quality of life of older adults in Santa Marta, Popayán, Pereira, Medellín, and Bucaramanga. A cross-sectional study was conducted with univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis, supported by the chi-square statistical test and crude and adjusted prevalence ratios, through a binary logistic regression model and an analysis of the quality of life profile with 2,506 people. The instruments applied were: WHOQOL-OLD scale, Family APGAR, MOS Social Support Survey, DETERMINE Checklist and CES-D scale. Variables favoring quality of life were identified, including living in Bucaramanga and Popayán, low educational levels, strong support networks, middle-to-high socioeconomic status, economic stability, regular physical activity, functional independence, and absence of pain, diseases, depressive symptoms and a good nutritional status. The results provide recent data, identifying key quality-of-life factors, updating the perspective offered by SABE 2015.While quality of life is determined at the individual level, objective conditions are essential to addressing existing inequalities and narrowing the gap in the protection of fundamental rights.

Resumen
Previous experiences and studies coincide in recognizing art as a powerful mediator in contexts of socio-political violence. The objective of this study was to explore how artistic and cultural initiatives developed by community-based organizations in Medellin generate and facilitate self-protection strategies, especially for women and youth in the context of urban conflict. An instrumental case study was conducted through documentary review, participant observation, territorial tours, semi-structured interviews and focus groups, from 2022 to 2024, with the participation of 15 organizations. It was found that art becomes self-protective because of its incidence in the strengthening of collective processes, mutual recognition, appropriation of safe territorialities and the possibility of an affirmative stance of artists and communities before armed actors, making art a protective umbrella that enables other types of relationships and agencies in the neighborhood, in addition to the legitimacy built by the organizations over the years. It is concluded that art allows an expanded self-protection is proposed that encompasses both a physical and emotional dimension, considering the links formed between individual and collective bodies, with caring actions that strive to maintain and strengthen solidarities and spaces for the common.

Resumen
In May 2015, the La Liboriana stream overflowed in the municipality of Salgar, Antioquia, one of the greatest tragedies in the department's recent history. The objective of this article was to analyze the disaster risk management carried out in the municipality of Salgar following the disaster, based on the principles of the social construction of risk. Through ethnographic work, the vulnerability of residents and the threats to which the territory has been exposed were identified. This, within the framework of the social construction of risk, allowed us to assess community resilience as an adaptive and coping strategy. This attribute was related, among other things, to the institutional trust that people placed in authorities following the disaster management process and the preparedness of both communities and institutions for the eventual occurrence of another event of similar magnitude. Finally, the situation was viewed in perspective with respect to similar cases in Colombia, resulting in lessons learned and observations to be considered in this type of scenario.

Resumen
Growing concern about human impact on the environment has led to the exploration of innovative educational strategies aimed at promoting sustainable behaviors. In this context, serious games have emerged as effective tools for environmental education. This study aims to identify and classify the main characteristics of serious games that encourage environmentally responsible actions. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was applied to the results of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) obtained from the Scopus database. Analytical tools such as VosViewer and Tree of Science were used to determine the most recurring game typologies and social dynamics associated with environmental issues. Twelve game categories were evaluated using six prioritization criteria, finding that role-playing games were identified as the most effective for fostering environmental learning due to their immersive and knowledge-retention capabilities. In contrast, board and card games were less effective due to their low appeal. The findings offer practical guidance for selecting teaching tools aligned with educational objectives and sustainability principles.

Resumen
Perinatal grief has been approached from the perspective of access to health services, but this article focuses on family therapy interventions for families who have experienced this type of loss. The purpose of this study was to systematize this therapeutic process using the "Caracola" methodology, which synthesizes five conversation topics in five sessions with three families grieving for perinatal loss, referred by a foundation in Medellín. The sessions were recorded, and after the transcriptions, the data were analyzed using critical discourse analysis. The results show how the participating families redefined their experience of perinatal grief through dialogue and activities that allowed them to communicate, construct, and integrate individual experiences, and to integrate grief into their family history. It is concluded that through the implementation of this therapy, it was identified that support strategies such as this one foster safe, sensitive, and respectful spaces that validate the diverse emotions experienced by families in the face of perinatal loss, and in which work is done to redefine experiences, mitigate pain, release burdens, strengthen bonds, and build tools to resume their life projects.

Resumen
Frailty is presented as a key risk factor for cognitive dysfunction in older adults. The purpose of the systematic review is to synthesize the evidence available in the last 11 years on the relationship between frailty, changes in neural networks and cognitive functioning in older people. The systematic and advanced manual search is carried out in the Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct and Google Scholar databases; inclusion and exclusion criteria are established for the selection of the most relevant articles, analyzing their methodological quality and relevance. As a result, 22 articles are used for narrative synthesis, 15 describe changes in neural networks in the phenomenon of frailty and 8 report on cognitive functioning. It is concluded that frailty in older adults is associated with significant alterations in brain white matter, volumetric changes in the cerebral cortex, and cerebral atrophy, which is reflected in a neuropsychological pattern that compromises global cognition. This phenomenon is characterized by pronounced executive dysfunction and impaired attention.
